If you look at LTC.
LTC was valued at $60-70 million for the first half of 2015
LTC priced in the halving between May & June & also overshot slightly (So 3-4 months before the halving.)
After the halving it has been able to maintain >$140 million with the same level of demand because it now has half the inflation.
On that example...
You would expect BTC to start fully pricing in the halving about 3-5 months from now, possibly a bit earlier and also to overshoot.
After resettling, it should also be able comfortably maintain a $700-1000 price with the same level of demand as it would then only have half the current inflation.
BTC has this year been rising mainly due to centralized currency related issues this year, (Greece, South America and now China devaluation and capital control circumvention.) So not much halving priced in yet imo.
So I expect BTC to test $1000 within 5 months
That's a pretty optimistic evaluation. If that indeed goes true then there would be a second batch of millionaires following the 2013 boom.

So, there is actually no Cloud Mining Website that is legit?
Both Hashnest and GM are legit. None of them is profitable ATM, especially not Genesis Mining. What are you taking into account when you say it's not profitable? I haven't reached ROI with GM yet, but have been receiving constant payments and expect to ROI soon, and after that collect profits... What is wrong with my logic? Please explain so I avoid putting more money into it ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Here is what s wrong with your logic. With galloping BTC mining dif of 20-30% per month, there s NO WAY you are about to reach ROI soon. If I m wrong, pls share your data. Even if you re able to reach your ROI mysteriously, your profits after that re going be dust, so low, you cant call them profits. In essence, what you GM investors do is to provide nice, interest free loans to GM and they use that money to build those farms while you get no profit or peanuts. If I m wrong, show me your data. Tell me when you have invested, what was BTC price of your contract so we can see what was your ROI. True, see this for example - a week ago my HashNest contract was earning 0.004-0.005/day/TH now it's down to ~0.003-.004/day/TH. With an ever increasing difficulty I will need to purchase more GHs to keep up with my target, which further pushes away the ROI. The profits in the cloud mining space is in trading, not so much in the mining itself.

Nope, these kinds of transactions are fully dependent on trust and reputation. You might wanna consider selling other stuff first to get your feet wet and get a hang on selling here before trying to sell gift cards, you'd earn respect and trust as a seller along the way.
On another note, probably a way around this is selling accounts with pre-loaded gift card balance. It might not always work but I've already seen a couple people selling pre-loaded accounts like Spotify.

A feature where advertisers can pick what kinds of sites (blogs, faucets, stats sites only or mixed) to display their ads on would be awesome.

Actually there is nothing bad if we don't reach $500 before the year end. we already acomplished an important goal for the year 2015 that is to reverse the bear trend. the rest is left for 2016. A slower rise is much better in the longer term, than a sudden p&d.
True, but it would be awesome if we did reach the $500 mark. It's the perfect way to start the new year - by a bullish trend.

As always, Golden state warriors win again with over points. luckly i always bet over on this gsw match, i thought GSW will lose again, but they can make it in 2nd half. good job.
really? i don't think so, at least they didn't win the over points when they played against Lakers and Bucks(at buck's home) Yeah GSW not always win with over scored but their is one of team almost can win every game has been played yeah, definitely, but one exception is bucks haha, GSW almost lost the match to bucks again, luckily they played well in the last minutes, just allin GSW when they play against other teams, althoug the ML odds are low but pretty sure can win. They just ran out of gas at the last 5 minutes, although it was so thrilling to watch. Now how about the 4 OT in the Pistons VS Bulls matchup, that was some game. Next matchup is a giveaway, 76ers vs Cavs.

I think almost everybody won their bets yesterday night, even it was only 3 games played. Money line and over/under bets finished as expected. In Cavs - Thunder game LeBron injured Jason Day's wife. Did you see that? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhwT7qLZomUIt's pretty messed up the way he dived in there, although it was kind of good to see Lebron carry the work. Next up, MIL vs GSW, I believe GSW taking a revenge for that streak ending lose. Would love to see them play the bucks again.

With all these hype regarding the pump at the halving I'm beginning to see a lot of people will be disappointed when the time comes.

