If this is a business and you make regular earnings and they go to your bank account you should really pay tax on it.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Riser Card Wiring on: February 04, 2018, 08:23:29 AM
Dude just buy more risers with the correct connection in the first place. Dont go stripping connectors off and soldering wires on. Thats a great way to increase the risk of something going wrong.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I overclock if temp is constant??? on: February 03, 2018, 05:48:24 PM
The easiest thing to do is set the fan curve in Afterburner so that the fan speed increases as the temp rises. You can overclock until it becomes unstable and crashes then reboot and lower the clocks.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap 1080ti £ 72pound ebay not sure if they are right but seller looks genuine on: February 02, 2018, 04:28:36 PM
There are loads of these listing various gpus for around the £50-80 mark. No actual photos of the item and accounts that only have feedback of more than a year or more old (if at all). Blatant scam attempts for people desperate to get there hands on gpus.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU on the M.2 Adapter - much slower Hashrate on: January 31, 2018, 05:39:59 PM
As already said it could well be a bad adaptor. Ive run cards on the m.2 slot using bios settings of gen2 and had no issues. My m.2 adaptors are “Lattcure” branded and use a 1x pcie slot rather than just the usb connection on the board. Not sure if that makes any difference but they do seem like wuality adaptors.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig keeps freezing, need some outside opinions on: January 30, 2018, 04:36:06 PM
About to head home and tinker, any last thoughts?

I think I will swap out all my risers with this other set I have and increase the virtual memory size.  Also I will check every connection to make sure its seated properly.

Thats probably best. Personally i would run a gpu and its riser on the same psu. Then you at keast know that the both i puts are receiving the exact same voltage.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 750W PSU use How many 1070 GpU on: January 30, 2018, 04:30:48 PM
Lets put it this way. Im using 725w at the wall running 5x 1070ti at 70%power limit and the mobo, cpu, ssd, four external fans.

So im guessing that depending on your settings and setup try 3x 1070 first and see what the power draw is using a power monitor.

929  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: January 30, 2018, 07:54:24 AM
I don’t understand the dropouts and hangs.  I run for weeks on end using the Lenovo m700 tiny.

Do you guys push stick clocks hard?

I was having the same issues on my little Pi-gekko rig. I put it down to the software updates as it was fine on the first version if the new style OS but as soon as I did a second update it would randomly hang for no reason and required constant restarting. Never got to the root of the cause so ended up selling it.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ryzen 7 CPU Miners....what cooler are you using? on: January 28, 2018, 03:57:44 PM
Cheers guys. Nice to know that even the 1700x doesnt run too hot. Im looking at the evga CLC with 120mm rad for space saving. Im hoping seeing as its an open air frame similar to parallel miners 6.1 frame and the ambient room temp is around 20c it will be ok.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ryzen 7 CPU Miners....what cooler are you using? on: January 27, 2018, 11:13:31 PM
Anyone using a CLC/AIO cooler on there ryzen 7?
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: help with Claymore dual mining settings on: January 27, 2018, 06:44:08 AM
Have you set your own bat file with wallet addresses? Have you set “-dcri” to the value you want it to dual mine at?
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HP used Servers - DL140, DL360 - what can be used for mining? on: January 26, 2018, 11:06:17 PM
Common slot psus are worthwhile keeping at least.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ryzen 7 CPU Miners....what cooler are you using? on: January 26, 2018, 11:04:36 PM
Updated the first post  Wink as its the 1700x ive got on order. Couldnt resist for the slight price difference. Ive got a phanteks ph-tc12ls on the intel rig but thts only an i5-7500t (35w tdp) so runs at 45c under full load. Id like the same cooler for the 1700x but cant seem to find an am4 mounting kit and phanteks havent got back to me.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ryzen 7 CPU Miners....what cooler are you using? on: January 26, 2018, 10:32:57 PM
Seeing as the Ryzen 7 series cpus are pretty good at mining im curious to know what coolers you guys are using to keep the thing at a decent temperature?

Ive got parts on order to start my second hobby rig with a 1700X  (this one is all amd, first rig is intel/nvidia) and looking for an am4 compatible top down flow cooler that wouldnt take up much space. I dont want to go AIO due to mounting the rad somewhere on the aluminium frame it will all be mounted on.

So, whos got what coolers and getting what temps?

938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question: how much wattag can i draw from my walls. on: January 22, 2018, 05:40:27 PM
For starters you are using the wrong terms which can be dangerous.

If you have an 11amp breaker for a circuit then you can draw 11amps X 230 Volts = 2530watts

That is for the ENTIRE circuit. You dont want to use the whole amount anyway as you will be tripping the breaker if the voltage varies for any reason. 80% is more than enough. So max safe draw would be 2000watts on the ENTIRE circuit.

939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hp 1400w flex slot power supply on: January 21, 2018, 06:48:25 PM
Asked the same question a while ago and no one got back to me to pinouts but they are definitely different from common slot. Ended up sticking with common slot psus seeing as breakout boards are readily available. Unfortunately due to gou mining the prices of server psus are getting high and no doubt will reach an equal value to atx psus in a few months.

Lattcure is the white PCB?

Thank you all for your answers!

Yea the white pcb with white leds. You dont need the power lead they provide though but if you want to use it then its works with it too.
