This is from http://show-me-the-devcoin.info/ - do the parts that apply to you. If your articles are all original you can skip the "Collated" part.

Once you are set up as a user, go to http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=wiki:user:your_user_name

On your page (press Create This Page to open the work box) place the text below

Collated
*:Your Article Here - Source: Collated

Original
*:Your Article Here - Source: Original

Link
www.yourwebsitethatreferstodevtome.ifyouhaveone (optional and should point to http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=earn_devcoins_by_writing to earn a fractional marketing share)

Signature
link to your bitcointalk signature which has a link to http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=earn_devcoins_by_writing to get a fractional marketing share

Tip
Coin Address: hsghs55gf..........

Once you have your user page set up, to create an article page write this (this example is for an original article)

*:Your Article Here - Source: Original

Once you have done that, save your page and click on that link. Create that page as you did your user page (link at top of page - create page). The edit box will appear, place your text in it and save. Edit as needed to get the correct formatting, text appearance, and of course for grammar.

Welcome gondel.

No, you have pasted the actual text of your article to your user-page.

You need to set up your user-age with sections in which you will put links to your articles, the links being in the collated section or the original section.

The articles themselves go in the main part of the wiki as pages of their own.

I posted to another thread but thought I should mention it here too:

How full of errors is that market cap site, though?

I noticed for example it claims 5,672,870,050 DVC exist, but DVC has always produced 50,000 coins per block. So the total number in existence should be a multiple of 50,000. How do they get that odd 50 on the end? How even do they get the 70,000 part on the end? Something is wrong and who knows how many other coins are just as wrong?

Or is there in fact some odd block in DVC's blockchain in which someone chose not to mint 50,000 coins?

Thank you!

Look at other people's user-pages for examples, like mine for example: http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=wiki:user:knotwork

Use the edit option to see the actual wiki-code used. You made yours like an external link. You need to make it an internal link, and furthermore that needs something special, a colon I think, to make sure it points over to the main wiki instead of assuming you mean the link to stay inside only the user-pages section. You also need the text saying it is original, that the robot (script) presumably looks for on each line .

Can someone link me the working source? We are trying to build the daemon for WorkForCrypto.com but all the sources we have found are shit
bump. Did anyone get back to them on this - I didn't think there was a problem with the daemons?

I think we should have an admin that tracks these types of issues and resolves them publicly releasing information via some kind of issue tracking software like Jira. This can be linked to the Git repository aswell so we can track what issues were fixed in what version of the code.

We are ready to add Devcoin as soon as we get the current source, they seem to all be a mess right now

(Yes, I know it says DEV instead of DVC, we did it on purpose)

git://gitorious.org/devcoin/devcoin.git isn't the right source? That seems to have updates from Aug 2013.

Also pretty weird that no tags were created when we had stable builds that were unit tested and verified? There is only a master branch. I would assume any code checked in the master branch should work and is buildable.

Where is UnthinkingBit? He seems to be getting paid but he doesn't read this thread? Why am I the one giving this answer when I'm not even an admin?

Thanks, we will give it a shot in the next couple days and see if it works. I only ask because our searches came up with a whole lot of outdated results and wanted to get the real one straight from the thread. No issues with any of the other coins we've added, so I know we are doing it right. If that's the wrong one, someone please give us the real one...sick of it not working  Sad

I appreciate you linking it

That's the one that linked from http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin so I'm pretty sure its the official source code, please try to build devcoind and see if it works.  Are you using FreeBSD, Linux, or Mac or Windows as your server? The devcoin daemon's are available for download for supported architectures at that link. The source's seem to be out of date based on the Windows source. They probably need to be synced up but I'm not sure why you need to recompile a daemon if your architecture is supported already and you can just download the daemon from devtome?

We build all the clients and daemons ourselves, but if it doesn't work again, maybe we will try downloading one of the daemons. Thanks again
