1901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much initial startup to Start Cryptocurrency Casino? on: December 07, 2022, 10:10:35 PM
Hi guys I wanted to ask some of big family members who have experience in crypto and also in gambling. But my experience is not good in gambling.
If someone wants to start a Gambling casino online with Cryptocurrency than how much money is needed. I think that 100k dollars initial capital would be enough to satrt a better casino. Cause we have to promote and also do other such promotions.
So what are your thoughts?

I think you might be asking the wrong question. Instead of asking how much initial funding is required for Cryptocurrency Casino startups, you should be asking yourself how much funding is required to create a professional online crypto casino.

I think you would need an entire team first. Marketing, Legal, Development, etc.

That alone will set you back at least 100k per year. Then there are various costs like the regulatory fees, code audits and whatnot.

You could buy finished code and create another clone of some popular gambling website. But then you would just be another copycat that nobody is interested in.

Basically you should have at least 150-200k USD if you want to create something new, original and exciting.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Small Scale Businesses should accept Cryptocurrencies as a medium of payment on: December 07, 2022, 07:35:03 PM
I think giving your customers/clients more payment options is definitely something that will help you make a sale, whether its a small scale business or a large scale business, does not really matter. You could also procure more clients by using crypto as a marketing gimmick, just to get people more interested in what you have to sell.

The best option would be if you had an online platform and an online presence with a considerable amount of loyal followers. But even if you hang up a "We accept Bitcoin here" sign on your physical store, you will be getting interested looks, either way.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gates of olympus on: December 07, 2022, 07:13:33 PM
Gates of Olympus, also known as Grandpa Zeus slots or Olympus slots, is a slot game released by Pragmatic Play that is the most popular in my country. Grandpa Zeus slots are one of the most popular games released by Pragmatic Play. This game with the theme of Greek gods and goddesses, especially the god Zeus, has very charming graphics. If you try the Olympus game as the main online game, there are many things you should know.
1. Symbol: The shape of the symbol that will appear in the Olympus slot Amount
2. Symbol: The number of symbols that must appear in one turn of the duck slot to get a win
3. Multiples of Winning: The number of multiples of the bet used that you will win my question here

1 Do you have games like in my country in your country

2, is this game easier than what I imagined?

Well seems a bit strange to answer either of those badly formulated questions but I will try as hard as I can.

1. I am not sure which country you are in, as you have not specified but I can tell you that we definitely have such games everywhere in the internet. As far as actual physical casinos having that game, the likelyhood is very high since its a slot game and slot games are legal and popular with the population, where I live.

2. You never told us how easy or hard you imagined this game, exactly. So answering that question might be a bit difficult. But how hard could it be? Its a slot game, they are usually all functional in the same way more or less.
1904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Crypto would you like to see more in Online Casinos? on: December 07, 2022, 01:07:42 AM
Honestly, if a centralized, custodial online gambling casino wishes to hold Cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin or stable-coins, then I find it completely unnecessary. Decentralized gambling. Thats where we need to be looking when discussing altcoins.

Altcoins are quite volatile. One way or another, the casino is at risk. Should something bad happen to the altcoins, this will reflect poorly on the casino profit. The first and best choice of casino should be one with their own stable coin/token. One that cannot be frozen or taken away. Something you could hold in your own wallet, instead of having to put into a third party wallet which could be taken away from you at any time.  The underlying market value could be consolidated by algorithmic injection/ejection of Bitcoin.

This way, the casino is ultimately not in control of the funds. Legally, this might take some responsibility off the casino owners and remove the paranoia of people who dislike storing their funds on a centralized (gambling) platform.

1905  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2022, 10:36:46 PM
Fell asleep watching this boring Brazil match and had a nightmare BTC crashed to below $7000.

