1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 11, 2022, 08:20:38 PM
The only news I'm waiting is that Lebron James will request a trade and seriously I won't be shocked if that happens because this situation he's in is the least thing he should want, at his age, I know he still wanted to win another championship before he depart the league and he won't get that in his current situation. What I'm thinking is he might go back to Miami where Butler is.
No, I don't think so. He will stay as a Laker and will end it as a Laker.
It's not him who is the problem, it's the choices made by the Lakers management in picking players to surround him.
He had one good team before composed of veteran and young players. That's what he needs because Lebron is not the same as the Cavaliers Lebron anymore, he is more of a playmaker and he is good at it.
But he needs players who will fill the hole of what he lacks. Speed, defense, shooting capability (the sharpshooter type), and someone who will handle the same way he does when he needs a break.

Yeah, I don't think that he will request a trade, James throughout his basketball career, hasn't requested one. And I agree why Lakers are not picking players that can surround James that can contribute. At least they could have keep majority of them when they won the ring in 2019 and try to make another run because that team is deep, specially their role players and then know how to contribute. But when they trade everyone just to get Westbrook, that's where everything falls out. And this season they have a chance to rebuilt, but still the players they added are not up to the challenge.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 11, 2022, 11:29:14 AM
Very hard decision to make though, but if you look at the amount of your capital, that is a huge win already if you cash out early.

But for some, they might want to see the actual results of the game and see if you can make the odds that you bet.

At least though, if you cash out, you can take the money already, that's already a big win, and perhaps don't look at the result of the last match in your bet. So that you won't regret anything in the end.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 11, 2022, 10:57:36 AM
Errol Spence is an incredibly dangerous opponent in a boxing match.

He is left-handed, left-handed is always a very uncomfortable opponent.  Errol has amazing striking technique.  In the first rounds, he skillfully exhausts the enemy, and then delivers a decisive blow.

He is an active social media user and I follow him on Instagram.  I consider him an outstanding boxer.

I think he will win this fight.
I also think the same that Spence will weaken Thurman quickly and take Thurman down in the second half of the fight, and that too if he doesn't catch Thurman early.
Thurman is also a very talented and fast boxer but that was before he was defeated by Manny Pacquiao in his last fight and after that he didn't fight anymore, looks like he couldn't beat Spence who is stronger and faster than Thurman.
Spence has a way of attacking that keeps opponents on the defensive and doesn't give them much opportunity to attack.

Thurman is known to be very weak in his body, and for sure Spence will go at his body at the beginning of the round, he will not be head hunting in the first half. And when Thurman is soften up, perhaps that will be the time he will go on the head to confused Thurman and maybe score a late stoppage.

Keith is inactive, and he chooses to be a boxing analyst and I think he will not be 100% in this fight. Yes, he won against Barrios, I don't consider though that win a good one in his resume. It's simply a cherry pick fight for him and it that fight, he was caught several times by Barrios and the good thing is that Barrios doesn't have power in 147 lbs.
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance walks out of FTX bailout...Another Twitter scenario?? on: November 10, 2022, 09:50:52 PM
To me, this seems like some kind of manipulation.
And just when the market is recovering CZ and FTX issue came up.
No wonder we're always adviced not to save our funds in Central system.

I'm not sure about the manipulation, can we say that as well in the Luna debacle? we are also recovering or at least the price is going up prior to the collapsed. But I do agree that it is one advised that we should followed, not to leave in some centralized exchanges as changes are, when they go exit like this one, your money is gone.

But back to the subject, I also don't see any comparison on Twitter. It was very different, here CZ is trying to help FTX, but maybe he thinks that he can't no longer help as the situation is out of hand and that maybe it could affect him later, (regulations on FTX coming later.)
1825  Economy / Speculation / Re: what caused the bitcoin price to drop today? on: November 10, 2022, 09:27:55 PM
And so as the CPI report comes in, it's not that bad as expected. So the whole crypto market is up today more than 10% from some top tier coins.

