Holy stock rally Batman! I can’t remember the last time my stock portfolio was so green. Definitely feels like a shift has been made in the investment world. A bit curious why Bitcoin hasn’t followed suit and gone up a significant amount today, but I guess after the recent rally the market needed a breather. Still good news that money is flowing back into equities.

Clippers lost 5 in a row if I am not wrong, that seems like a situaiton that isn't just about Harden, hell Harden wasn't even there when this losing streak started. It's obvious that they are not aware how he plays, they need time to adjust. The team has Westbrook, Harden, Kawhi and PG together, if you ask me which four players would be able to play like this, like have some chaotic presence during the game, I would say these four.

I mean it is a wonder how Kawhi played so many games so far, I would have expected him to sit out the season already, isn't that what he does, like play 5 games a year, and then sit out the year, hope that the team goes to playoffs and he comes back during the playoffs, that's all he is good for. In the end, I am not expecting much from Clippers, not because they do not have the talent, they do have talent, but each player does something seriously wrong, on or off the court, and that could be the reason they may do badly.

It isn’t just on Harden in the sense that he alone on the court isn’t responsible for the losses. However, they had to trade away quite a bit to get him. You can’t just gut your team to add one guy and then expect to hit the ground running. Plus, Harden is old. They had to know him and Westbrook aren’t All Star caliber players anymore. The real loser to all this is Kawhi, who is no longer the highest winning percentage player in NBA history. That severely damages his legacy.
1683  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Do you eat tacos on Taco Tuesday? on: November 14, 2023, 08:33:39 AM
I miss them as with diabetes I can't eat wheat products.

It should not be a problem though, as far as I know the authentic tacos made in Mexican Cuisine are made of corn dough. So, even though you would not been able to buy and eat the highly processed versions which are common in the European and North American market, you can still give a try to 100% corn taco crusts, instead those which are made with processed wheat flour.
It may take you some search, but you even try to prepare tacos with won't even have any negative impact on your heath.  Smiley
I have been told that authentic tacos like those found in Mexico are better than those you can find in American franchises anyways.

I’ll admit I was a bit confused by this as well because I didn’t think wheat and tacos had anything to do with each other, but I’m no nutritionist. I’m a fan of hard tacos which I believe are as you said mostly corn. As we make our way to another Tuesday I can’t help but feel a hunger growing inside me. Perhaps later today I’ll post a taco picture if I don’t devour them before I remember to do so.
1684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 14, 2023, 08:30:36 AM
buddy did three in a row make it for you?

maybe you do 4 in the still of the night.

Sideways 36-38k is the new slot.

maybe we leave it in a few days.

Looking at patterns from previous cycles I could understand why traders would be expecting a correction here. Typically there is one more dip before the main launch around the halving time. I personally wouldn’t bet on it though, as I’m a believer that the FTX fraud artificially depressed prices more than any time in previous Bitcoin history.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 14, 2023, 08:26:07 AM
We’ve got a couple nationally televised games on tonight to keep things exciting. Not so hyped about the first one with the Spurs and Thunder, but the second game between the Clippers and the Nuggets might be fun to watch. The nuggets obviously should easily win, but the odds aren’t too great. Still, watching Denver slap LA around should lead to some interesting commentary from Chuck and the guys on TNT.
1686  Economy / Reputation / WARNING: Telegram Impersonation Attempt on: November 14, 2023, 08:22:00 AM
Please be careful. It has been a few years since I’ve been informed that someone is trying to use my name to scam on telegram but it appears they are back. I do not do business of any kind outside this site using the name OgNasty so if you ever see someone on Telegram or anywhere else using that name, know they are a scammer. Be careful.

1687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 14, 2023, 08:18:58 AM
There is no such thing as luck, in the sense that it isn’t something someone can have or that can be repeated. Luck is merely the expression of someone beating the odds. Most commonly it is a word used by losers to justify why others have succeeded where they have failed. Don’t get pulled into such nonsense. Just do you.

That DeMar DeRozan pass tonight was absolutely wild. Probably the best assist I’ve ever seen. Google for it if you haven’t seen it. Wild…

1690  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar & extortionist. Get him out of DT! on: November 14, 2023, 12:53:31 AM
Vod is still mad? LOL. Imagine bumping this thread after two years of inactivity…

I actually have been meaning to remove my negative trust rating for him because I just plain don’t care about him anymore at all. I removed all my other negative ratings for the same reason. People can tell whatever lies they want about me. Look at LoyceV for example, still claiming I got away with something as if I wasn’t gifted everything I got from theymos. Irrelevant people aren’t worth your time. Just ignore them and their misinformation. Know Vod is a pathetic extortionist wannabe and people like LoyceV that try to give them a platform are even more weak and pathetic.

Have your fun on this thread. I couldn’t care less.

Only reason I clicked this section of the forum was because I was told that I’m again being impersonated on Telegram, but that makes total sense now that Vod is back…

Feels like the market is running out of steam and taking a breath. Will be interesting to see which direction the market points to when people get back to work in a few hours.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 13, 2023, 09:04:20 AM
What are your thoughts on the Warriors' struggles? It's their second consecutive loss at home, and despite the scoreboard showing only a 6-point loss, there seems to be a lot happening behind those numbers. Clearly, the Warriors are facing huge challenges, and Curry is struggling to find support from his splash brother. I don't know, I think they need to start finding some consistent player and replace Klay on the line up, seems like he wasn't the same anymore after he suffered an injury.

They’re getting old. Klay won’t ever be the same after his injuries and Draymond can’t shoot the ball to save his life. They better get Giannis next season or the rest of Steph’s playing days will be wasted.

