I think this is true. Guardiola constantly mocks his achievements in the Champions League, some think that this is politeness and a good sense of humor, but in fact it is a clear realization that if we think globally, then Guardiola is a loser in the Champions League. He always had the best teams (perhaps even the best in history) but at the same time he won the Champions League only 3 times. Of course, he wants to get more titles in order to write his name in history more solidly.
Even of Pep Guardiola decides to quit coaching today, he'll still be regarded as one of the best managers in the history of club football because of his great achievements since he started managing the first team of Barcelona after his years as the coach of the La Nadia(Barcelona's youth team)
~

This is debatable. Just like when the driver with the best car wins all the time. It is difficult to understand how important exactly his contribution to the victory is. Guardiola coached the three best teams and he managed to buy players for these teams for more than 2 billion dollars (he is the first in this indicator). This looks extremely dubious from the point of view of “legendary” or seriousness of achievements. In my country they say about people like him that he has money like a fool has candy wrappers. And as you understand, what you can buy for money costs nothing.

1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 20, 2023, 05:53:20 PM
These are just rumors and far from reality. Saudi Arabia is not in Europe and they are plating in Asia. Also, teams like Al Nassr and Al Hilal or other Saudi teams are playing in the AFC Champions League. I think it's not even fair to have a team like Nassr in UEFA just because they spend lots of money on famous players. This way any team can be in UEFA by spending money.

But let's be real, such news is just a fantasy. Keep dreaming.
This is like a total joke, and folks are starting to wonder if you can just "become" a European Club by throwing in enough money.

The Saudi league isn't too bad. It's on the rise with better and better standards. Sure, they're putting resources into getting the best players, and there's quality for sure, but there's no chance Saudi Arabia is getting into UEFA.

Why do you think that some club (not necessarily Al-Nasr) cannot play in the European Champions League using the wild card system? After the pile of crap that FIFA and UEFA did, do you think that they are incapable of coming up with something good? I think Al-Nasr's participation in the European Champions League would obviously be a more interesting and significant event than any Victoria or Red Star. Moreover, due to the change in the format of the Champions League, it would be painless for everyone since the number of places for European clubs would not decrease.

Manchester City wants to achieve what Real Madrid has achieved, but I am sure that Guardiola will repeat on every press conference that it is impossible. But his goal is to win the Champions League a few more times.

I think this is true. 1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: November 20, 2023, 05:28:01 PM
If Mbappé does decide to stay in PSG I’m done. This guy is really looking for money nothing else. That is if he stays in PSG. At this point, I don't think Real Madrid should actually be interested in him, to be honest. Real Madrid really wanted him and Real Madrid also offered 200 million. But he only used the name of Real Madrid to get more money out of PSG. He was never coming to Real Madrid. So now Real Madrid should say that if you want to play in Real Madrid, you as any other player. Now you are not a priority for Real Madrid because now you want to play with Vini Junior and Jude Bellingham. This could be his team, but now it is their team. If he wants to join Real Madrid on a regular wage, he can join. Otherwise, he can keep playing in PSG. Really, that’s what Real Madrid should tell him.

I agree with you and it seems that Real has taken exactly this position - as follows from the leaks, Real is not taking the initiative in negotiations with Mbappe and is waiting for him to make an offer. It's quite funny when a club waits for an offer from a player (and not vice versa), but it is quite logical after what Mbappe did in the previous round of negotiations and given that Mbappe is now in a worse position. Real is doing the smart thing in this game for a lot of money.
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 20, 2023, 05:19:42 PM
For the upcoming games of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid I can say that I'm confident about the first and last one to win. However I'm not confident about Barcelona as much as them in their next game. Because it is an away game against Vallecano. Barcelona lost to them 3 times and got a draw in their last 4 head-to-head games in the La Liga.