At least though in the last 3 days, it was really bad for us, bitcoin nose diving to a lowest low at $15,500, but now recovery on it's way, around $18k. So that's how the market works, there will be times that the market will drop very hard, but there will always be bounce back due to some positive news. So I guess the next question is when we are going to see $20k again because this is our support line for the last couple of weeks.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copying Bet From Other Unknown Bettors, Is This a Good Practice? on: November 10, 2022, 08:52:35 PM
It is not a bad practice if you know what you are doing. Sometimes you will have a double decision about a particular bet and will be confused on what to do. At that moment, seeing other people's bet will be a good help for you. It does not mean that you will copy everything, atleast it will give you some clue on what to include in your own bet.

Just like copy trading, it helps when you that is the bettor has good knowledge of the bet you want to include. You don't do it blindly.

But isn't it that you don't know what you want to bet that's why you are going to copy it from someone? so generally it's a bad practice already. If you don't know then just simply stop and never bet. And how can you have some fun and entertain yourself if you are going to copy someone's else bet?

The only reason why someone will do this, is perhaps out of curiosity, maybe you just wanted to try it and if you win then good for you. But you shouldn't do it that often and rely to other bet slip.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 10, 2022, 08:28:22 PM
They're doing a good job and their standing is 10-3. They're up against the Wizards on Sunday while against the 76ers on Monday. So, starting today, they'll be having a good rest for the weekend until Sunday and be prepared for two straight games. Kessler did a good job for his entire playing time. These big men of Utah Jazz really are doing well whenever they're being used. This how it should be for the other teams that has big men.

I'm really giving them my support because even though they almost left with nothing, it didn't change the way they care for each other this how strong their chemistry is. And with their newly added teammates who also can play well, they are hard to beat and continue to hold the number one spot in the western conference. Since they are capable of doing such things without Gobert and Mitchell, I hope their NBA playoffs this season have also more positive results than the last 2 years.

I am really liking what the Utah Jazz is currently doing. No pressure from the coach and its players. They are a rebuilding team and are expected to lose a lot so there is nothing to lose to them anymore. The coach can easily transition his players according to his play since there are no demanding superstars to please and follow. The players at the same time can just play and enjoy their games while following a chemistry-first approach or their coach can just easily bench them.

Hopefully, they can continue this kind of momentum the whole season. It is really difficult to beat a team not depending on a single or just a few players.

Actually if you look at Mitchell as well, he is playing good basketball with the Cavs. And you just have to scratch your head as you why the previous roster choke in playoffs. So it seems that they have move already, and Jordan Clarkson leading the new Jazz team.

Yes, there are no pressures and the new coach is really doing good and maybe the organization has been relieved as well because of high expectations. I do agree that they could be playoff bound again for the first time and hopefully they can at least go to the second round and beyond.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will FTX became the second Luna? on: November 09, 2022, 08:36:14 PM
Well last week was Gala, and today FTT.. What's next? #Bitcoin is the best

If you are talking about a potential crash that can affect the market, yes, in the last 24 hours, the whole crypto is in red already, there are bloods in the street caused by the FTX and even if Binance tried to salvage it, seems to be the damage has been done already. And there are a lot of FUD coming out as well, to highlight what and why it happened.

But I agree that bitcoin is the best crypto asset or even if we talk about the traditional financial market.

And with that said, then this is the right time to invest again, the price is around $16,800, best buying opportunity.
1829  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto dump is just getting started? on: November 09, 2022, 08:15:58 PM
Galaxy Digital also have over 70 million dollars tied to FTX Exchange, they are now withdrawing 47m $ and already at a loss of 68m $, I think we will keep seeing some more dips.

Is this all planned work or just the brutal of a bear market because it seems that in every bear market worst things like this always happens.

No, it just so happened that we are again in this kind of situation, companies are losing money because such project failed. So the only thing they can do is withdraw their money causing panic. But I don't think it's plan, again, that is normal business practice, it's that it was really evident in this FTX saga.

Now I have no choice but to believe that 10,000$ BTC is possible.

Yeah, anything is possible, the price can go as low as $10k, and it's up to you whether to take advantage and buy cheap bitcoin and accumulate and wait for the next bull run ride. There's nothing wrong if the place plummeted to $10k.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling today and lesson i learnt on: November 09, 2022, 02:41:18 PM
If you truly understand gambling then you will discover that it a game of both winning and loosing and on countless time fo people make the common advise not to gamble with any amount of money you can't afford to loose, eo i believe you gambling with such amount means you make more better income from other things that will make you feel nothing even when you loose and quiting gambling isn't the solution, don't you benefits any other things from gambling than when you make a win?.

