1721  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping Rules (as Applicable to Newbies) on: November 28, 2021, 06:28:37 PM
3. When a newbie creates a new topic asking a question like "What is a merit and how will I get merits". Immediately, users will jump in with answers like this "Why not move this question to Beginners and Help", "I will advice you to use search option because these kinds of questions have been asked million times" Maybe some kind users will provide a link for the newbie to read.
In the first place, newbies should spend more time reading. They are still new in this forum and they do not know how stuffs work here.

4. Now if a newbie uses the forum search and searched for anything, it will take them to a random thread in the forum. After reading they will feel like to comment. After commenting it turns up to be an old thread. Users will still question the newbie why not create a new thread instead of bumping an old thread.
That is on them. The date of when the thread was created is indicated for a reason, and they should know that they are about to reply to an old thread.  If I can recall correctly, there is warning before you reply to an old thread.
Mostly I report those post especially in B&H.

8. If unintentional bumping of old threads is prohibited, it therefore means that the legacies of our past heros are in danger. Their ideas, contributions and help might be buried forever.
Nope. This one made me recall of the "Hall of Fame" thread made by tranthidung. For their specific contribution/s through replies, I usually bookmark them sometimes, and I don't think I am the only one doing that.

I'm a webmaster who started online with forums like phpbb and invisionfree, along with IPB and vBulliten, I eventually moved on to WordPress and whatnot but I've made my return to a message board after about 15 years, glad to be part of a community again. Can anyone let me know where we can make some bitcoins around here or sell off stuff for some bitcoins? Let me know, I want to join the waves.
Welcome to Bitcointalk, OP!
Quite a timing that I was reading about WordPress Development just couple of minutes ago. WordPress is quite popular in job posting when I recently checked my Job Feed in Upwork. I know this forum is different from Upwork (obviously), but since you asked where can you make some BTC, read as what BlackHatCoiner mentioned below you.
LaborX is also an option, though they pay in variety of cryptos and you asked about how to earn BTC in here.
Even having expertise in WordPress can be great money actually. WordPress is one of the most used CMSs, hence we can easily assume that it has a high number of potential customers. Even creating themes itself is good money if you know what you're doing.
It is still rocking like crazy in the freelance market. Not just creating a blog site or forum, but also creating plugins.
1723  Other / Meta / Re: how improve rank?? on: November 28, 2021, 09:24:43 AM
Have you even bothered reading my reply yesterday, OP? I know it was a locked thread already, but I kinda hoped you still read my advice to you and changed your ways, instead of creating this thread.

If you can't even do that, let alone reading someone else's reply, there is pretty much no hope for your improvement. I checked your post history once again as of writing this, and you just continued to pursuing bounties.

I haven't looked at your posts, but just from what you wrote here my guess is that you're just an average rank-seeking, bounty-hunting shitposter who's just here to earn money.  Am I way off base there or what?
No need to look into it, as it was exactly as you described. I barely saw any non-bounty related posts.
1724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you spoken to Satoshi ? on: November 27, 2021, 05:23:11 PM

Meh. Surely this forum is the only way that people had "direct contact" with satoshi though I can recall some thread I read couple months back that there was an AMA of founder of this forum and s/he has direct contact with satoshi through email.
I would just leave it as that, since either way there is no point of it anyway.
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you consider living on crypto? on: November 27, 2021, 05:17:16 PM

The conversion rate matter if you're just really into Bitcoin that you won't care that how much its value to USD or whatever currency we're talking about in here. For now, sure we can worry about that. For sure that your company won't cover the fee for you and that is entirely up to whatever wallet you're using which is likely to be a custodial ones.
1726  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies/Newcomers Knowledge is better than merits. on: November 27, 2021, 06:17:19 AM
thank you sir for this information. sir i work hard but i cant get success. my main problem is low rank.give me more information how improve my rank.
You won't improve if you keep chasing bounties, buddy. I barely saw any non-bounty posts in your post history.
No one's going to give you a merit for a bounty post.
Check this post about merits: Merit & new rank requirements

If you're having difficulty writing in English, stick to your local board first.

sir kindly check my post number but activity number is half of post number. sir kindly solve my problem 🙏🙏

Read:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Rough summary of what this means: If you post once per day on average, then you will eventually get the maximum number of activity points that you can get. Posting more than once per day on average is useless for increasing activity. The maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks. Therefore, it will take about 100 days to get 100 activity if you post once per day on average.

Assuming you're not planning on running away with people's money with your currently launched project, those amount could be coming from their own and not from other investors.
Like what TheUltraElite mentioned, it could also come from hypes which is a really really common method especially you mentioned meme coins.
Meme in the internet just seems to evolve and I am not even surprised if coins like "Hide the Pain Harold" had its own coin, but do not have permission from the person in the meme.