Vallecano are holding a psychological advantage in hand because of that. In addition to that Real Madrid couldn't do better than drawing with Vallecano not long ago as well. Combining all of this it seems a little risky to bet on Barcelona here.  Sad

Barcelona have lost Gavi, possibly until the end of the season, and Real have lost Vinnie and Camavinga (presumably before the new year) so this will make further changes to the teams' chances. In general, it seems to me that after a break on international games it is better either not to bet at all or to bet on the underdogs. International games are always played against top clubs.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 20, 2023, 04:46:04 PM
NO

If someone say yes it means they're either not a regular gambler or they're lying, not a regular gambler is someone who gamble mostly when there's an interesting promotion or quit after making money, which is understandable and that's fine.

In general, I agree, but there are many exceptions - for example, someone who once won the jackpot and after that did not increase the size of his bet and the duration of the sessions. He can remain in the black for a very long time. And there are also professional bonus hunters, seekers of guaranteed bets, vulnerabilities, etc. They are also in the black, although this is a “special” type of gambling.

In conclusion, I don't feel that bad while gambling and losing while enjoying. So Yes again I'm in profit.
Dude, do you even understand what you're saying? you're talk like you're in lose, then suddenly say you're in profit lol.

It seems to me that he meant that he was satisfied with a small loss of money for the pleasure he received. A typical situation is when both the buyer and the seller believe that they have made a good deal.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 20, 2023, 04:37:47 PM
That match is going to be the strongest match on this weekend, for two champion to meet each other is actually going to be a tough one because the both team will put in all possible efforts to win the match but however considering there meetings all the times Manchester City has always make more wins than Liverpool.
Liverpool are far ahead of Manchester check it again if am not mistaken Liverpool got 15 wins while Manchester City got 10 wins and draw 12 in there history of meeting. The match will be talk of the weekend, the teams are known for their best performance, this is an opportunity for the both team to secure the top of the table, and also an opportunity for Arsenal to top the table only if they win against Brentford and Manchester City and Liverpool draw, I am much confidence that this match will result to draw, Manchester city are one point ahead of Liverpool, the both team will try there best to win but unfortunately is only that will win.

Do you really believe that games from 10 years ago have any meaning? If this were so, City would never have risen from the bottom. As for the game, City will have some unfair advantage, Klopp has already said this - the game will take place on Saturday afternoon and the away team has significantly less time to get their affairs in order after international games which disrupt all preparation schedules.

Will Haaland miss the game again? If so, I’m not sure about BTTS since the game has no tournament significance.

6 goals in 5 qualifying matches didn't help. Erling Haaland missed out on the european championship in germany with his home country norway. the reason: israel's 1-2 defeat at home vs. romania yesterday (saturday)

You probably meant Norway's home defeat to Spain? Israel is in another group.
Norway still has a chance to qualify for the Euro through the tournament of losers. I don’t know yet who will qualify for this tournament, but judging by the fact that Norway is doing quite well in the Nations League, I think they will take part in it. I think the day after tomorrow, when the group tournament is completely finished, it will become clear who will play the additional tournament.
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 20, 2023, 04:22:14 PM
I don't believe in luck or destiny, so I don't try to steal/peep someone else's. But naturally, if I see that someone is achieving good results, then it makes sense to try to understand why he does it, and if I can’t understand, then just try to copy his actions. This is logical in every sense, but success is not guaranteed since it may be a multifaceted strategy that cannot be fully seen from the outside.

I do believe in other people luck as I see it live when someone hit a max win in the Stake chat,of course they are rare but they are there. As such I have also seen people sharing bet slips of sport bets which are huge wins and that was the thing that clicked my mind that I need to copy any of these guys,of course I don't know who they are as most of them are not showing their names there but who cares as long as I maybe hit some games.Of course so far I have been able to win some tickets which have like 25 games into them and once 8-10 have been won I have used the cash out button,it is still a relevant amount to cash out,I am using this strategy which so far has proven me correctly, yet I need to hit a huge win.