I thought they were after private sidechains? It's kinda not logical if they're gonna pursue a 'bitcoin alternative' IMO.

If you were to make a bitcoin service/company, What would it do and how would you go about doing it? Would it help people around the world or just make money? What features would if have? Why would your idea work better? Please leave your ideas below. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Joe here from Magnr, a bitcoin trading, savings and investment platform. In 2013 I did just that and launched a bitcoin only trading platform called BTC.sx (now known as Magnr Trading). > What would it do and how would you go about doing it? We both personally and professionally see a huge opportunity in the on-ramping space. What I mean by that is any form of business that is involved in getting Bitcoin into the hands of people. Its becoming easier and easier to set up these businesses with banks becoming more aware of what Bitcoin is. USD / GBP / EUR etc are trillion dollar markets Bitcoin is a 6 billion dollar market (tiny in comparison) If you are bullish on bitcoin, then the on-ramp space will be an opportunity worth a hell of a lot of money if you are successful. We do not do this at Magnr because we are fairly focused on investment based products. > Would it help people around the world or just make money? Do both! Any bitcoin business (as long as its not a ponzi or a scam) helps the ecosystem grow which helps all the bitcoiners in the world! Making money is a very important part of running a successful business so make sure whatever you do makes money for you too. That is unless you are super rich and want to give bitcoins away, in which case go set up a faucet. > What features would if have? That depends what you do. > Why would your idea work better? Ideas work best when you have passion. Make sure whatever you choose, you can be passionate about. Great inputs, it's nice to see people from bitcoin companies being active here in the forums. Do you have an AMA on forum.bitcoin.com?

If I had a small business as a physical shop, I would simply go to bitadress.org, generate a new paper wallet, and print the public key in a paper, put it in the counter and that's about it. I wouldn't even bother dealing with 3rd party payment processors. The more you stay true to Bitcoin only the better unless you really need to.
This may work for bitcoin savvy individuals and business owners, but not so much for those who just want to provide their customers with another payment method. These people wants cash, and so it's logical they'd use a 3rd party service.

Hi, can you give specific metrics for your directory? Like traffic and such, and probably SEO metrics too since I suppose the link would be do-follow.

What's this like? Quora, Helium, HubPages, or anything like these sites?
We write articles and post it, and we do share revenue for the ads?

Just in time when the new batches of S7s shipped. Too bad, this is gonna take longer to ROI.

My Cavs are looking much better with Shumpert, if they beat OKC next Thursday they will get Irving back to face the Sixers and then GSW on Christmas day, that will be awesome. The game against OKC in particular on Thursday will be a safe bet with good odds for Cleveland in my opinion.
Cavs on Sixers is a giveaway even without Irving. Let's hope they bring us a good show vs GSW on Christmas. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

People use fear to sell you everything, don't buy into this crapola. Stock market indexes were down less than 3%! That not a hell of a lot.
Not yet anyway. ~3% is significant if you're holding funds that involve multiple indices. Rising interests, economic drawbacks, upcoming elections - there are a lot of factors that would have caused this, but I believe it's just a bearish market. Not much to worry about.

I just hope Bitcoin rises enough in my lifetime to really make a difference. I know I will likely make a decent profit of it, but will it really allow me to retire early or really supplement my income enough so that I can do what I want instead of slaving myself away for a wage? I hope so.
It's still early, it will make a difference. Let's see what this halving next year will do to the economy and the price, if it lives up to our expectation, rising significantly, then we should expect the same trend on the future halvings - which would mean it'll really be huge when the time comes.

Only 38$ left to 500 so it's safe to say that we'll see 500$ in the near future. Maybe it will be before Christmas, maybe in January, but it's too close.
Yes, and this steady rise inspires confidence. This increase looks like it will be sustainable. No flash in the pan. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Let us see how the latest Bitcoin Foundation woes will affect the price. I kinda think it'll stall a bit at this level.

Minnesota over Denver tonight too, they've been improving a lot in their games lately. I really hope Wiggins do double digits.

We'd probably experience another bearish period after the holidays, months before the halving. Then another round for the bulls because of the halving. At least, we should expect that.