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I had the same dream. Bitcoin price fell to under a few dollars for a few minutes. The dream quickly became a nightmare when I tried to buy the dip but my internet kept failing, my password kept getting rejected and my computer kept lagging. And as I kept trying to press the buy button, Bitcoin shot 70k, 80k, 90k and over 100k. I had no chance of buying.  Cry

Ever wake up, angry at the world?  Angry

yes, it appears to be...a bit scary.

Portugal (sans Ronaldo) looks great..a title contender now.
Still great shot (offside) near the end. He may just be warming up for the semi/final, to score a few decisive goals.

1906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: December 06, 2022, 06:27:21 PM
I have been following the attitude of governments towards bitcoin and hope it will be promoted.

Stopped reading after this part. Are you serious? Of course the government is doing all it can to remain in control of currency. Especially when it comes to surveillance. Bitcoin was created because its not supposed to be part of the governments money scheme. Its something completely in a different system. Its decentralized and public. But also can be anonymous and impossible to trace to a person, if you know your way around erasing your tracks.

So why would anyone want to get rid of their freedom and listen to what the government promotes?  HuhRoll Eyes
1907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Month of Accepting Bitcoin for Payment on: December 06, 2022, 05:36:59 PM
congrats on your Bitcoin furniture selling business! I am sure you will be a big time furniture dealer with multiple stores in the near future!

That being said, I recommend using a wallet like Electrum, if you are accepting Bitcoin. Its just a better and safer wallet than Trust Wallet. Especially if you plan on storing your Bitcoin for long amounts of time (in other words, hodling). The best option would be a hardware wallet, though. Thats the safest wallet.

Since you accept Altcoins, you could even think about adding more payment options, since some of your customers might rather want to pay with SOL, for example.
1908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unwarranted ECB claims about BTCs "last stand" on: December 05, 2022, 08:55:32 PM
Hi crypto fam.

So the ECB is making some strange claims that this is Bitcoin's "last stand before the road to irrelevance," citing that BTC is down 77% from its last all-time high. How can this be true when everything that's been going around since the launch of BTC just goes against that claim?

So, to summarize, the ECB is essentially asserting that Bitcoin's end is drawing near. But it seems like the ECB's assertion is... unjustified if we consider the reasoning they've provided, as well as the present problems with Bitcoin.

AND, if you look at Bitcoin's history, it has also had some bumps in the road (2014 and 2018), but Bitcoin has had massive returns to offset these bearish years.

Do you think this bear cycle will be more severe than previous ones? What are your thoughts about these claims?

I'm just out here wondering on what basis they're making such assumptions.

As always, someone always is trying to "kill Bitcoin". Again.

No matter how many articles like this come out and no matter who is speaking against Bitcoin. They have not been able to succeed and they will never succeed. All they do is fight against the waves of the future.

I have seen articles like this everyday for the last decade. Not a single one could predict that Bitcoin would grow to over 60k.

Time to stop listening to the doomsayers.
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 05, 2022, 06:33:34 PM
Also, if it is not a luck based game, how would a casino integrate it into their online games? They would need to either buy a game built based on an algorithmic way to ensure that nobody can cheat by figuring out the algorithm.
If you never knew, the cock fighting is equally a luck base game, as in most cases is not always the biggest cock who wins a fight, just as in our normal MMA fighting, which requires skills, basic experience and more exposure to other cock for fighting will determine if a cock might either win or lose a fight during the main gambling fight.
And this game can be integrated into a programmable form into online gambling

Luck is a factor in everything, but compared to purely luck-based games, cock fighting is definitely not one of them. It can be compared to MMA fighting, you are right, but the big difference is that MMA fighters voluntarily take part in the event, while roosters are basically forced to participate.

Cock fighting is not a luck based game, rather I will call it a game that cruel people love to play and bet on it.  Sad

If you ask me, I will never be able to even watch this bloody game. How do people get amusement seeing these cock fight games? Also, can people sleep if they have won money on gambling on the blood of cocks.

