1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 23, 2023, 04:41:31 PM
I know it is not "premier league" but I didn't know where to write it since we do not have a "national league" topic. Wrexham AFC, the team Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny owns ended up winning the title and they are in the league 2 next season. Definitely was a great team last season as well and deserved to win and in most other seasons they would have, but Stockport had a magical season as well and went up instead, this season Wrexham didn't let it be chance and won it already at the first place instead of being in the playoff spot.

It is not normal for celebs to own a team and like that team right away, but Wrexham seems like a big historical club that deserves our love. Glad they are there and I hope they keep doing better. The issue is that national level is something rich club owners could afford, now it is getting to the level where even they can't afford to build a superstar team that can win the league easily, it is going to cost a ton and it is a difficult job to do. Lets see how it goes but I am very happy to see them happy.
1482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down. on: April 23, 2023, 03:38:21 PM
Not by much though. I mean I understand it was over 30k and that made everyone happy and I understand it is under 28k which makes people upset, but that is just a drawback. Remember, the market "could" become a like a bow sometimes, and it ends up thinking that you could draw the bow back a bit, and then you let it go and the arrow goes, so if you draw it a lot further back, as back as it gets then the arrow goes further, if you draw it just a little then it goes just a little away, as far as your own foot.

So, this could be a drawback and I believe it is, this means that we are just testing back the 28k levels to see if it's strong enough and then when we see it is, we will feel more comfortable about buying a lot more bitcoins.
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 22, 2023, 07:48:55 PM
I honestly do not remember last time I saw a team stay under 80 points in a playoff series. I mean sure it must happen but it is not a common thing at all, it is a very rare thing without a doubt. So far that is the lowest points scored in a game this playoff period with Wolves following them with 80 right back, but most other games were 90+ points and almost all teams scored 100+ points so far at least once as well.

This was a good offense by Knicks but it was also a combination of great defense from Knicks and a terrible offense by Cavs without a doubt as well. They missed some open shots as well and turned the ball over as well. Nuggets game was easier and more sensible, Wolvfes did their best but Nuggets was just so much better and now they are one game close to finishing the series.
1484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC calls Algorand a security - thoughts? on: April 22, 2023, 07:11:21 PM
SEC basically considers everything that has a "owner" that sells these as a security. Meaning xrp is a security, algo is a security and there are plenty tokens that is security that they just didn't bother checking but 90% of token world is a security. Why do they consider such a thing? Because if there is a project dev at the top that sold you these coins or tokens, that is instantly security, that is what security means.

Bitcoin is not like that for example, nobody made bitcoin and sold it to you, well miners do but not created the idea of bitcoin, just mined it. Same goes for eth, or ltc, for example the biggest misunderstanding is that BNB is also a security, but not directly just yet. So all in all, a correct decision by SEC.
1485  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BTC deep continues for the next SIX Months. on: April 22, 2023, 06:15:35 PM
It is true that there will be people who like to spread FUD, and they will keep doing whatever they do and I feel like that should be the case for every time. I know that it is not going to be a big deal for the time being but I do agree that it should not be going on for too long neither. When they spread the FUD they created out of nowhere (fully fake and proven already) they do not help everyone, in fact they hurt the market by making some people believe them and not buying.

Some people end up waiting for the price to fall harder like they say, and it doesn't, so they miss a chance to make a profit because of people like OP. So all in all, FUD may not change the price much, but it does hurt individuals who believe in them.
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would the advancement in AI have any adverse effects on cryptocurrency? on: April 22, 2023, 04:03:29 PM
There will be good ones and there will be bad ones. Good ones is that if you use AI properly then you can build something that would be unheard of anywhere else, and put AI into crypto and when you combine those two things together you can make something that is insanely highly ranked, like at least top 10, maybe even go as high as top 5 if you do a very well rounded one.

This will be hard and it will take some time and require some world class developers to build so I do not expect it anytime soon, but when we are talking about this much money in the end, I am sure they will do it eventually. Bad one is that many projects will just put "gpt" at the end and act like they are AI when they are not just to steal your money.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it advisable to invest on Solana? on: April 22, 2023, 02:33:32 PM
Advice is not something I am comfortable doing, it's easy to say not buy something, like I highly advise not to buy doge for example and at the worst case you won't earn money, but not buying will not make you lose money anyway.

