Woah... after being talked on the forums, this actually went ahead. I'm truly and completely amazed. Not that the prize is undeserved, but who will receive it for starters? If he kept hidden all this time, without spending the coins he supposedly owns, why would he appear for a "simple" Nobel Prize? I don't see any reasons to do so. He probably wouldn't be able to escape people who want to delete him with the Bitcoin he owns and the fiat he would receive as a prize. Not worth it...

I might be interested. Can you please post a pic of the back of the box with a paper with your nickname on it and a close up on the card?
i will do it tomorrow, but please stay tunes since i am busy with my examination.i am not sure if you actually wanna buy, so you must send payment info to the escrow first before i will send a picture, i can provide refund if what you received is not satisfied. because it is sourced from local retailers at wholesale price. If I can get it for 19$, I'm still interested. If you want, I can send half of the price of the card to escrow. You pay the fees, if any. If you want proof of funds, I can also sign an address with the funds available. yes, $19. pay it to escrow, and i send you a picture. no proof of funds needed. it is already night, i will send you a picture at tomorrow around 12p.m. HKT. i am gonna write a letter to you acknowledges that i send that card. Escrow address has been funded with the full amount. I'll be waiting for the pictures and if everything looks good we may proceed.

This seems interesting. Who's the provider? What are the OS's available?

Funds are always sent to a public key in every wallet, which basically translates to a specific Bitcoin address.
Wallets don't have a single public key unless they have only one address.
Only Armory and any blockchain parser can give you your balance, as usual.
If you want to check the public key associated with an address, you can do so on Armory by right clicking an address

I think this will depend on the platform you use. For iOS, the wallet would probably have to support uploading pictures of qr codes for it to work. Android is probably more flexible on this and you can trigger a camera scanner via a web page (or if you can't, you can probably at least hack it together). I don't know if any web wallets allow what you're looking for but your best bet is to create an account on all these wallets (if you haven't already) and try them out.

Just as a matter of interest, how much did they pay per social media sharing that they have done? This sounds like a excellent idea, if it is well funded. I wonder if this has any influence on the increase in the price lately, coming from the Chinese exchanges. It just shows you, even in a country where information is selectively monitored and controlled, some information could still reach the citizens via innovative ideas like this. {Not saying Bitcoin information is fire-walled in China} This would be interesting to know... It's probably just a small tip to get the news going, probably some coins included on their marketing strategies plans. Phez had a bit of the same model, it was a news sharing platform (a bit like reddit) that gave out small tips for the biggest contributors. Unfortunately they appear to be MIA for quite some time.

I remember vaguely what happened back in the days... The guy has already got a question on the subject, which he replied to quite well. He was still bombarded for the response, obviously I've about CoinJar's service before, never bad things as far as I can recall, but I didn't knew Zhou was involved with them, I thought he eventually disappeared after the Bitcoinica incident. Fortunately didn't lost any coins there, so eventually ended up not reading more about it... I think this AMA will end up on a bad route. People will question him about Bitcoinica and not CoinJar. But good thing he accepted to do it, anyways. I'll be on the watch.

Why so much funding? Are there any specific plans for these funds?
Their service looks very convenient, being able to sell coins on several exchanges on one app is nice... Plus they have news on there, kind of like a Bitcoin hub. Will funds be used to enhance these features?
I hope they do come to the west, something like this would be pleasant. Too bad they don't have their app in English.

This seems to be an amazing service. This was much needed. Not many people are opting for this, but there's certainly a market for these services. it seems that the service has some flaws/it's still a bit "beta", but I guess everything will be ironed out in due time, with user feedback. I wouldn't hop on a service like this, at least for now, as there aren't many places where I could spend Bitcoin, and I'd have to convert most of the balance back to euros. Besides this, my issue would be related to the fact that someone would get my paycheck before me This service requires a lot of trust on the entity delivering it...

Good thing that there are indeed people testing this on the testnet. It was a big and valid argument from people who don't want to change blocksize. How will the network react to this? It will also be interesting to see the behaviour of the clients when the fork deploys.
Despite this, the conditions for testing are indeed not ideal, but I guess it will give us a general idea of what's to come.

This is what we need... Make purchases with Bitcoin, make it circulate and have more merchants accepting it. Keep on buying with Bitcoin You hear me bitcoin DEVS, make it happen..... Satoshi already made it happen and devs are making it happen everyday... People just got to pick it up

You'd probably have more luck posting this on the Mining subforum or on the Bitmain thread.

Seems like an interesting personality, regardless of her beauty. It says she's a white house intern on her profile... Pretty odd for a Bitcoin supporter to work at the white house.

Hopped up on the incentives program... Wondering if my node will get on the list It would be a good sign, not only for the small tip, but it would also mean that my node is pretty well connected.

Solar mining is a good thing... If you've already had your investment in solar equipment back. ROI on mining equipment is hard enough these days, let alone installing solar power + ASIC's and trying to ROI for both
|
|
|
The requirements for mining are always rising and will rise as long as the difficulty keeps climbing... So yeah, if you want to stay competitive you must have ASIC's and quite a few of them. A Chinese mining farm would help, but you can profit with much less if you have cheap electricity

This is what ultimately will drive the price... Big players investing strong on infrastructure and services using the blockchain. Good news voerall

Selling product keys isn't strictly against the rules of the forums, but it might be against the terms of usage of your key.
