With Barcelona dropping points yesterday Real have the chance to move 2 points ahead at the top of the table if they can defeat Espanyol today. I don’t think Real will mess this up, they will take victory today.

I was thinking the same but looks like bookies aren't so sure about that. 1.5 is not at all bad odd considering how good Real Madrid is playing. It would be great bet to include if someone going for parlay.

Zidane must be the happiest manager on the Earth right now. He has options which none other manager in Europe got, not even Liverpool. Imagine having 9 quality forwards, 7 quality midfielders, world-class defenders and goalkeepers and all in fit form! He is rotating his players superbly. Even Bale and James started in last couple of matches which is keeping whole squad fresh. While on the other hand, Barcelona is struggling due to bad decisions and injuries. Messi has to play all minutes in every game else Barca will straight away lose, De Jong and Roberto are injured, Arthur leaving, Dembele always injured, Carles Perez and Todibo were shipped on loan. Board has really messed up the Barcelona and now only miracle could make them win the league.

Real Madrid certainly targets full points in this match, besides wanting to continue the winning trend, Zinedine Zidane's squad certainly wants to stay on top of the La Liga standings.

After doing a little rotation in the match vs Mallorca, El Real seems to be back to rely on a number of core players in the match later like Eden.
The opportunity to take home the three points also seems wide open because Espanyol has never won in the last three matches while simultaneously occupying the lowest position of the standings.

At the very last minute of the 1st half, Casemiro has scored for Real Madrid. No more goal. It was not much of hard. With this win, Madrid is now ahead of 2 points. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid may nail the last in the coffin of Barcelona.

Yep, Celta made 5 shots on targets from 10 total shots. Barcelona only made 2 shots on targets from 19 total shots. I don't know why Barcelona became less effective in finishing. Did they only focus on increasing the number of shots without thinking it is effective or not?

So sorry for Barcelona fans, I think with the current performance of their players, Barcelona will be difficult to win La Liga or even UEFA Champions league. However, there is a chance, but I see it a very small chance.

looking at the schedule till the end of the season, Real has a clear chance to get the title, hardest obstacle will be in Bilbao, but do not think that they will risk the title there, and Barcelona has Atletico in next round, after that it is all solvable, so do expect them to win at least five match till the end

Yes, the match on Tuesday against Atletico will be crucial for Barcelona and I think it could already be an preliminary decision in their fight to defend the La Liga title if they lose. As you said, in the remaining matches Real looks (on paper at least) as heavy favourites in almost all of them. So if Barca loses tomorrow they could potentially fall behind Real with 5 points after this matchday. And if that happens, I don't see them coming back to overtake Real.

I'm beginning to suspect there is a curse behind every No. 7 jersey worn by Ronaldo, every since he left Manchester United everyone who wore the jersey never thrived. Hazard in Chelsea was never this injury prone. It could be due to environmental factors and a lot of changes underlying with the new environment.

We just hope he recuperates to the Eden Hazard he has been since he came to limelight in 2012. He is energetic and he causes uproar with the ball anytime he clings it.

So, I'm rooting for Real Madrid to be champions once more.

It is very possible for Barcelona to win ATM as it been played at Camp Nou. Barcelona has not lost a single match there for very long time.

The main match that would be terrific for Barcelona is Vs Alaves and Villarreal.