However to say that you should buy something is a bit different, it just means that you should not be really looking for that, and it would end up being something a lot worse for you if you buy it and it goes down, so saying you should buy could have bad results. But for this project, SOL looks like something you could avoid and it could be fine, I am not saying it won't go up, but it has nothing special about it that can bring you more money than anything else above it, so it should be alright to avoid it.
1488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: April 21, 2023, 08:12:55 PM
Could it be trained? It could be, not impossible but of course it would be very difficult to say something about it neither. This is basically odds, I mean at poker if you can calculate the odds on your head then you already know. So an AI could do two things if you ask me, one is amateurs can become better, not better than great masters but better than how they were which is definitely true and doable.

Second would be people with less mathematical understanding, or dealing with multiple tables at a time, could have odds ready for them to decide. You could still have 99% chance to win and end up losing though, it still doesn't guarantee you any wins, you still need to make your own decision.
1489  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay your debt with monkeys! on: April 21, 2023, 06:46:10 PM
Lol this is both a funny and a sad story at the same time. I do not see why monkeys should stay in one nation, if they want to give it away in exchange for their debt, that is great, I would literally be fine with keeping as little as 100-200 monkeys in my nation and give the rest to another nation to pay the debt, even if just a little.

I do not know how big this debt is, and I agree that it doesn't look like too much endangered neither with the size, so if they do cover a good chunk of the debt that looks like a good idea. I am not saying that is good because they can't pay the debt, that part is sad, the fact that they can use the monkeys is not the sad part. I hope they do better and reach a level where they can pay their debts.
1490  Economy / Economics / Re: Why America Can Be The Biggest Economy In The World? on: April 21, 2023, 05:55:23 PM
It is true that USA has a dark history, but I think that the fact that they reinvested most of their profits to improvement of life is also a great deal.

I mean the difference between USA and China would be that they both violated human rights, and in return they ended up different, China is strong as a nation, but individually people are poor and not living like Americans, whereas USA violated human rights, you can agree or disagree that it made them as rich as they are now, but they DID have slavery and terrible discrimination, but they at least used that to make the nation stronger while keeping individuals rich, look at how rich a regular American is, and look at how rich a regular Chinese person is and you will see the difference. THAT is the reason why USA is so big, the wealth is shared better than any other big nation.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shitcoinpocalypse: Let's give a bunch of anonymous cartoon cat developers a $33 on: April 21, 2023, 03:41:15 PM
I honestly think that it is not a good idea to do something like that. I mean why would you want to start an NFT/crypto project like that in order to make more money, developers are insane to think that this is a normal way of making money. I get that they can, but just because you can doesn't mean that you should. I could also pick up a gun and go rob a bank, but try to guess why I do not do that? You think jail is a good reason?

Well, what you think will happen when people realize that you rug pulled them? I mean you just took their money, and assume will not achieve much else, and just claim you "spent" it on marketing when in fact you would be personally spending it. This is why we should be a lot more careful about these type of people.
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pepe The Frog (PepeBNB) made 644% in 2 days and keeps growing on: April 21, 2023, 03:08:23 PM
We seriously need a big purge in crypto. I am losing my mind thinking about what people spend their money on, I can't believe that everyone is alright about this, nobody should be alright about any of this. It just doesn't feel like it's a good idea to keep on investing into silly stuff just because you think it could make you some money.

I hope that it does better in the end, I hope we get rid of these type of stuff but more importantly I hope that we get rid of the mindset that silly stuff could make you money and that's all that we care about. I am sorry but if you keep on caring about just the money part, just the money will be the thing you will lose, there is no need to do anything like this at all, it makes no sense.
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Back in 2021 Form ;) on: April 21, 2023, 02:34:34 PM
I think that will take some time. I know that it has gotten so much more attention lately but that is what happens with ETH each time it goes up. Because it got a lot of attention, we ended up seeing the gas fee increase as well, because we saw the gas fee increase, people will start to look for other stuff and because they will leave for other stuff, we are going to end up seeing ETH price not going up that much more.

This is a cycle, then the gas fee drops due to people leaving, and the price goes back up again, and this repeats all the time. In the 2021 bull period we didn't had that, we had gas fee being high and people still using it anyway to make even more money than they spend on the gas fee, that is not available today.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 20, 2023, 07:29:30 PM
We gotta remember Lakers is the 7th seed, and Memphis is the 2nd seed in the west right now. I can understand why many people want to see Lakers winning and even odds showing that but remember odds are done based on your bets, so if you bet on Lakers to win all the time, and most people do, then the odds would be better for them to win, doesn't mean they are the favorites.

