1141  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Halvening Watch on: January 16, 2024, 07:53:32 PM
Im not a watch guy either but if I were I’d definitely have to own something like this. While it might not be as big of a flex as those watches with the Casascius coins on the dial (I might have to get one someday) it is still cool that such professional products are becoming commonplace with Bitcoin branding. Thanks for sharing.

I can't find mintage stats on these pieces. Can you provide those?

I have one with gold highlights id like to know the mintage numbers for.

I never tracked the mintages on these coins, mostly due to having so many retail partners early on and struggling just to keep coins in their inventory from the mint. However, I can say that the 2018 year was crazy how many were sold. I think I shipped to 50+ different countries or something like that. So as far as rarity is concerned, the 2019 & 2020 coins are by far the most rare, whereas the 2018 year is shocking to me how many exist. I’d guess a number in the tens of thousands. As for the gold highlighted versions, only a few hundred of each type were produced.
1143  Other / Meta / Re: Have the rules of the DT system and Forum rules amended ? ? theymos on: January 16, 2024, 07:36:54 PM
Centralize the system and let the admin moderate it. It's obvious we're not ready for Decentralization just yet.

The DT system was already centralized a few years ago, theymos acknowledged this in his post here:

For years I've been unhappy with how DefaultTrust ended up as a centralized and largely-untouchable authority...

Theymos can moderate the DT system even now. If you think someone is abusing the DT system, you can PM him. I don't know how he will react to such a message or if he will react at all, but you, as well as any other forum user, have this option.

Anyway, there are many conceivable ways to abuse the system, but if it happens, you can just shoot me a PM and I'll fix it, probably in less than 24 hours.

The problem with theymos being able to moderate the DT system is that he doesn’t. I’ve seen him make empty threats to people and when they spit in his face he just takes it and moves on. When the only action is empty threats that never get followed up on, he’s basically a useless observer of the system when it comes down to it.
1144  Other / Meta / Re: I heard that this forum used to have advertisements on: January 16, 2024, 07:33:24 PM
It is odd that these advertisements went away as they were a major source of revenue for the forum. It would seem like if theymos wants to continue to distance himself from responsibilities here that he would’ve found someone else to take control of the advertising, but I guess with all the money laundering operations trying to advertise here it wasn’t worth the liability anymore.
1145  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Aliens in Florida Mall? on: January 16, 2024, 07:29:46 PM
I’m surprised and maybe even a little disappointed that nobody voted for this being an actual alien invasion that was thwarted by the Miami police. I had hoped this topic would spew some interesting conspiracy theories but I guess it was just too ridiculous. As we move closer to the election at the end of the year, I’m sure we’ll see all sorts of weird things in the news cycle. I’m picturing a pregnant Taylor Swift begging people to vote Biden in October (just prior to the election).
1146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2024, 07:21:01 PM
The market seems to have found a price it’s happy with at the moment. We’ll have to wait for the ETF to scoop up all the free floating BTC and start hitting up public markets before another big move. It’s anyone’s guess how long that will take, but after this week we should have a little better idea about the ongoing demand.
1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 16, 2024, 07:19:18 PM
I think that for most people who understand gambling, knowing when to stop should be easy. When you are no longer having fun and aren’t getting the entertainment value you’re paying for, you should stop. Doesn’t matter if you’re up or down financially, the moment gambling becomes stale or boring, you should find something else to do. If you aren’t smiling, you’re losing.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 16, 2024, 07:17:46 PM
It was weird seeing NBA games on so early yesterday. I guess it was due to the MLK holiday? Was funny seeing Durant post so early in the morning that Joel Embiid only needed 3 quarters to destroy the Rockets. I had to check to see what he was talking about so early….

Nice to see the Lakers closing back in on .500. With the trade deadline approaching things will start getting interesting soon.

t deliveries to begin in volume in 2022." It's a bit of a wait, but I believe it will be worth it. 🚀 What do you think of the Cybertruck's unique design and features?

This family seems happy that it can make them coffee during a power outage. Smiley

An under-appreciated aspect of this truck is how it can provide power to a home. It’s like 10 Tesla Powerwalls. While the clip below is cool, the Cybertruck could power their entire house if they had their house ready for powershare. I’m sure they’re awaiting installation. No need to even leave your kitchen.

