solved. another mistake in manual here:

HBM2 Example usage: ./amdmemtool -i 0,3,5 --faw 12 --RFC 208
GDDR5 Example usage: ./amdmemtool -i 1,2,4 --RFC 43 --ras2ras 176

-i should be --i

thanks for cool-tool! hope you share your new on-the-fly editor and hope it will accept CLI parameters.

Hi. Apparently, there is already a Navi timing decoder. Will it be shared or private for now? The result is not shining yet. Compare with the result 1500+ tref 10000-12000.

Right, i did a bios editor a few months ago, was thinking about releasing it but then RBE came and i figured why have 2  Wink

Mine however decodes and encodes the entire strap, (with auto mode register fixes where necessary) works on navi 10, 12 and 14.

http://eliovp.com/bioseditor.JPG

Smiley

Thanks for all the hard work!!!!

How much coin donation is needed for your continued work and release of this for Navi?

Thanks again!!!!!!

Rx 5700 Asus Reference after copying 1500 timing straps I now get 57Mh PheonixMiner Ether on HiveOS with CORE 1375 CoreV 800 MEM915 Miner Reporting 118 watts

57 is too high, check for errors or bad shares. Its not point running too high a clock / too tight a strap if you do not end up getting a benefit.
For accurate measurements check poolside stats over 24 hours to get to know if a change (overclock or strap change) had any benefit.

57 is fine. 3 out of 4 of my cards are doing 59+ stable, confirmed hashrate at pool side.

https://i.imgur.com/mbcOyQF.png

This is amazing! High hashrate with low power use..

Can you help me achieve the same results? Would be happy to donate to your cause.... :^)

Looks like we might be able to squeeze some more juice outta the 5700 cards.

60 megahash is the limit for now - or is it?? - see red pandas latest video on hugh tube
the core can easily go way above 1400 - so it all about ram speed and ram timings.
i have four crappy blower 5700s they all do 56.5 megahash reliably(over weeks of mining - beware of 5700s that lose RAM stability over a hot summer)
with the core at 1300 ish mem at 1800 ish
ive done the 1500 straps and modded tref to 12000.

the main trubble with 5700s is hardly anyone uses them for mining (compared with polaris)
so folk like claymore are not incentivised to sit down and do straps like polaris.

i really like 5700s they are way better than polaris.
- but if there is another mining boom the 5700s may be swept away with what is coming this winter from amd
or maybe not . .  who knows. it may all be proof of steak - yum yum

WHAT WE REALLY WANT IS A DEFINITIVE BOOK ON DDR5 AND DDR6 AS USED IN PCS AND GPUS
so we can work it all out for ourselves.

not sure about the timings. but what is it you are trying to achieve here?
this gpu should be over 32 relatively easy. not sure about this maker though, in my experience ASUS is shit. try over 1150 core and over 2066 mem. you may also want to increase your volts to 850+ and it will be capped at the highest volts between the two: mvddc and cvddc

Just to record this information to help someone with this hardware in the future.
Yeah this card can go @32mh/s but I don't want more heat, there are 24 cards in a room and I can't use a lot of fans because of the noise.

In case you're still looking for solutions, here is my actual current setup for ethash, using TRM (autotuned):

amdmemtweak settings for all 8 GPUs: --RAS 30 --RCDRD 14 --RCDWR 6 --RC 44 --RP 12 --REF 15600 --RRDL 4

https://i.imgur.com/JzTlll9m.png

Bottom right pane shows profiles of 2 GPUs.  First profile can generally be run at 800mv for 47.5MH/s, and is *slightly* more efficient, but not by much.  Second one is for one of the GPUs doing 50.7MH/s - the only thing you should have to change from this is the mclk.p3 voltage setting - i need anywhere between 806-837mv across 7 GPUs doing ~50.7MH/s. Both profiles are using cclk p1 / mclk p3 (although in windows you may need to use mclk.p2 @ 1028MHz for the more efficient profile, to take advantage of the lower socclk - i'm not certain.)

Note this is slightly different from what I mentioned earlier... I was using core p0 (850/800) before TRM - and possibly before amdmemtweak (which likely would have resulted in 44MH/s.)  With TRM + amdmemtweak, it appears you need to have core running ~1000MHz to take (nearly) full advantage of the mem bandwidth @ 1107+adjusted timings (and get to 50+MH/s), so I use core p1 @ 1000MHz + mem p3 @ 1107MHz.

card0 and card1 is vega 56 or 64? samsung or hynix?
if vega 56 do you use 64 bios or default bios?
thx

FYI RBE has FULL GDDR6 decoded timings with the latest release...like 100+ different timings in the strap that will make your head spin...60+ MH stable should be super easy now.

If you're lucky, you might find a Vega 64 vbios for that same card (if they made em both 56 & 64), which is unique.. not much out there, Pulse, only 56 afaik.

That however doesn't mean they're crappy, i've got a Sapphire Pulse with Hynix memory and it's running smooth at 47~Mh (memory at 975).
Got a Samsung Vega56 too and hits 48+Mh..

The thing is, they only have 6 SOC states, so it gets auto forced into a lower memory state (800MH), you can see this in the tool..
Vega 64 has 8 SOC states, therefor it goes to the highest memory state (1000Mh).

Can you explain this, i'm interested in getting this hasrates and also any optimizations for my wonderfull 56s Pulse nano watercooled???

What PPT/timing to use for "all-cryptos-round config" with  Vega56-113-376XL-UO2-180315.rom
More specifcly what timings for ETH?

I'm ready to share all i have (PPT, Monitoring...) and i have a lot, so if you guys are interested... 975mem on our tinies nano pcb+hynix mem is that a joke?
Just need to set to maximum "sclk 5" right?!

My rocm-smi PPT, Ubuntu 18.04, AMDGPU-Pro 19.30:

I hit 42.6 with Hynix and 44.9 with samsung stock timing!

You can actually go 50 MHs+ on a vega 56 with Hynix.  This one can go 52 MHs+ at 1090+ core.
Code:

would someone please be able to help me out with some vega 64 timings and clocks and maybe ppt tables to get power usage below 200W at wall? been getting 48mh @200w from wall from each card, i imagine i can do better.

Settings in pic run ~168w/GPU including idle ATW (120v, 1600 plat PSU).  amdmemtweak params are --RAS 30 --RCDRD 14 --RCDWR 6 --RC 44 --RP 12 --REF 11700 --RRDL 4

Thanks mate ill give them a run. im on windows though and dont think i can get voltages down that low without powerplay tables? think its capped at 900mv.

You can use ODNT to easily create a PPT similar to my clocks/voltages listed on the right.  Only difference is that you may need to use mem P2 set to 1028 (and lock out P3), in order to take advantage of the power savings of a reduced SOC clock.

Btw, if you really want to get crazy, there's been a lot of noise about flashing a 64 w/ a 56 BIOS (yes, the reverse of what most people have been doing) to get higher hashrates at lower power.  Not sure which models this actually works for tho, and haven't tried it myself... yet.

i'm getting 54Mh (samsung) and 50MH (hynix). 930W on the wall for 6 vegas (all flashed 56). 900W on the wall, plat PSU.

Can u share your timings on the samsung vegas.

thanks

Please share your Hynix timings, it would be greatly appreciated.

Who can share the best timings for Vega 56 (samsung) for Eth, please.

Download TRM and check the ETHASH GENERAL TUNING txt. They have a good guideline to start with.

I have also noticed TRM gives a higher ETH hashrate with Vega`s in general, plus you can do the mem tune for some additional hash.