He said that he can make the money that he lost in about a week, so yes, he seems to be making good amount of money that he can gamble and afford to lose. But still though, that is big money for some of us. Nevertheless, we can't judge the OP here, he is willing to go and bet big so that he will have a huge winning as well. And as we can see, he had some. But when you least experience, who will suffer a huge lose that they wanted to quit. However, after a day or two, and if you have money again, perhaps he will think of going back and try to recover everything what he had lost today.
1831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 09, 2022, 01:19:06 PM
^^ What do you think of Musetti's chances against Stricker? Not familiar with Stricker though. The current odds is for Musetti at -3.5 at 1.90. But Stricker at +3.5 seems to be the at 1.80. So really hard to bet on this one.

I might go with Nakashima against Lehecka here, -2.5 will be a great odd at 1.80 for me.

Best of luck everyone.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 09, 2022, 12:47:09 PM

NBA need modern big mans which can shoot on 3s and Howard is outdated that's why he didn't get any interest from any teams. But its still a good choice playing overseas since maybe if he can dominate there and can able to show his worth especially his inside presence maybe there are teams would spare him a contract. But let see what will happen to his career if he can show good numbers or he will totally go resign since at the end of the day he don't need to prove anything since he's a champion and already a hall of famer.

Just like Jokic, he is a good example of a real center now, because he is an all-around player. Howard is popular of a hack a Howard, just like Shaq, because they have a very low percentage in the Free Throw line. honestly, what I see is that Howard is only effective in getting into the head of a center he is guarding, just like Jokic, he is effective in destroying his focus in some of the games, particularly in the playoffs when the Lakers won a championship.

Yes, but that comes with experience and that's why Howard is good at that right now, he has been in the league and with good teams to play mind games.

But his FT and him not have a shooting outside could be the biggest factor why team are not interested in his services. He could really be outdated with today's center. But who knows, maybe there are teams looking to get some decide center just a good 5-10 minutes on the floor to get their Center a rest. And Dwight could be perfect like in Portland or even the Bulls. And that experience might come in handy in the playoffs.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 07, 2022, 12:02:27 AM
Another upcoming loss for the Lakers. 3:33 minutes remaining and the score is 109-95. Too much wasted outside shooting from the Lakers while they were given good shots by the Cavs.
These last minutes, no more Lebron, Davis, and Westbrook, they're just giving play time to their bench players. Well, another accepted loss by the Lakers on their home court.

The Big 3 of Lakers perform well but the teamwork of Cavs give the win, a 14 point deficit which is mostly because of shared ball movement.

It's tough for the Lakers to beat a team where everyone is involved, though Mitchel leads the offense
but aside from him, almost all the players who played for Cavs contributes, this team really have
a competitive squad this season.

And even if the Lakers took the lead in the first 24 minutes, the Cavs didn't panic, after all it's just less than 10 points that the Lakers are holding. They continue to do the things they have done in the first half, Mitchell doing the scoring, but the rest of the team are also contributing at both end of the floor.

While the Lakers can't find their rhythm although they have a somewhat good lead, and their big 3 scoring very well. And that has been the story of the Lakers lately, it's their big 3 that takes the brunt of the scoring and no one is stepping up to help them.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 06, 2022, 09:17:18 PM
It could be sweet if Jerald was able to maintain and take home the win, but I guess his experience really shows in the latter round of the fight.

Jerald Paclar dominated the first 3 rounds and even sent Yafai to the floor. But the latter didn't lose his confidence and tried to stand strong until finally find his rhythm and turned the table on that fight. Lack of stamina is what I have noticed on Paclar as he might give it all right away in the early rounds already just to finish the fight early.

Although his strategy is effective, he just lacks the gas to keep being dominated the whole round.

The worst one, he didn't even win in one of the judges even with early dominance.

Yes, he gasses out after 3 rounds, if he just had enough stamina, I think he can pull it off with that upset.