1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 15, 2024, 11:59:14 PM
As if things couldn’t get worse for the Wizards. Now their player Ryan Rollins is being accused of stealing candles and soap from a Target store (7 times). This is a guy that makes over a million dollars a year. I’m not sure if this is a case of old habits being hard to break, or if 1.7 million dollars really isn’t enough to get by in today’s economy for some people…
1152  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] My Casascius Collection on: January 14, 2024, 07:50:02 PM
Just an FYI. I will only accept BTC for these coins. No USD in any form will be accepted for any reason.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 14, 2024, 07:39:05 PM
A good matchup today with a couple of the hottest teams in the league. This could be a good matchup in the postseason. The Los Angeles Clippers vs the Minnesota Timberwolves. I think the Timberwolves could come away with a win, but it will mostly depend on whether Minnesota’s defense can stop the Clippers offense in my opinion.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 13, 2024, 07:21:33 PM
Poor Scoot Henderson. He just set a record for the lowest two game +/- with a -83. It’s definitely not his year. I hope he gets it figured out. Probably the biggest bust of all time as it stands now.
1155  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar & extortionist. Get him out of DT! on: January 13, 2024, 07:18:37 PM
So the stolen are the forked coins?

Nope. Those were sent to theymos too. Except the ones that were valueless and theymos didn’t want sent back, which are still sitting at the address because it isn’t worth my time to deal with.

This thread was opened 5 years ago yesterday. I am surprised that both sides are still going at it with each other after all this time.

I think it’s best for everyone involved to just drop it.

Had I never stood up for you, this attack would have never been launched against me. Remember that.
1156  Other / Meta / Re: Have the rules of the DT system and Forum rules amended ? ? theymos on: January 12, 2024, 11:58:24 PM
I have ibweiner ignored, but I assume he posted something about his trust abuse as well.  That idiot gave me negative trust for quoting a return in USD, when literally every single legitimate entity in the world, including the government, only cares about the USD return %.  His denial to accept this isn't based in reality and if this trust logic was applied equally, literally everyone in the speculation section of the forum or anyone who has ever priced anything in dollars here should have red trust.  This is the type of mentally deficient idiot that belongs nowhere near DT...  Yet he's one of the morons along with suchfail (another good ignore) who are running a website all about user stats here while trying to manipulate the trust network.

It's nice to see so many others begin to recognize what a shit show DT turned out to be without guidance.  A failed experiment at this point.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 12, 2024, 10:50:01 PM
And so the rumors is still swirling on Andrew Wiggins being traded right now, it was reported that Toronto might be his new home, but we will see. Just sad that Wiggins is still in his prime and yet this season, for unknown reasons, he looks like he is already wash up and Kuminga taking over his position.

Also the same with Looney, and again, reports indicate that he might be also in the trading block and replace him with a new and fresh center for the Warriors. We will Draymond as well and how he will be when he comes back.

I read the opposite, that they were more open to trading Kuminga and keeping Wiggins now. I guess Kuminga and Draymond are having some issues… The Warriors and Lakers are both getting pretty aggressive in talks along with the Raptors and Bulls. Even Miami to a lesser degree. I wouldn’t be surprised to see those teams involved in some big moves over the next 3 weeks.
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 12, 2024, 10:32:50 PM
It is nice to read so many based replies from people who understand gambling is entertainment. Now if only traders could realize the same, and that exchanges are not much different from casinos…
1159  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar & extortionist. Get him out of DT! on: January 12, 2024, 10:17:51 PM
How come are we now only hearing about this theft? Because that is alot of coins.

That’s because it didn’t happen. Anyone can look up the address and see that I sent the full 500 BTC back. If you look the address up on various block explorers you can see where I also sent the forked coins as requested. I wouldn’t have received positive trust from theymos had I mishandled the treasury funds.

EDIT: The address is public where I held the funds: 1Eog8UqRFLufC71rBLt2nYgfUDskgxAyVF

You can see below 500 BTC was received on 3/22/2013 and I sent 500 BTC to the new multi-sig treasury address on 5/25/2019.

Speaking about the Lakers...  You can see how badly Durant wanted to get a win over LeBron after being buried in their last meetings this season.  It was important for Durant to win this one for "legacy" reasons as LeBron has owned him this season after not meeting up in the regular season for years...  Below is an article where Booker talks about how Durant was telling all his teammates to be aggressive.  I think Durant knew the Lakers were going to try and shut him down to let LeBron get another W on him, but Durant was focused on the win and I'm glad he finally got one.

Edit: I can’t even deny it. I’m officially a Grayson Allen hater. https://x.com/barstoolsports/status/1745679027212271876