Do you mean multi-bet? Yes, if you have already guessed 8-10 results, then the odds are really already large and the temptation to cash out is great, but if you want to win significantly more (let’s say the remaining 15 outcomes should tenfold what you have already won), then why do you cash out? Lately I've started making daring multi-bets (with a minimum odds of 30) and I'm willing to wait until I win at least one.
1891  Local / Oбcyждeниe Bitcoin / Re: Биткоин и страны со слабой экономикой on: November 20, 2023, 04:13:20 PM

2025  Grin

1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: November 19, 2023, 09:14:00 PM
A characteristics that most gamblers  have in common,  thinking that if luck will show up they will win big time,  and like what you said there's a small percentage that a gambler may win big, that kind of thinking bring hope to a gambler to keep trying and to keep hoping that one day they'll going to leave the casino with a big smile in their face,  not just because they being entertained but because of the winnings that they are cashing out from the casino.

Well, in general, isn't this idea reasonable? There is a real chance that you will get lucky and get the jackpot. Yes, the probability is small, but for many people the very thought of it is pleasant and helps them cope with difficulties in everyday life. Some console themselves with alcohol, others wishful thinking about a big win. I can’t say that this is something strictly negative.

The matches in Group G were completed and Hungary came out as the leader and Serbia as the runner-up. In the last matches, Hungary defeated their rival Montenegro 3-1 and managed to finish as the undefeated leader in the group. I really think it is a successful result for Hungary. I was expecting Serbia to come out as the leader but Hungary prepared very well for this tournament.  Serbia drew 2-2 with Bulgaria in their last match. Serbia had the upper hand for most of the match but could not be effective in front of goal. Bulgaria scored 2 goals in 2 shots while Serbia was not so lucky.

Serbia really frayed the nerves of their fans today, because just 10 minutes before the end of the game they were behind Bulgaria and if Montenegro had won, Serbia would have fallen to third place. But to my surprise, even demotivated Hungary won against Montenegro and finished the tournament undefeated.

~
Scotland vs Norway might be a bit interesting because so far both teams are active in scoring so I think it's a good idea to bet on both teams to score but we can't guess who will win.

Will Haaland miss the game again? If so, I’m not sure about BTTS since the game has no tournament significance.
1896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 19, 2023, 05:17:31 PM
in many scenarios where we are faced with a company with a lot of money or a team with a lot of money, the regulatory bodies are more thoughtful in their decisions that they will take in relation to the accusations that are made against the rich team or rich company, because a decision Hard damage can harm a lot of things and the damage can be irreparable in the short term. Let's look at the case of Manchester City, I don't know to what extent all these accusations are true or not, but let's imagine that all the accusations are true and they decide to punish Manchester City with the maximum penalties, something like being relegated, what would happen to the Premier League? league if manchester city were relegated?

it would be something catastrophic, in a way it would affect the competitiveness of the premier league, the manchester city players who are English and play for the england national team would be affected because they would be playing in the low competitive league (second division league) and the england national team England would also see a reduction in good players and other national teams from other countries would also be harmed by this decision. So I wonder why the bodies responsible for the premier league don't opt for penalties such as payments of money in case of infractions, rather than having penalties of points reduction and relegation which are penalties that when implemented harm the team on a catastrophic level.

I think that some penalties need to be revised, I know and understand that one should not comment on infractions, but we all know that it is difficult to comply with the rules, which is why they do not impose penalties such as cash payments and take the money to improve even further the league and can do other things than suffer penalties that can destroy a team for many years. This doesn't help at all, what would they gain by relegating Manchester City?