What I didn’t expect is that the Rockets are playing the best ball in the league right now.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 12, 2023, 08:19:50 PM
Gamblers make money for casinos and traders make money for exchanges. In the end, it is the investors that win. Everyone thinks they can beat the odds but the truth is that if you’re trying to build wealth you don’t bet it or trade it, you add to it. That involves patience and stacking investments that appreciate.
1694  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: November 12, 2023, 10:56:12 AM
Looks like Tesla is taking steps to stop price gouging by resellers. I love to see it. Hopefully this cuts down on preorders from people who just wanted to make a quick buck. The link is below to read the full agreement but the summary is that you cannot resell your Cybertruck within the first year of owning it and if you do you may be charged a $50,000 fine and never get to buy another Tesla product.

1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 12, 2023, 07:56:10 AM
Okay, so for tomorrow's games, I'm eyeing two expected entertaining matchups.

1- Bucks vs. Magic: The Bucks might still be without Lillard, facing the home team Magic who are currently on a 2-game losing streak. The Bucks recently lost to the Pacers; will they bounce back with a win here? I'm leaning towards the Magic, but with points handicap +3.5.

2- Warriors vs. Cleveland: Curry and his teammates fell to Mitchell and company on November 3rd. Will they bounce back strong as they play at home? Well, I guess it's a no-brainer; taking the -3.5 Warriors is the easy call here.

I'll be tailing you on the Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers pick!

Unfortunately, the Warriors lost here and so the majority of us. I also thought that the Warriors being a strong team playing at home could win this game as I even put them at -4.5. And hearing that Draymond will be back, yeah, it was a no brainer bet for us.

But Draymond was ejected in the game and then the Cavs started hot in the final quarter. They took advantage of Steph sitting in the first minute of the 4th quarter. The Cavs have a solid 6 players at least scoring in double digits.

Ya, that was unexpected. The Cavs are a pretty big team though and the Warriors are pretty small. Once Draymond got baited into his second technical foul and ejected the Warriors were in big trouble. This is why I thought it was a mistake for them to let Wiseman go last year. They need a young big body who can fill in when Draymond does something dumb.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 12, 2023, 04:00:37 AM
Trump showing up to the UFC fight is awesome. What other President would do that. He comes off as such a man for the people, I don’t understand why anyone would even consider voting for anyone else. He’s the first President that I think I’d actually enjoy hanging out with. Gotta love the reception he gets from real people at these events too. Highlight of the event for me.
1697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 12, 2023, 03:56:40 AM
Some bad news for the Sixers… Kelly Oubre Jr. was hit by a car near his house in Philadelphia on Saturday night. I can’t remember an NBA player getting hit by a car before… The circumstances haven’t been told yet to my knowledge, but let us hope it was just a freak accident and not something much more sinister. I hope he gets well quickly.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 11, 2023, 07:25:18 PM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.

Gambling companies are typically middlemen for larger operations, not to mention they have other owners and the company is its own beast. I don’t see any ethics issues here. You assume that Steve Jobs used an iPhone right? You think Bill Gates uses Windows on his computer? I’d be more concerned if an owner was using a different platform.
1699  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2023, 07:21:45 PM
Saylor has said he believes Bitcoin will x10 over the next 12 months. This shouldn’t surprise anyone given how much BTC he owns personally and with his company. However, as bullish as I am, I think we are more likely to see a x4 over the next 18 months, which isn’t as bullish as Saylor but is still pretty damn bullish in my opinion.
1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to roll-back Ordinals? on: November 11, 2023, 11:21:12 AM
Please let's all agree that it's time to end ordinals.
Edit: PLEASE READ I need to clarify this. By roll-back ordinals I didn't mean to actually roll back the bitcoin blockchain. Just to prevent the ability for them to be created from now on.

Nah. That's how bitcoin works. Is ordinals a bunch of worthless spam transactions that are bloating the mempool? Yes, of course but that is a VERY important part of scaling bitcoin. When on-chain fees bloat, that provides the much needed incentive to invest and build alternative scaling infrastructure. High on-chain fees drives more development to other scaling methods like lightning. That's just how the game theory of on-chain payments works.

For example: When fees pump high like this, platforms now have a much greater incentive to integrate lightning or batch transactions or invest in new scaling tech that is not yet fully developed. I believe that Binance integrated lightning last time on-chain fees bloated like this.

Ordinals doesn't need to be stopped. We just need to wait for fees to clear and use alternative payment methods (primarily lightning) until things cool down. Another important thing to understand is that the game theory of the lightning network works differently than on chain. To send a payment on chain, we all have to bid against other senders to be included in a block but on lightning, the routing nodes have to compete against each other with connectivity and lower fees than other routing nodes. Lightning nodes literally compete to offer lower fees than other routing nodes so fees trend toward zero while on-chain fees trend upward as demand increases. You can learn more about the game theory of the on-chain fees vs. lightning fees here: https://www.whatisbitcoin.com/lightning-network/game-theory-lightning-network

Bitcoin is working exactly as it's supposed to. It's an open network that is being attacked by ordinals spammers but since bitcoin is anti-fragile, it just keeps on working and bitcoin miners are making a lot of money right now while the network is being attacked. Just because using the blockchain is expensive right now, doesn't mean that it needs to be "fixed".

I disagree that lightning is the answer, but your take that Bitcoin is working the way it should is absolutely correct. Paying for block space is not an issue. The fact that so many people are bidding for block space that it is causing a clog shows that people see value in it. This is a good thing. I would be more worried if blocks started getting mined empty.
