can anyone explain me in which case the difficulty will grow and grow? Is it not depending also on the hashing power? When i look to http://mining.thegenesisblock.comit will not be possible to mine one btc, when start mining with 1,2 Th/s (like the sierra from HF) in June 2014. According to the 'Genesis Block', KnC has to deliver double the amount this month, double that a month in December, double that amount in January, double that amount in February, double that amount in March, and keep doubling until June. In essence it is complete nonsense. An impressive marketing tactic though by some shady marketers. Create fear, uncertainty and doubt using an aesthetically pleasing graph, have it propagated organically throughout forums by the ill-informed, or those with an agenda to prevent further entry to mining...then await all the traffic, and increased google rankings from multiple backlinks and sit on a brand created from BS as a pretend authority. What actually happened was a shit tonne of hardware was delivered in October due to the 28nm node finally coming online equal to the entire hashrate from Bitcoins inception almost 5 years ago, and now nothing new of any substance to be delivered since. Followed by a chunk coming on line at the end of this month that won't possibly have anywhere near the same effect as last month otherwise KnC will have had to have sold double the previous amount and have a factory capable of producing double the amount equal to the previous time frame. So do you think they are capable of scaling that month upon month, or that that much custom exists? No. Seriously? KNC has to deliver? You do know that there are around 10 PH (in reality propably double that) coming online by april 2014 and you try to talk that fact down? I have a high opnion of you, but that is just wrong.

do you know when the tunning suite comes? Thank you
Nope, seen it running though. What are the tunable things? Voltage? Frequency?

I appreciate that Mota, thank-you, but perhaps I can reiterate the paradigm. I was giving an example of what has just been witnessed with respect to cumulative effect upon the hashrate. Ignore the KnC association then and focus on the magnitude. Even if another manufacturer delivers next month, then 2 new manufacturers need to enter the next month with the same impact upon hashrate, then 4 the following month, 8 the subsequent, followed by 16, 32, 64, 128x month on month. It's just not happening, and 'The Genesis Block' know that, it's merely a false means of traffic generation for their site so they can earn revenue from advertising...

Nevertheless, we will see (at the time KnC's second generation will see the light) around April/May 2014 a total network of around 20 PH. When the first Jupiters were send to us, network was about 3 TH and you could mine in its first days about 1 BTC for a 7000 dollar investment. Mapping this to April/May, I hope that KnC releases a second-gen product capable of 4000 Gh/s for 7000 dollar to make the same ROI as we are making now.....ROI, which isn't there yet in BTC-terms at all (only in dollar terms). Let's see if KnC can "over deliver" again...... but a 4000 Gh/s product wouldn't be easy. Still, I have high hopes!

LOL 3 minutes... https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-65Upgrade Modules Sold Out
All,
Thanks very much for all of the people who purchased the upgrade modules, The entire bunch of 200 sold out in around 3 minutes. We have over sold a little as we were not fast enough to disable the product in the shop. and bitcoin transactions take a few minutes to become verified
What we will say is that to everyone who has paid via bitpay for their order will receive an upgrade board.
We do expect that all boxes will leave this week and we will double the team involved in packing so it goes as quick as we can
Thanks KnCMiner Team

being 3 or 10 does not make any difference. The fact is, as someone already said, that being able to buy ASIC HW for 0.02 BTC/GHs with immediate delivery is a very good deal these days, IMHO.

Just spoke to them mainly about when I can go to pick them up as I don't fancy on paying last minute ticket prices. I really hope they give me at least 1 day notice, so I am the first one to get them to hash The lady on the phone (one of the new I assume) was very reserved on giving any details and couldn't even tell me if its more likely to happen this week or next week. So for the time being we just wait In regards to shipping she told me that the original shipping price for the Jupiter was subsidized by them, because it costs more to send. And the current shipping price for the Upgrade modules is in fact the real actual price of UPS. She said that each Upgrade module is being shipped separately in its own box with its own tracking number and it weights around 300g. So the reason you pay $60 per module is they are not going to ship them as one package and save on posting.

thank you all very much for the feedback of my question.
Today is my first day of october delivery with 550 Gh/s.
I´m happy that the calc on the genesis block shows not the real estimated diff.
Thanks Bitcoinorama, for your clear answer, now i understand it a little bit better.
My thought / calculation is:
The price for one oz gold >= the cost for mining it, also the price for one btc will not be lower than the price to mine it.
Thinking about an 90 day break even point (bep). Every BTC after bep is your roi
5500 USD cost 500 Gh/s = +- 8 to 9 BTC within this time (start mining dec 2013)
5500 USD / 9 BTC = 611 USD per BTC in march 2014.
For this! To all BTC owner´s: "Don´t sell it under 600 USD!"
As more people own BTC which only speculate with it, as harder it will be to fix the price on the next level.
Sorry my english, i´m only an stupid spanish german

The mining revenue and ROI are weaker and weaker every day it passes and every GH/s that is added. We will never have again the earnings like in Avalon B1 units, never like in Avalon B2 units, never like in KnC Batch 1 units, never like in KnC Batch 2 and so on... You get the point. Who says that by over delivering in Gen2 products they have to have the same ROI as in Gen1 Batch 1 units? Over delivering means they promise 250GH/s and they deliver 550GH/s, not by promissing ROI. Your way of thinking is weird.

Your way of thinking is weird. No, it's not so weird... With current prices and network-hashrate's near-term forecasts, it's currently hardly valid to invest in a Miner (much better to buy BTC instead). Still we all have bought our Jupiter to join this game (and risk a loss). In 4 months time we (as miners) will have to answer the same question: buy a next generation KnC-miner, or put our money into BTC directly (or keep it there). If they offer a product with the same (not so well) prospects on ROI as it is today, then Yes I will buy a next generation Miner (because I like to mine, and like to gamble the ROI). But with a forecasted network of 20Th, this implies a huge Miner for a low price.... which I can only hope KnC can deliver (if not: more Miners like me, will stop, which isn't good for the network at all).
