with the given power at 1160 watts should I settle for 1250 power supply or do I have to buy a 1500 one to be safe?
If you plan to now tweak your Neptune cubes (changes the voltages/MHz per chip) then yes you could get away with 1300 watt PSU's to be safe. I know EVGA is having a sale on their SuperNova 1300w G2 (4th Gen) PSU's, they cost $195 CAD each. I picked up a couple for a friend. You will have to buy the 16AWG cables about $10 each plus shipping. I wish there was someone making and or selling (in stock) in the Greater Toronto Area so I wouldn't have to buy them overseas. Can I get away with two 750's?

All you get are the ribbon cables for the miner board. If you are looking for PCI-E cables you'll have to buy them.

and it supports scrypt-n, any coins still using that? as to scrypt-n ...eh....I wonder as to only 300mh for batch 1 purchases...so much for being at the cutting edge (my $$$ contribute to the KNC mining farm) 300mh is weak with current competition shipping but then again the Titan is probably their last product to the masses outside of the arctic cloud mining...so customers are no longer needed.....(nice to be loved) Searing

Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

It's actually batch 1 & 2 who get the bonus miner, though I think they should give us 2 bonus miners they did take even longer to start shipping them after when they promised them.

I could be wrong but i am pretty sure he was talking about Titans and batch 1 and 2 are not getting anything extra except for a big FU. Lesson learned, never pre order anything lol..

One thing rather insignificant thing that I've noticed about KNC compared to their competition other than the fact that their miners are overpriced, under-engineered and poorly constructed... their units just look like crap.
They sure don't know how to package up their ASICs in sexy cases. Even budget-conscious Bitmain does a far better job, especially with the S3s. Not to mention Spondoolies luxurious boxes of gorgeousness.
By comparison, KNC's boxes look like amateur hour at the electronics vo-tech, lol.

They are going away from consumer market, their design clearly shows this intention.

Yes, but in going away from the consumer market, one would think that rackmount enclosures similar to spoondoolies would be the way to go. I guess squeezing every cent from each miner is the most profitable way to go in this arms race. Keep overhead costs to a minimum and keep on minin'. lol

I guess squeezing every cent from each miner is the most profitable way to go in this arms race. Keep overhead costs to a minimum and keep on minin'. lol I guess they just wanted to reuse the open shelves used for their Jupiter's. The ones we have seen on the pictures form their mine. You are right, rack design would be the way to go but I think they just wanted to reuse their farm design. This way it would be a quicker to upgrade their farm. Their mining op comes first, this is the reason why they choose this "cube" design. As you said, they just wanted to keep the overhead cost at a minimum by not changing their shelves or redesigning their proven airflow inside the farm to dissipate the heat. Density was not their concern, they designed something for their needs.