I agree. It is quite a unnecessarily cruel game and I would not think that any regular western person would wish to play such a game. Our morals are quite different, which is why I believe that cock-fighting games are more popular out of cultural reasons than just some people being cruel for the sake of enjoyment. Although people can be very cruel indeed, so there may be people who enjoy watching animals suffer .

But we are talking about the virtual version of this game in this thread. So cruelty free, 100%. Unless the game develops consciousness.  Shocked
1910  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: December 04, 2022, 08:22:33 PM
Hello Bitcointalk community,

TrustDice team here. As we continually improve our platform, we think it is crucial that we also seek some genuine inputs from Bitcointalk community, so we can better involve you all in this creation process and better cater to your needs. This fits what Blockchain truly stands for!

What extra do you expect from a (somewhat established) crypto casino? A few aspects we can think of include:
- More crypto original games. Minesweeper and plinko, so we've heard, are getting trendy. Any more thoughts and would these interest you?
- More cryptos accepted as payment options. We currently support BTC, ETH, EOS, USDT and USDC. More has been requested - but will it make depositing easier for you? And which cryptos should we add, in your opinion?
- Additional features for our chat room?
And feel free to tell us anything else you really want!

Just in case anyone isn't familiar, we launched in 2018 and have since become one of the longest standing names in this fiercely competitive industry. All of the games we offer—Crash, Dice, 6000+ casino and live casino games, sports betting, and esports betting—are powered by cryptos.

Thank you for reading this post, and thank you all for being part of our journey!

TrustDice Team

Update:
As frequently asked by many on this thread, we do have a bonus exclusively for Bitcointalk forum members. Click here to find out!

I have yet to try out Trustdice but I can think of a few improvements for any serious casino platform. Especially if they are serious about community management and quality control, as I assume that you are.

Maybe you could add some games which are an exact mirror copy of the original games but these will only be "practice" or "tutorial" games. That way newbies would be able to understand how the game works and develop their strategies and skills without worrying about losing real money?

Also, perhaps revise your user experience design? I have found it quite difficult to navigate many casinos during the newbie stages of gambling, because of bad user experience design of the website itself.
1911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 04, 2022, 07:06:57 PM
I don't know why but I have a feeling that this time the Netherlands will come up on top. And it would be about time too! They have a tradition of botching things at the final, vital moments in the past. Lets see if history will finally break the cycle of repeating itself for the dutchies Cheesy

Argentina is a very strong opponent. I am betting on the Netherlands but its a bet that makes me very nervous. Too bad Germany is no longer in the running. I would have otherwise bet Germany getting its butt kicked by Argentina.

Also, OP, your images are all messed up and cannot be seen. You should reupload them to imgur or some other image uploading site which is allowed/processed correctly by Bitcointalk.
1912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: December 04, 2022, 04:16:12 PM
A simple reason is enough to understand why it is good to make ourselves among he strong hands. People continue to buy whenever the market turn negative. At that moment fear too accompanies thinking whether the recovery will happen or not. The simple answer for this, we need to calculate the percentage of people into cryptocurrency last year and this year. With time the users have increased, usage have increased and so will be the demand. This shows the supply demand mechanism push the price harder.
What's crypto?  We are talking about bitcoin in this thread.
Crypto is the hopeless attempt at copycatting the concept of Bitcoin in hopes they will create something even better. After all these years, Bitcoin is still at the top. Personally I am super ok with Bitcoin being at the top. And crypto itself serves as an everlasting, perpetual reminder that nothing can top Bitcoin. Especially in times when centralized exchanges are showing their real faces. And not only their faces but also the faces of the people standing behind them, waiting greedily with open hands for their share of the loot.

But you are right, this is the Bitcoin forum. Lets not talk about bad investments here.

I guess I am turning into a wee bit of a troll about the topic, because in some sense, I give little shits about whether members choose to use and/or to parrot sloppy language and some folks are having difficulties even placing where king daddy is at in relationship to the various other "related" projects in the space.