I still think that Lakers may end up losing this series, after all the seed should mean something and yes upsets happen but they are not the common one. How many 7 seeds have won against 2nd seed and how many 2nd seeds won those series? I bet most of the time 2nd seed ends up winning the series, and there is no reason why it should be any different now.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: April 19, 2023, 07:15:30 PM
We need to remember that this is coming from behind, it is not the current model, which means that according to ChatGPT, there is no Haaland in the team, we need to remember that. At the end of the day if it says United has a chance to win, hell if it says Liverpool has a chance to win, and it says Liverpool has Mane, we can just see that it is just too back in history and not recent.

This season there are two teams that can win it, either Arsenal or City will win it, there is no other option, that's it. You do not need an AI to tell you that, and you can predict who will win it by flipping a coin and that would be as true as anything else, because there is no way to know which one will win based on anything else, it's just a guesswork.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HK envisions a positive outlook for cryptos, especially altcoins ? on: April 19, 2023, 05:34:25 PM
I would guess that a huge amount of money go pouring into crypto after this. Hong Kong is not a small place, it's connected to china, which means that we are talking about insane level of money there and being able to actually invest into crypto directly there means that we are going to end up seeing too many people putting money in.

Normal people like you and me there exists too, and they will put a sum in the crypto when it's official, but that's not the real deal, that is good of course but the real deal is that there are so many wealthy people there which could cause a lot of profit for all of us if they all go into it. Imagine a few billionaires and dozens of millionaires putting money into bitcoin at the same time when it's officially lifted.
1497  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: April 19, 2023, 04:41:34 PM
As someone who is waaay too interested in AI, both chatgpt and midjourney (rest are not as good if you ask me) I can tell you that it is not "really" changing it. I can say that it is the people who already interested in that job before could be using it later on as well.

Personally I believe that if I was a designer, then I would use midjourney better, and as someone who likes to write, I can use  chatgpt better as well. You could build so much with them already, like literally make a big income from it if you know how to use it, but if you do not? Then you will not be able to make a dime out of it. So, it is like a designer using photoshop, there is nothing stopping you from learning photoshop and doing it yourself, but you still paid people for it, which means it will be the same with midjourney or any other AI as well.
1498  Economy / Economics / Re: Advises 'Get Rid of Your US Dollars Now (Economist Peter Schiff) on: April 19, 2023, 03:40:43 PM
I mean get rid of your fiat should have been a lot better I agree with that. It is obvious that if you are doing something with your fiat, then you are about to lose a lot of it because inflation is killing it and FED is about to stop the interest increase, or maybe even start to decrease it soon.

This means that a ton of money was withdrawn from the market and put into interest and savings, and all of that will be going out as well in the near future, when it does the market will be flooded with fiat and that is going to hurt the value of it. This is why whatever fiat you have, it is a smart move to change that into something else. I personally highly suggest buying bitcoin, but even gold would be a better thing than fiat.
1499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto or Forex? on: April 19, 2023, 02:31:22 AM
Obviously crypto. Crypto (believe it or not) is safer, because I think spot trading and long term investment is a good idea here. Whereas we are talking about something that would be a bit different and would result in something that could happen to be a bit more risky stuff when we are talking about forex.

After all forex is a quick trading stuff, with high leverage and the results would be something much better. In the end we should not be worried about this comparison or versus because we are in the bitcointalk forum and you shouldn't be shocked to learn that most people here would prefer bitcoin. I love it so much that I am investing every penny I can afford into bitcoin to make a profit in the future.
1500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Live it, face and enjoy. The future belongs to us in earnest. on: April 19, 2023, 01:59:02 AM
These type of "motivational speech" stuff never really made sense to me. I understand that some people would like to speak like ancient Greeks or romans and want to enlighten the world for some people.

But in our modern world, we are well beyond that, our life consists of waking up, going to work, coming home, watching tv, sleeping and repeating that, sure there are some people who go outside of that, and there are situations like illness or death and that is why I feel like there are hardships here and there, but when you look at the overall situation, that's just not the thing we do everyday, we just do the other one. So, all these big talks about life and what it is about and people etc etc makes no sense to me anymore, not in 2023 at least.