Yafai on the other hand, seems to wake up after that knock down, and then make a huge comeback, probably it was just ring rust that affected him early in the fight. But once he got his confidence and the rhythm, just a matter of time. Just another lessons learned for Paclar, nut not sure if he will still be given this chance to fight again at this level. He was in the undercard of one of the biggest fight in Light HW.
1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 06, 2022, 02:12:34 PM
^^ Yes, it's going to be sad not to see a unification fight between the 2 Russians.

Speed kills and that is what we have seen again on Bivol, even at a heavier light heavyweight division, his hand speed is really extraordinary. And he has a good chin as well, I think it's round 1 or 2 wherein he has hit by Ramirez and his head snap, but he just eat it and then move forward in the next couple of rounds.

Maybe we will see a rematch after this one. Although Bivol said he doesn't want to even if there is a big money, nevertheless it could only be his option right now.
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WOW, WHY AM I SO HAPPY 😍 on: November 05, 2022, 09:12:22 PM
The bull run is here.

I wouldn't call this is a bull run mate, although the price has been going up, it's not a definition of bull run.

ALTCOINS are going to blow up soon.. Happy to see some of my alts I bought on FAMEEX are just pumping. Matic and optimism just making me smile this morning

Yes, we would like for altcoins to grow, like the coins that you mentioned, or in the top 10. But then again, as majority here says, you don't get to be very excited. We still have a long way to go before we can see a true bull run. And that will only happen after the bitcoin halving in 2024 as we all know that this activity is the final catalyst for the bull run that you are talking about.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 05, 2022, 12:28:14 PM
Nike is into business, they will always make sure that their promoter will be a good model, as of now, Irving does not fit to be a good model so canceling his contract by Nike is just good for him. He has an attitude problem, he is a superstar but unfortunately not a good role model.
He had been doing these things for a lot of times, I don't why it is just now that Nike did this. It should've been before.
Disrespecting your coach (Steve Nash) at that time was not a work of a good role model too. It becomes a plague, not just in NBA but also on leagues with young people playing basketball. NCAA, or small leagues. Those innocents that thinks what he did is the right thing if you don't like your coach, you can talk bad to them and even make them go away.
And so, it happened.
Good for Irving, well deserved, now, I believe he is already realizing that because of his bad action, he already lost a huge amount of money.  I don't understand him, we cannot deny that he is really a great basketball player but he will never be a hall Famer if he does things that are disrespectful because everyone deserves respect.

I don't think that money will be the problem for Irving, yes he could have lost a big chunk of money here if Nike will suspend him or their relationship. But probably the most important thing is his reputation inside and outside of the court. Yes, he has some disrespectful moments in his NBA career, but this one is very different as he is talking about a certain race that has suffered a lot throughout history. So not sure if he can be called a HOF, even his fellow ex-NBA players like Shaq are taking bad against him for his remarks.
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: November 05, 2022, 12:03:37 PM
So got the time to look for David Avanesyan fight and see how good he is,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xUFVfAW8rI

This is against Josh Kelly, and Josh was really doing good in the first couple of round even caught Davis napping and almost got a knock down. But David is one tough sob, as he keeps coming back for more and when he landed flash, it was over for Josh.

However, I would say that he is just fairly basic and I think Crawford will win this fight very easy as he can break him down per round.
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of Blackjack on: November 05, 2022, 11:20:21 AM
Another good history lessons again mate, yeah, we for many years have been enjoying this game.

And of course there are a lot of good movies about blackjack and the one that I vividly remember is "21", wherein a professor build a team of bright students to go to Vegas nad have a run in blackjack table through card counting.

For sure there are a lot more movies about this game that we have seen.
1840  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: November 04, 2022, 09:14:53 PM
Predictions from many experts believe that the market will bearish again, we must prepare, I will also immediately sell if the price of Bitcoin drops again below $ 20K, a difficult decision but as an investor we must always be realistic so as to avoid greater losses.

Not sure if that is the correct assumption though, we don't sell when the price is going down because you are going to lost money in that strategy and remain clam when the price is going spiral. And if you have money, the best thing to do is buy at the dip and hold, this is just a advise though, take it or leave it.

And so if the price continue to decline in the last 2 months, I wouldn't be affected. Besides we are in a bear market and obviously price is going down and there will be bleeding everywhere you look. It's how you are going to take advantage of this bad situation.