I am not even claiming to be any kind of a "bitcoin" genius because it seems to me that bitcoin is quite difficult to know or even to have any concrete senses in regards to whether bitcoin is going to end up being more successful that it already has been....

There is no putting the genie back into the bottle - yet there are still questions the ways in which bitcoin's network effects continue to play out and the extent to which real people are able to figure out what is the prize and to keep their eyes on the prize.. to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff... or to recognize various snake oils and snake oil salesmen and a variety of ways that any of us might be humbled by gambling with bitcoin or some related project.  How much are we investing into bitcoin?  Are we over doing it, under doing it or getting  distracted into "diversifying" too much into various shit projects?

How well are we managing our risks?  I am not claiming to be perfect in the risk management department either, but I feel that I can still recognize a variety of ways in which I am NOT going to gamble with my limited finances, limited time, limited mental energies and even my abilities to engage in a sufficient amount of critical thinking in order to attempt to understand if I am sufficiently attempting to understand what is bitcoin as compared to various other related projects - which would include attempting to understand if the use of "crypto" or "cryptocurrency" helps me to understand what is bitcoin and how it might compare with "related" projects.  Is there even such a thing as "crypto?"    I hear the term quite frequently... and sometimes, I use the term myself.. but when I hear others use the term, I bet a vast majority of times, I don't know what the fuck they are talking about when using the term... so I am likely going to keep asking for clarification regarding the term.. and some folks will ignore my question, some will attempt to respond, and some will likely not understand why the question was asked.

Most fraudulent or scam platforms hide under the term crypto. And the majority of the setbacks bitcoin has encountered are an indirect consequence of the mismanagement of most of these wannabe coins.

Well there are also scams that hide under the name of Bitcoin. But yes, your assessment is correct. MOST scams are crypto, or otherwise mentioned as "altcoins" or "shitcoins", depending on the subjectively perceived quality of said coin.

But then again, the quality is always compared to Bitcoin and found lacking. Even the second biggest altcoin is centralizing itself out of relevance with PoS.

All these coins do is create lower dips and higher pumps for Bitcoin. So, thank you, I guess?

As far the name of Bitcoin being sullied: I think we should, as a community, separate "Bitcoin" from "Crypto". Which is what JJG has doing since the dawn of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Yearly Candles

This years candle looks like such an obvious bear trap. We could spring back to 30k+ before the end of the year. Unless we end the year on a fat red candle, I am staying optimistic.

1915  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning how to code in order to automate trading strategies, is it worth? on: December 03, 2022, 09:21:36 PM
Hey members.

I have been a trader for about 4 years, but lately I have been thinking much about learning how to code from scratch (Yep, I am those unlucky ones who did a course that didn't require any coding  Cheesy)

I intended to use the knowledge gathered to make and automate some trading strategies and also understand better how to use some bots, but I am left to wonder if these whole new journey will be worth it?

Also, apart from pine script programming language that is specifically trading view, is Python the only other programming language I need to learn (No JavaScript and all those other programming languages)?

I don't know but I am in a very similar situation as you. I am a trader since 10 years more or less and I have only recently started learning Python. But my reasoning for Python is not creating trading bots or automated trading bots but rather to create an AI trading bot. I have been told Python is the best for starting out in AI but I myself am a novice so I cannot really give you any certain guarantees on how useful Python will be and whether there is a better alternative for AI beginners.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 03, 2022, 06:43:30 PM
under-age gambling.any side effects?
Firstly gambling is a habit that becomes an addiction when not properly control and its really gonna eat you up likewise making you restless and not always focused on things you should do.

The  rate at which i see young minds and teens involved in the act of gambling in my area is really alarming and because of the poor regulatory bodies controlling the laws in my area they can't really do anything about this and its really affecting this young age.
Gambling has become a thing for everyone in my locality with out any age restrictions and am just curious If this is not going to cause side effects on this young gamblers.

