SMB will be battling the hot TNT Katropa in the second game. This is very interesting since the Beermen is put on an underdog status (though not much), seldom we can see them in this situation so as a fan, i will be rooting for them.

Will stay away on the third game, doubt Rain or Shine could defeat a struggling Ginebra. Good luck on us all.

Nice odds for SMB, I'm also a fan of SMB, so even if TNT had a perfect record, I think SMB will bounce back to win against the best team in the PBA now. I might miss watching the first game as it's too early, it's 12:30 and I have so many important things to do, but definitely, I will not miss watching the 2nd game at 3;00 PM.

Looks like the TNT will have their first loss at the hand of the SMB, already in the 4th quarter now with only 2 minutes left in the game, SMB has a 15 points lead, I think this game is already over. Now, no one is undefeated in the conference, and yet the hottest is still the DYIP as they are still in 3 winning streak and has not loss since the PBA return.

If CJ Perez was still in DYIP, we won't other names on their roster stepping up.

Honestly, I didn't even know some of them until they are producing good numbers. This team has a future if it won't be destroyed thru trades.

There are a lot of players being added to the DYIP roster due to the departure of CJ Perez, and it turns out to give a good result to the team's chemistry. No star player for the team, no problem. CJ Perez not getting his minutes with the SMB as he is not a starter, but he has to play his role, I hope he doesn't miss his role with the DYIP.

Ramos, McCarthy and Rosser are those who are being added to their roster, If I remember it right these players are quality players they can really contribute, Rosser and McCarthy are very familiar with each other while Ramos is really known with his outside shooting skills, we've seen them contributing together with those old familiar players within the squad.

CJ is not getting his rhythm yet, as Romeo and Fajardo still the main scorer of SMB. He needs to jive and build good. chemistry, we will see more when the resume of the game takes place.

That is also one of the good things when you are adding many players to the team and knowing that some of the players of the Dyip are young an they got 2 first round picks as well. As long as these players will not go to another team, their chemistry will be built overtime and they might be a playoff contender at that time. I just hope that SMC and MVP will not milk these young players.

I'm a SMB fan but I hate these 2 companies because they are killing the competitiveness of the league. Money over competitiveness is what is on their mind. Anyway, Perez isn't felt in SMB because of their all-star players but give him time and he will be one of the top scorers of the team. Maybe it is not now but maybe in 1-3 years.

Low scoring between two super teams seems that it's off night for coach Chot's squad.

I didn't watch the game but when seeing this post I check the stats and key players like Castro, Rosario and Erram didn't perform much.
Only Pogoy from their core who made double digit but also ain't enough to help TNT to continue their winning streak.

And to add up, All San Miguel teams win their games. Magnolia went to double OT. Abueva once again leads Magnolia together with
his San Sebastian duo Ian Sangalang.

Money compared to competitiveness takes away the enjoyment of the game in my opinion. You can always buy better players if you have the budget but seeing a team build chemistry over time and seeing them playing with that crisp-chemistry is on a whole another level of enjoyment. Yes, I love to see the best players playing on the field but I also love to see the insane chemistry plays of these teams.

Building chemistry and allow each youngster to prove what they've got, unlike playing with big franchise where this young
generation star can't do anything but to watch their stars playing, with how DYIP showing trust with each player inside the court

I agree, JMF doesn't have to force himself to score double-digit points as of this time because a lot of his teammates are offensive machines. Grabbing 17 17 rebounds is not a thing that a player would do every night even if you are the tallest player so that's already a big help already for the team.

Meanwhile, the hottest team Dyip will be playing against Phoenix and the odds are almost even but I have to bet for the latter here because Dyip, as i've said before, is not yet consistent on winning games.

The biggest company that handles a lot of teams in the PBA, looks like a monopoly for these two big giants that's why PBA is less exciting to watch. they struggle on the high expenses on this pandemic, I think it's time for them to open the league for more team owners so there will be more teams playing and that will add the excitement to the fans, I just missed the old PBA though.

Yes, against offensive teams like SMB, you have to score. Otherwise, you cannot contain them for the whole match. And JFM did quite well in my opinion. Even if he did not score tons, having that many rebounds are impressive - especially having 5 offensive rebounds helps the team, though in a passive way - but still helps the team quite a lot.

They are now tied with Phoenix Fuelmasters, with 3-5 record, who would have thought that DYIP will have a better record than the Alaska Aces who are next to the bottom with 2-4 record. Next game of DYIP is this coming Saturday against Northport, let's see if they'll prove us wrong with our belief that the last 3 wins were just due to luck.

This is normal because Tiongson, after that high scoring game of him is already a marked man, meaning he will be depended well and it is up to his teammates to step up for them to continue winning but as you have said, they are not consistent on winning games so a lose is kinda expected.

You know, this run had to come to an end and it happened against SPF, and kudos to SPF and specifically Manuel and Perkins. They have proved that their team is on a one-man army, and relying on one player is not always good for a team in the long run. Perkins and Manuel stepping up is a good sign for them.

in regard to Tiongson, you are right he's already been marked by every team after that good game against SMB
and BGSM as he managed to lift the team high by contributing enough to snatch the game away from the two favorites.

DYIP needs to win to continue their chance to move to the next round.

They need to adjust now that Tiongson will only be limited since the defense was focused on him, as you guys said, he is already a marked man and he will not surely achieve what he scored during the first 2 wins of DYIP this season. Good to the DYIP, looks like they are now challenge after winning 3 straight wins, I hope they'll recover and start winning again.
