802  Economy / Computer hardware / {WTS} DPS-2000bb IBM Power Supply with Breakout Board & Fans on: September 30, 2018, 08:29:57 PM
Ive got a DPS-2000bb with breakout board and 4x50mm delta fans attached for cooling. Its now surplus to requirements. It hasnt been used at all the psu was secondhand from a server but it has been tested and is working. Breakout board has the option for asjustable voltage upto 14.4v. Comes with a heavy duty UK power cable.

Open to offers. I’m based in the UK so shipping to the US will probably be too expensive but im happy to get a quote if asked.

Wrong section bud. You want the “Mining (altcoins)” section further down the main page.

Are you using the updated version?

Yep. Using the latest version.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nicehash miner “handshake” issue?? on: September 13, 2018, 05:16:16 PM
So i get home from work today and see that my hobby rig is in a loop saying the “nhmp: handshake: end of stream (1)”. Then is disconnects. Restarted the rig and restarted my router (just incase) but made no difference. According to the nicehash stats page it started this at 12:00pm (approximately 6hours ago).

Anyone have a similar thing going on with their rigs?

P.S. I know nicehash isnt some of you guys favourite company but its quick and easy for me and doesnt require checking into the rig too often....well apart from today  Roll Eyes

Cheers.

Ive got a pi3 and loads of bits the i had on my little pi hobby rig if youre interested? Are you in the UK?
Nope. I'm not in the UK, the shipping should be within the US. I don't need the power supply itself, I have quite a few of them.

Ok just thought you were when you requested the uk plug. Ill post of picture of what ive got and see if its of any interest if you want?

Well it seems that the breakout board for dps-2000/2500 is NOT compatible with the Emerson 1975w psu. Same eight power blades but the other connector is different. I was in talks with ABVmining to see if a breakout board could be made but molex told him the connector for the Emerson is no longer manufactured  Sad

Breakout board that i purchased from ABV arrived today. Its a very well made board. Quality components and the added benefit of voltage adjustment from the looks of it. Once I get the PSU i will test it out.

Hi Philip,

Yea those are the psu im enquiring about.

well I have been looking for a pinout and can't find one , but if you are will to buy one to test and it is a fail I will spring for 35 usd towards the fail.  Lowers your risk to test it out and helps other miners if they buy it.

I am not sure I have any of those breakouts or I would test it my self.  looks like it would be good for a lot of other gear.

Avalon, s9, t1

Thanks for looking philip. I tried myself for quite some time before I admitted defeat and asked on here. Ill purchase the board and psu this evening and hopefully it wont take too long to arrive (board is coming from russia but looks well built with added voltage adjustment). I appreciate the offer of the risk management too  Smiley

815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Dps-2000bb/2500bb breakout board compatiblity on: August 07, 2018, 08:37:40 PM
Hi,

Just a quick question.

Im looking at other psus to power my gpu rigs and stumbled across an IBM 1975w Emerson. From what I can see the connections look like they will take the dps2000bb/2500bb breakout board but just wanted to ask you knowledable lot to confirm it.

I dont need a psu over 2000w really as each rig doesnt draw more then 960w but the Emerson doesnt look like it requires any other fans to be attached.

Im currently using a 1500w HP common slot and the small fan really screams in this heat. The larger fan on the Emerson would be perfect for cooling.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You've already have multiple people say they would happily purchase your card at $450. Why did you lower the price? Why are you avoiding answering my question regarding escrow?

I think youve found them out bill lol.

820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cant access nicehash over cellular network on: July 17, 2018, 07:08:19 PM
Hi everyone

It seems that I cannot access any part of the nicehash website over cellular/mobile network here in the UK. If my phone ks connected via wifi it works fine.

Just wondered if anyone is having a similar problem? Ive tried google, chrome, safari, firefox but no luck. It says “a server with the specified hostname could not be found, NSURLErrorDomain”.

Any help would be appreciated as while im at work I cant check on my rigs.

Thanks.