Just the other day i was predicting  some games in the world cup in a betshop cause my network was bad so i can't stake online  so i decided to go to the betshop to place the bet, then to my shock i was boy aged around 14 to 15 years who came in and gave the cashier a booking code to place the bet and give him the coupon and the cashier collected and i was like isn't this too little to be involved in such acts.

And am just curious if this won't affect the person in times to come

I think that under-age gambling is a huge risk for the correct development of the adolescent brain. Just like with drugs, gambling releases chemicals in your brain which, if done again and again could possibly rewire the young brain in such a way, that its development becomes stunted or just completely wrong. This is not a big risk for adults because their brains are done growing (around age 21-25?, I think?).

If you see kids gambling, you should definitely intervene, as a responsible adult.
1917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We People Cannot Think Like Whales 🐋 🐳? on: December 03, 2022, 02:20:53 AM
First of all many members will roast me and will say that where you got such idea, why are you bluffing but this is Bitcoin discussion, so I thought that I should share something.

1) Many Of Small traders always got into the Trap of Whales? Why?

2) There are Always Ponzi Schemes in All Bull runs like 2027 was ICO big Scam
And Now BIG crypto projects Got scammed in 2022 like Terra Luna, FTX, Solana, Serum etc. They are not just coincidence. These are preplanned Scams. And that. Sucks.
3) I think that Big Exchanges that are centralized are Big whales cause they know how much volume they have and how many longs and also Shorts. In this way they can Scam with many many wats. And also that is a small reason that we cannot outsmart Whales 🐋🐳.

I believe the biggest issue is that for the whales, this is all just a game they are playing. They have more than enough money set aside, even if they were to lose all their trading funds.

So losing money is not as nerve-wracking as it is for people who do not have so much money. For me, 1 dollar is not a lot of money. But for people who live in third world countries, 1 dollar is a lot of money that they might cry over losing.

Using fear tactics, the rich whales are just playing us out of our money by creating fear-scenarios.

Thats why people say to hodl your coins. Do not let yourself be psychologically influenced into selling your coins for cheapt to the whales. That is what they are hoping for! Undecided
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: December 02, 2022, 05:52:17 PM
They say two good heads are better than one, I couldn't agree more. Here's a an unconventional betting strategy that me and my friends have come up with to bet on some of the world cup games. I totally love it because we have cashed out about $1000 since the games began. Also, it minimized the losses and everyone goes home happy.

The strategy -  We created one betting account with a local gambling site prior to the World Cup Games. We all contribute equal amount of money to fund the wallet. And using different analysis we place our bets on at least 3 of the world cup games every day.

For me it has a lot of advantages -

- it minimizes losses
- it reduces the chances of being addicted
- it helps to build bonding. We hang out. We watch the game and we have fun.
- We have a budget and we stick to it. It sorts of builds accountability.

Do you have a unconventional betting strategy that have been working for you? Do Share.

Sorry I do not see your "strategy" working out. If you are hoping to crowd-source the most popular betting choices, you are going to need to be aware that you need much more data input than only from a few friends. And it is completely redundant as well, seeing as you can put together the same data from third party data sources by yourself.

And putting all the money into one wallet? Who is going to maintain the wallet? Why do we need to trust someone else to hold our funds? Sounds sketchy.

The advantages are non existant, as it would seem to me. You have failed to even explain how those advantages would come about.
1919  Economy / Economics / Re: EU Moving to Ban Privacy Coins: Report on: December 02, 2022, 04:00:52 PM
Oh boo hoo! The EU is banning privacy coins. And?

Since when has the EU or anyone else ever been able to ban any kind of crypto coins? Name me one time that worked, even with shitcoins? It never has been able to ban anything. Not even China can ban crypto. There is always a work-around for coiners.

The truth is that the governments of the world are powerless against decentralization because they are overwhelmed by the sheer numbers.

Their bans mean nothing.

So I am also having trouble understanding the listing part of the "service".

And what is trending services? How are you going to make the listings trend?