No one should be above the law. As someone said, selective application of the law is lawlessness. And your reasoning has a serious flaw: if City had been punished immediately, at least for the first ten violations, then everything would not have worsened to such an extent that if they were punished now it would have catastrophic consequences. At the moment, when Ludogorets/Everton are punished, but City/PSG are left alone, it looks like a mockery of common sense.
1897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: November 19, 2023, 05:06:01 PM
This is not sumo where size and weight always help you, if Fury cannot hit Usik, then there is a chance that by the end of the fight Fury himself will fall from fatigue (haha). The question is how much faster Usik will be and how long he can remain invulnerable. It’s hard for me to guess who will be luckier - Usik or Fury, so I’m taking the basic 50/50. There were many fights where the technician wore down the knockout guy and vice versa where the knockout guy suppressed the technician with his physical power, I don’t know how it will be here. And it’s clear that they’re both techies, but there’s a similar pattern here: superior power versus speed.

Come on! In boxing, size and weight always matter. There's a reason why an agreed weight will have to be strictly implemented. To fail is to pay a costly fine. Worse, the match could be cancelled and you're still asked to pay for certain expenses. Moreover, Fury isn't that big that it's taking a toll on his movement and speed. Fury floats. This is a lethal combination.

In addition to his size and weight, which Fury makes the most of in his fights, there's also that 7-inch difference in reach. We've also seen how Fury stretches that arm to keep his opponents at bay.

I'm not saying Usyk doesn't even have the slightest chance to win. The man is quick for his weight class. But it cannot be possible that he would wear out Fury to the point that he would fall from fatigue. LOL!

Oh, well, I hope you didn’t take my words about fatigue literally? I meant a slightly different kind of fatigue - when you can’t hit your opponent and he regularly hits you. At this weight, even light jabs (that land) are exhausting, and if it goes on for 12 rounds, any boxer can get tired. In general, if you look at what you write, Usik has chances, but they are so illusory that there are almost none, but even bookmakers give him solid chances.

It seems the situation for some teams in the Premier League is not good at all because, after the financial issues Everton had, they lost ten points while there is some other news about Chelsea and Macnshter City.
Everton broke some rules and according to some news, Chelsea and Manchester City broke more rules and there is even a chance for them to get relegated.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/17/premier-league-financial-fair-play-everton-manchester-city-chelsea

Regarding the City, this is not news, but a continuation of a long-term case that the League for some reason cannot investigate, they “lack the authority.” It sounds crazy because they can punish Everton, but for some reason they cannot punish City, who are accused of 115 FFP violations (and, as I understand it, not only that). But due to some procedural issues, the League allegedly cannot punish City  Grin

I think it might be better if you put a poll so that we can vote instead of those colors.

Nevertheless, just like others, I'm into the negative as well. Just last night, went out with my friends and to go casino and I have a budget, I did bring some money, initial it was just up and down. But suddenly I'm on the losing streak and we all lost some money. Me? half of my capital was lost too, 50% of it. So I just went home with another half of the money that I brought in. Others might say that at least I didn't lose everything, but yeah, at least I enjoy with my friends, had a few drinks.

It would be good if the OP (since he created the topic and is interested in this question) counted the number of answers and compiled statistics.
By the way, if we take into account not only the financial side, but also the pleasure that we get from gambling, the number of players who are in the black would be much greater than in the case when we take into account only finances. In my opinion, this is logical, because we don’t complain about cinemas because we spend money on tickets, but for some reason we complain about casinos  Grin

I also read from several other newspapers that the Brazilian winger was injured in the match against Colombia. Based on Romano's report, Real Madrid estimates that Vini Jr will be absent for at least two months, possibly two months and a half based on the recovery process. other reports, another major blow for Madrid after Camavingga's injury which is expected to occur again in January. Apart from that, there are several other players who are injured, such as Tchouameni, and several players who have previously been injured. What is certain is that this condition is unpleasant news for Real Madrid fans.
~

This is because FIFA and UEFA invent nonsense/garbage tournaments (like the Nations League, Conference League) and expand tournament formats in such a way that the number of games is constantly growing. At the same time, the quality of competitions and interest in them decreases, plus, as we see, the players cannot withstand such stress. It seems this month there will be another court hearing regarding the Super League, I hope business represented by the clubs will finally take control into their own hands and we will see a cleansing of garbage in football.
