I see.  I thought it stayed in "Processing" until it was done, and then what you saw is what you got.  I don't mind being patient, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.  I saw an invalid block earlier, thought maybe this was some kind of adjustment.

The rewards get calculated at certain intervals throughout an hour.  If backend processing is still working when the rewards are calculated then they may not be correct until they get around to the next interval.

I've seen the rewards change a couple times throughout an hour...

Many of us face the same situation with this block. This has happen quite a few times, most of the cases when the score reset is immediately before / very close to the end of the round. Slush has taken care of this, so on one side I agree - give it time, however, a timely notice will allow our pool master to take action in time, meaning before the block gets confirmed. He told that it is much harder to issue adjustments once the block is confirmed.

During rounds 17736 and 17737 there were issues with counting shares on one of nine backends. Before I noticed it and corrected it, pool found these blocks. So this time I don't have any data to recalculate and fix these two rounds, I'm sorry . I already added new metrics to monitoring system to prevent this to happen next time.

Looks like the new metrics haven't caught this new block 235160. I noticed the scores were reset about 5 mins before the end of the round...

But I have no idea how shares and rewards are calculated. It seems sometimes I have over 2000 shares and slightly over .001 rewards and sometimes I can have as little as 11 shares and have over .002 reward. And since I don't really know how the stuff works... I just sit back and watch it happen.

To be honest, the reason slush hasn't been on the board, is because of the all the noob's posting 2 pages a day.  Slush doesn't have time to sit here all day to keep up on the posts.  And when he finally gets back to the board he has 8 pages to catch up on, which he just can't do.

If we could keep all the repeat, and useless posts off the thread it would work the way it was supposed to work.  But for now, someone will likely have to pm him (already been done) to get his attention.

the noobs talk and asking questions here on the pools thread is why we need a slushs forum rather then trawl through 5000 pages on bitcoin talk.
then the chat could be subdivided out and handled in a general forum system while important things could be moved and modererated by a few chosen