Correct way? Use every means social media to get a reach of other people. You just need to get lucky that people will get interested in your project. It is not a rocket science, but luck comes into factor.
1728  Other / Archival / Re: Newbies, don't be naive on: November 27, 2021, 05:57:52 AM
Beginners, remember, no one will ever share with you real methods of earning.
Oh man, I recall so many bots in the internet especially in social media spamming their copy-pasted comment/post that wants you to DM them or contact them mostly through WhatsApp and when you do, they will claim that they can "2x" your money and you just need to send them your money, and they'll contact you back.
"2x"? Yeah, right. Roll Eyes

I recommend beginners also to watch some scambaiters, but don't imitate them as it is quite risky, so that you'll see what could possibly happen when you contact those people. There are plenty of them in Youtube. Smiley

Could be a possible breakthrough of someone out there in creating such transactions with the use of only mobile number. Here in my country, there is a payment system that only requires SMS number to send money, but still that requires an internet for moving around the mobile app, so technically it still requires internet, but it should be close for a possible transaction within only the network service provider.
How convenient would that be if it became a reality, lol?

Better put that capital on higher ranking coins rather than shit tokens that wouldn't even survive over the night. You could do NFTs on whatever the popular is right now. I won't shill any NFT games that you can throw your capital at, as I don't want you to blame me in the end that it you incurred losses, but there is a popular game that people seemed to play and earn a lot.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins survive 5 years? on: November 25, 2021, 06:54:24 PM

5 years is a really really long time to measure accuracy of whether these coins would survive. ETH has been here since 2015 anyway, surely people already asked the same as you in that year if it will be "actively" traded by 2020 and now they got their answer.
I cannot say the same for the rest of what you mentioned in your portfolio. As what harizen said, just keep monitoring your portfolio.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors prefer coin memes, new trends or seasonal henya? on: November 25, 2021, 05:04:49 PM

Quite nostalgic.... in a bad way. I still recall plenty of discussion about that back in 2017, before one by one they all disappeared. ICOs somehow managed to be historical, well mostly I recall a lot of scams.
And yes, even with strong community, if one of the biggest holders just decided to dump it off or the devs just went full retard mode to run away with your money, it is all over.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations for crypto currencies on: November 24, 2021, 08:43:18 PM
In my opinion, if regulations are applied to cryptocurrencies, the impact will be extraordinary, bro, where crypto currency users will be slightly safe from scammers, and again I think the government will not hesitate in determining taxes on crypto users, bro.
"Bro", even with the government regulation, scammers are still there. Even outside crypto, scammers are still robbing people's money without their knowledge and they were not caught ever.
Of course taxes will be there, since most likely people would rake some income from it and IRS wouldn't just sit around and let that happen.
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Musk the boss behind SHIB? on: November 24, 2021, 08:41:34 PM

I mean what else can you believe in the internet. I can claim that I am holding the whole supply of Bitcoin or even half of it. It is the internet. Anyone can claim what they can do with just few words away and one click away from posting.
It's been a while since we got another "Musk" discussion here.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will fundamental projects survive a bear market? on: November 24, 2021, 03:10:00 PM
~
do you think their technological potential will be able to survive the next trend? How strongly people value technology over speculation in 2021.
Don't overcomplicate it, OP.
As long as whatever the project you are thinking of is still needed these days, it will still survive on whatever trend arrives. I won't bother looking on what coins or "ecosystems" are those you mentioned, but just take my point.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you research projects for investment? on: November 24, 2021, 01:23:28 PM
Stop spamming and shilling your CheckDot project in here with your alts.
It is funny that these people won't stop shilling their garbage project, like getting desperate to get the attention of the many of the ShitDot project.
1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest during bull market? on: November 23, 2021, 08:37:44 PM
What strategy I follow? I blacklist those project shilled by someone who indirectly does the shilling. Does it ring a bell, OP? Yeah, you're doing it.

You're not going to get us with your CheckDot shilling even if your alts shill those all at the same time. It is not going to work. That would just say that the project has a really bad bad bad marketing strategy and it is not getting investor.

Don't bother replying to the OP, anyone.
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoin market has become scammer's playground on: November 23, 2021, 08:30:01 PM
Not surprised about it, just how about anyone could just create their own coins and decide whatever they want after they got the attention of many.

Lately even here in Alt Discussion board, there are many shillers of that whatever Check project that is and it is really getting annoying, but if they shill that really bad, it just says on how bad or garbage the project is. I am not even bothering searching for that if that is a coin, an exchange or any sort of platform and I don't give any single crap about it. Cheesy
1739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's more important: good marketing or technology? on: November 23, 2021, 01:33:33 PM
Another CheckDot shilling, lads. I have seen plenty of these threads when you thought that it would be a nice discussion.

@OP
Please be more direct of what you're wanting to discuss. You're not going to gain the interest of the many in here by indirectly shilling that project.

I'm not sure but, most of your post are connected to CheckDot thing, and all are being mentioned in a new thread. Different approach on how you post them, but all are going towards that project. So I assume, is this some sort of your marketing strategy of selling something?  Cheesy
How ironic that the thread is all about "good marketing". I see a lot of lower ranking members shilling this project a lot.
It is a really bad marketing strategy if they thought that they could get audience or even an investor.
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFTs overhyped? on: November 23, 2021, 01:26:59 PM

Not even a lot of people really care about what NFTs are in the end. It is all about the financial benefit that they get from it. People here in my country were all chasing for NFTs right now, scholarships to be specific.
From what you said, what many saw is only that it is "digital collectibles" like in-game currency which has been around for years around the world.
