Hey guys

Just in case you hadn't heard - Bitcoin cloud mining platform CEX.IO is going to start trading DVC/BTC on their exchange (where you can buy and sell ASIC mining shares, BTC and NMC at the moment).

This is absolutely great news and bodes well for the future! We mentioned it briefly in a write up of CEX.IO: http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/anyone-can-mine-bitcoin-from-anywhere-with-revolutionary-bitcoin-asic-cloud-mining-platform-cex-io/

So, following the rules to register on DevTome, I sent a PM to Worldinacoin and presented myself. This was two days ago. Does it take that long to register? Thanks.

DeVCoin is designed to be worth less than 1/1000th of what "normal" coins that only create 50 coins per block, a block per ten minutes, are worth.

So in the long run maybe it will tend to be worth about 1000 DeVCoins per GRouPcoin.

Since BiTCoin produces less than 50 coins per block it should tend to be worth more than 1000 DeVCoins per coin.

(DeVCoin produces 50,000 coins per block forever, GRouPcoin produces 50 coins per block forever, BiTCoin halves coins per block periodically.)

No problem Wink The trade volume on the exchange there is quite decent (and it's an awesome place to cloud mine - they currently pay out merge mined coins NMC, IXC as well as DVC ontop of the BTC mining) - I think it is one of the more professional services to appear for a while. When DVC starts trading there it's going to be exciting times  Wink

I was actually really excited to see that you could buy hashing power directly with Namecoins (because I don't have anything else to do with the Namecoins that I merge mine there).  I asked them when they would be setting it up to where you could buy hashing power with Devcoins and Ixcoins as well, but they said they weren't planning to do that yet.  I hope that changes.  But if you can trade DVC for BTC right there then it would just be a two step process to turn DVC into hashing power.  I also like how the price for a GHz has been pretty stable (even through at least one difficulty rise) so I feel like I am likely to be able to sell it for more or less what I paid for when I get bored with mining Wink

Thanks for replying.

I think Brown Box Tech might have been missed, I just had a quick look over is all, might be another. I have updated the list of DVC accepting merchants (via coinpayments.net ) on the weekend at http://show-me-the-devcoin.info/spend_devcoin.htm

Wow it's a decent sized list!

Jesus Christ guys how made this website ->  http://show-me-the-devcoin.info/spend_devcoin.htm
It doesnt even have css file. Looks terrible. Maybe you need some help with css?

That's his personal website. I didn't include that and other info/blog pages that I know people have built, as was specifically addressing the questions of business-model and commerce.

notabot - brownboxtech is on there, but let me know if/when you find others as good to keep the economy growing and people aware of that.

I dumped quite a few at 13-16, doh! :p
I wouldn't dump at these prices. With a little patience, it's best to wait for a pump. The last pump I caught, I made over 1000% gains on my devcoins.

Then again..... pump may never come.  Smiley  But with the new life that has been breathed into altcoins this week, I'm not taking any chances!

I don't see the big deal about this site anyway. Not too worried about it. Though I'd imagine holding fee shares after that announcement felt like being punched in the stomach....

It is a bit annoying holding mcxFee shares in light of this--I have a few.  But reading the trollbox more than makes up for it for sheer entertainment value Smiley

Ya there are a few investors buying here secretly in small amounts on mcx it was evident in the volume .

If you wanna see what this new interest can do to devcoin price take a look at quarkcoin it was hovering around 30 satoshi a few weeks back and hit 700 recently!

I personally think this project is of higher quality than that and will start to get attention of smart investors looking for merge mined coins.... Namecoins anyone? $5 each

I do not support realsolid and his projects, he is a known scammer and just an overall terrible person. That is the reason I have not been on there.

Realsolid?  Seriously?  Lol, that sounds like poop, constipated poop.  And only a scammer would name himself something like Solid or Mr. Honest, in an attempt to add a few points to his struggling rep.  Good for a laugh, though.  lol.

Yeah he coded and opened up mcxnow.com, and various other scams throughout his time on the forums.

No one has put any black marks on RealSolid's trust rating, and there is no indication that mcxNOW is scamming anyone, unless you want to count the chat window or trollbox where people often talk about planned pumps and dumps.

Calling someone a scammer is a serious accusation so it would be nice if you actually had some (ok, pun intended) real solid evidence to point to.  Otherwise it sounds like you just don't like him, which is OK, but a different matter.

Just the first of many many many threads and links all over the internet. Just do your own research.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133855.msg1425314#msg1425314

We should really be more careful with known scammers guys.
