Hello,
I am using Ethos and would like to run claymore with 6 gpu
hope someone could point me in th right direction here (please !)
You have to believe me here when i say that i have tried absolutley everything
i have read here but i just cannot get 6 gpu working with this motherboard.
With Claymore each gpu is at least 2 mh/s faster
With ethminer i can run 5 stable(3 days)
with both sgminer and claymore's the 6 gpu will start up and hash at 27 or so and the cut down to 4
after 1 or 2 minutes.
With sgminer it also does me the courtesy of telling me that the 2 gpu are sick then dead.
This can be with any card in any slot,it always changes.
I think somehow that that is the important part ?
All cards and risers work fine and have been checked in different slots, different risers, individually,
in groups and any combination you can think of.
All the info on here i can find i have followed.
So that's 4 gpu with claymore and sgminer,
and 5 with ethminer.
This is my first build and i have really enjoyed it so far,im looking forward to making more hopefully.
but i have now been banging my head against a brick wall for 2 weeks now(starting to make a mess)
Anyway i hope someone here has a clue for me.
Cheers

Claymore runs them harder. Try reducing the memory frequency.

Vlay

Thanks,
but i have had them at stock settings and it still showed all the same behaviour.

Claymore 9.5 switch from 131 epoch to 4 epoch.
Claymore 9.4 don't switch. Nvidia cards.
It's okey? Or it's some bug?

So I've just set up a new rig with Windows 10 64-bit and running NVIDIA GTX 1070s. I'm getting 2.5MH/s. I am sure I have seen something like this before but I can't remember how it was resolved.
I've updated Windows, and I am running the recommended driver (I think 368.81).

Any idea how to resolve this?

EDIT: I'm reading how this could be fixed by downloading the Windows 10 Creators update. Not sure what that is but I'll try in the morning.

Can I use Sapphire GPRO 8200 with Claymore miner? Technically, it's RX480, but what about drivers/software support?

I'm pretty sure the WX 8200 (which that card should be a version of) should have come with applicable drivers.
I'm not certain but think it's likely that it would work with standard AMD drivers since it's the same chipset as their consumer cards - but AMD and NVidia do some wierd stuff sometimes on drivers for their "professional" card lines.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

What driver are you using?
Seems like the newest drivers from AMD are the problem.
I'm getting back to 16.xx.

Do you have any idea about HSM modules? Is it possible to use them for mining? I know HSMs has powerful API documentation. Just take a look:

Did the same thing to me with my 1060s.

update your version of windows to the creators edition. 2nd option windows 7 64bit.

only chance to make it work, spent 100hr researching.

Had no failing rigs - until today. Sadly I now can confirm that EthMan still did not detect that the rig was up and running again ("View miner console" worked).
I started to use your logging debug version now and will inform you as soon as I have the error "recorded".

Did you try to reproduce the lock with sending the restart command to a read-only mamangement interface like I stated before?

Yeah I got some logs and found the reason of the issue, I will post EthMan v3.3 within 1-2 days.

Here is new version of EthMan for tests: https://mega.nz/#!7w4hVKyQ!63zs8B8KBsCnreElYCNz5C0pCLw_5Y_jw9hIQZpWVxY
1. Fixed issue with lost connection.
2. Added "retrigger" feature and separate options for every event.

I tried last 3 versions of AMD drivers. No change...

Read FAQ, a question about freeze until any key is pressed.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

I would guess it's because you are mining on nicehash, not only Ethereum. If your hashing power is direct to another buyer it is also possible that the coin which is mined changes - so another DAG has to be created and used.

Hi Everybody and Claymore Dev.

I monitoring Claymore V9.5  from epoch 128-130. Hashrate is Down. I used RX480 8GB x6 on hashrate around 175.5 MH/s

epoch 128 : 175.5 MH/s
epoch 129 : 174.3 MH/s
Now epoch 130 : 173.1 MH/s

please help me . Why to resolve this. Thank you

Its normal.
Thanks adaseb, Please let me know, why  ? . Thank you
Its a bug on a software or hardware level with those types of GPUs.

I see the Genoil miner dag size benchmark shows no decrease in mh/s while claymore miner goes all the way down to lose almost 50% mining speed the higher you go. With the point mentioned here is it not possible for claymore to utilize the same method as genoil. Using all Rx480s here and will switch to genoil as no dag/hashrate drop at all? For all the dev fee contributions is it not worth anything to update the code?.

I have used the Genoil benchmark and the hashrate dropped. What command did you used?

Genoil's etherminer uses block number, not epoch number like Claymore's. Just try Genoils's with number 10000000 (10 million) and ypu will see )) It is about epoch 333 )))
