~snip~ I have virtually zero complaint from our recent fast bowling line up, they performed exceptionally well in the last couple of years. India failed in SENA (minus last Australia's tour) due to batting + bad selections.
IMO every team is bully in their own condition, for ex look at the current WI vs Eng series. How table turned in last couple of weeks and this is the same England team (more or less), Who faced the humiliating defeat in the Caribbean conditions.
True. This has always been a problem with cricket. Conditions of pitch and weather affect the match too much. Shouldn't we have matches at neutral venues? Lol. Sharjah UAE? but why would any country give their share of revenue to some other country? If Indian team facing any SENA country in the middle east for all Test series then India is going to win 7 out of 10 times, as UAE supports spinners and Pitches are kinda dead for fast bowlers and Indian fast bowlers has fair amount of advantage here because climate is more or less similar to subcontinent.
Meanwhile Windies team

Haha! I think West Indies have their gods with them. There are some dark clouds lurking behind. So post lunch if we see some rains match could step more towards a draw. England would be literally crying after seeing this. LOL. There should be a rain festival going on with the West Indies fans as the rain has stopped play and hopefully we will resume soon as it is not a big shower and England just need 4 more wickets to wrap the match and i do not want to loose the match as i already wagged a series win for England and i do not want to mess that up because of rain and weather is a real killer as my blood pressure keeps on increasing when i see bad weather.

I did not follow-up today but this was meant to happen. Broad was out standing. I feel bad for Stokesi but good to see the balance and competition in English team. As a Test unit they are one of the best now. W Indies just lost themselves even after all the blessings rain had for them.

Player of the Match - Stuart Broad- Player of the Series - Stuart Broad- Who would have thought that the guy who got dropped in the first Test will come back and hijack all the limelight/headlines from the Ben Stokes. I expected Ben Stokes could share the man of the series with Stuart Broad rather than Roston Chase. It was a really good match and even with the rain interruption England was able to pick up the wickets and Stuart Broad once again proved why he is the best bowler in the squad as he was performing consistently and i was surprised to see him dropped in the first match and even Stuart Broad conveyed his disappointment for that decision.

Player of the Match - Stuart Broad- Player of the Series - Stuart Broad- Who would have thought that the guy who got dropped in the first Test will come back and hijack all the limelight/headlines from the Ben Stokes. Well deserved. He reached the 500 wicket milestone along with these awards which will surely boost his confidence going forward. Stokes did well though, but Broad was better in comparison. What an end to the test series the way it started WI become the favourites because of the scintillating win in the first test match and then England wave came which ensured that they stood up to their capabilities and outshine the West Indies team. Third test match belong to Broad who contributed with the bat as well and achieved the 500+ wickets in tests. This was superb test series overall to watch.
West Indies won the 1st test since England were over-confident and rested players like Broad etc. It's always tough for the underdog to prevail in such conditions.

This was to be expected from the WI as they have not been a good test team for many years now and always crack under pressure. Yes I did pick them to win the first test match as I thought that both teams would be even after there was no cricket played for many months due to the virus so both teams didn't have match fitness or no form which is why I bet on the WI. It was always going to be tough to beat England on home soil once the England team could back into form which we saw in the second test and they continued on with that form into the third test and won the series which most here expected. Congrats to Stuart Broad on reaching 500 test wickets, I think he still has a few more years in him so we could see reach 600 wickets in the near future.

There is no doubt that Stuart Broad is a tremendous bowler and he works very hard on his fitness. If he continues to work hard in this way, he will get 600 wickets soon. Believe me whenever I hear the name Stuart Broad, I remember this Yuvraj Singh. https://youtu.be/j-5re1bjfGM

Meanwhile Windies team Yeah true. So basically there is no solution to this thing. The team that hosts the series has 20% more chances of winning the series and we just need to accept that fact. Meanwhile,Was it a sort of joke or match fixing? The type of batting West Indies did in the second Innings? They knew that they couldn't reach the target so a natural approach would have been to settle and play defensively but I don't know what sort lf mentality they were in. ~snip~ Congrats to Stuart Broad on reaching 500 test wickets, I think he still has a few more years in him so we could see reach 600 wickets in the near future.

This incident occurred when Broad was relatively new to the international scene, during the 2007 ICC World T20. He was in his early 20s and back then Yuvraj was one of the superstars of T20 cricket. Broad has come a long way from there.

New format for everyone but yeah Yuvraj had more experience in intl arena.

That was a time when Yuvraj was the all-rounder and one of the best fielders in Indian team. His diving for catches and saving runs takes us back to those moments and how he has hit those sixes in a over just to show how class player he was during his time before the health issues occurred.
Thankfully he is completely fine now, and may be able to regain his old game. Hahah everyone in India remembers that night when they hear the name of Stuart Broad. Yes, it can happen to anyone but it did not happen to anyone at that time. This is the history of Yuvraj Singh who started six sixes. Stuart Broad is not the only player who was hit for six sixes in an over. In the international matches, it as occurred a total of two times. Here is the list: 1. Herschelle Gibbs (RSA) vs Daan van Bunge (NED) during the 2007 ODI Cricket World Cup 2. Yuvraj Singh (IND) vs Stuart Broad (ENG) during the 2007 World Cup T20 On top of this, the following players have achieved this feat during first class (or List A) matches: Sir Garfield Sobers for Nottinghamshire, Ravi Shastri for Bombay, Ross Whitely for Worcestershire Rapids, Hazratullah Zazai for Kabul Zwanan and Leo Carter for Canterbury Kings.

Actually this is true but the platform and the arena and level at which Yuvraj Singh achieved this feat was the largest. Gibbs did it against Netherlands which isn't that fascinating. And another thing which most of you might not know was the just prior to the t20 world cup when India went to Tour England in T20. It was Dimitri Mascarenhas who had hit 5 sixes on bowling of Yuvraj Singh. I still think it was the revenge of this incident that Yuvraj took. Lol.

Please do your calculation for future Top 3 contender. India is way ahead of the pack at this point. Australia is the only team which stands a chance at overtaking India at this point in my opinion. Bottom teams are basically eliminated at this point except for Sri Lanka who played very few matches. My top 3 future contenders are India, Australia and New Zealand. I don't think England can beat these three since they almost screwed up the recent series with WI.

England would have been in a much better position, if they had won the series 3-0. But they were complacent and lost the first match as a result of it. Now it is going to be an uphill task for them, to overtake Australia and get to the no.2 position. The test series against India is going to be very crucial for England. If they manage a couple of victories, then it is going to benefit them tremendously. All that said, I don't feel much excitement with this ICC World Test Championship format. Without a promotion/relegation system, it looks meaningless.
