Question for some of the guys who have been here a long time.  

Back in Feb, March and April - before Bitcoin blew up and right when it blew up - how did Devcoin behave on the various CryptoCoin exchanges?

By the time I got here in May or so, Devcoin was at $.00041 USD, which I thought was dirt cheap and quickly bought a couple million coins and then added more Devcoins like 6 weeks later at $.00021.

I'm curious because I firmly believe Bitcoin will shatter $1,000 in under 12 months after getting its ETF license and I'm also certain that it will take a lot of crypto coins up with it and especially these old school original survivor coins, like Devcoin.  And I expect a few CryptoCoins to really increase in price by a massive amount - think DELL 1991-2000.

Now, I can predict (with fair accuracy) Bitcoin's price action before and after they get their ETF license (presuming they get it) based on my long experience with stock speculation but it's much harder to predict how Bitcoin's ETF will affect other alt coins like Devcoin.

So knowing what signs Devcoin's price action was showing leading up to and after Bitcoin blew up to $266 may help me figure out what to look for in Devcoin - as Devcoin is in my top 2 alt coins to accumulate for what I firmly believe will be a massive, media-hyped, global crypto-coin frenzy.

This chart will probably shed some light.  You can ask for just about any time period it seems.  I came to the Bitcoin scene in March while it was "blowing up" so I remember it well.  There are some peaks in the DVC/BTC exchange during that time.  I wouldn't know how to interpret that though

Thanks, I'll check out the graph.  March was still pretty early on.  Was there any change in behavior by individuals right around that time - I mean, were people in general very pessimistic or perhaps extremely optimistic - did many foresee what was about to happen or were most completely surprised by what was happening.

Usually you can predict a coming trend by human behavior - usually, widespread, extreme pessimism is a great contrarian to use when loading up on stocks or in this case on a particular coin.  These are things a chart won't tell you which is why I wanted to ask those who were around to witness it all.  Thanks again!

We are aproaching the next goal for our developers - the collaboration Platform -  I hope this helps partialy to realize in what direction the project develop itself.
Even we gonna run our own PLM system for the devda.ch projects it its hightly recomended that developers build there own small developing circles by using the presented tools/software for that purpose.

Openplm is the next Step to automatisation - a 2d platform that should allow to create and "realize" reallife objects present in the 3d simulator. To realize means a output on a kind of printer 3d or 2d, independent of the material used for its production.
Meanwhile is our 3d simulator up and running stable but there is still a lot work to do and ongoing. Next target is a stable and secure inworld economy.

You might be mixing versions of bdb?   If you do not have anything yet in your wallet.dat ,  wipe the data directory and try it.

There were 857 original receiver lines, so the average number of devcoins per share is 180,000,000 dvc / 857 = 210,035 dvc. Administrator pay is 121.0 shares, 14.1 percent of the total. The value at vircurex is 0.495 mcbtc/dvc, which works out to 0.104 btc. People are having trouble withdrawing money from mtgox, so their price is not real:

I won't use the mtgox price until that's resolved, instead I'll use the bitstamp price of 104$, which gives a share price of 11$.

I was able to submit 3 pieces of writing for this round (verified via the analytics files) which accumulate to more than 1,000 words. Each piece had 1 unique page view. However I am not on the receiver list. Can someone clarify why that is?
