1681  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: February 03, 2023, 08:58:24 PM
Is there any gambling/casino website that owns a android application? I noticed that all gambling websites are good for PC/Computers but not phones, I believe an android application will be flawless and way easier to access..

Casinos do not really need to develop their own application for the purpose of easier access for smart phone users. They just modify the website to be smart-phone friendly and thats really all they have to do. In fact, even if you use your smartphone, or in your case, android phone with a online gambling casino website which has not yet customized their site for smart phone users, you can still play on their website. It just won't be as comfortable as it would be on a desktop computer or laptop.

But the smart marketing move would be to make their website smartphone friendly.
1682  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: February 03, 2023, 04:37:59 PM
Paper money will definitely be phased out but not because the government invented some CBDC bs but rather because its old world money. What we are going towards is a future of Bitcoin and crypto. CBDC will merely be one out of many options and it definitely will not be the prominent one.

People and even governments are starting to understand that Bitcoin is the next generation of money and once it is globally adopted, we will see a new future of finance.

Even the government acknowledged this simple fact indirectly by attempting to copy Bitcoin with their own version.
1683  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 03, 2023, 03:18:37 PM
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that no has the capability to predict it's rise or fall.
I am beginning to have a doubt that Bitcoin cannot go to a higher price just like the previous year.
Cause Bitcoin is determined by the number of people in the digital market. Just like the higher the number of people that purchase Bitcoin the lower it's price and for it price to go higher it requires some Bitcoin investors, traders and miner's to withdraw some percentage of their Bitcoin. So I still have the doubt of Bitcoin shooting higher  just as we are expecting in 2024.

Throughout all these years with Bitcoin, I have learned one simple truth.

Ask yourself one simple question before you start despairing:

Would you be having such fearful thoughts if Bitcoin was currently in a bull market going over 70k+ ? I think the answer is quite simple. No you would not. So why start doubting Bitcoin during a bear market? Even if right now seems like Bitcoin was supposed to rise back up, things do not go as planned. You need to believe in the long term potential!
1684  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 03, 2023, 01:57:30 PM
Another bad session at dices.  Roll Eyes
Can you believe it? in only a dozen of rolls I got out of combat and had to stop (because I had reached my personal loss threshold).
This contrasts much with the first time I played dices on Stake and managed to get a sweet streak.

this is my second bad session in a row, perhaps I should move onto blackjack and let the dices cold down for a couple of months, for Satoshi's sake...

Maybe yesterday was just a day of bad luck for everyone playing slots?  Grin Roll Eyes

I too did not have much luck at the slot games and got quite frustrated as well. Although I cannot say that I have reached any kind of personal loss threshold, I definitely will be needing to take a break from gambling for a week at least, until my head cools down enough and I can play again without making any dumb bets out of anger or excitement.

I would recommend you do the same as well. Just take a rest and think about something else for a while. Get your motivation and self-control back. Grin
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 25 in Saudi Arabia on: February 03, 2023, 12:27:48 PM
I got your point mate, Jake Paul is indeed too hyped enough and that's because he got a huge fan base on the social media which explains why are we seeing some reels about him and about his recent fights, even trainings. But c'mon, Tommy over Jake? I mean, that's possible though but Tommy's chances are actually slim than the latter to win the fight. Apart from that, their power difference is quite evident enough to see who got the upper hand.

Jake Paul is a pretty boy influencer who cares more about his image than his boxxing career, his skills or even his fans. I have long since disliked him for his attitude and his self-absorbed character.  No matter how good the odds anyone gives him, I will never bet on him to win. Boxxing is a serious competition sport and it should be taken in with utmost dignity. There are way too many egomaniacs who pretend to be good boxxers just to have a fanbase who will give them the attention they want.

1686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you consider spreading FUD to be unethical? on: February 03, 2023, 10:59:05 AM
While we can all agree that panic selling is newbie domain, there are also veterans who love spreading Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.

Let me be the one with a different opinion here.
There are way too many veterans who scream FUD even when a fact is as blue as the sky, it is certain beyond any doubt and they still scream it's not true just because they don't like it and it will hurt the price. There were hundreds who screamed MtGox collapsing was FUD, there were thousands screaming China ban is FUD, LUNA was FUD, FTX going down is FUD!

I agree that there are waay too many people screaming FUD when trades do not go their way or they lose money due to their own dumb decisions. Such behaivor is childish and completely foolish. But technically, they are not really spreading FUD but rather they are blaming FUD on their problems when they themselves caused their issues.

Real news, which has not been in any way manipulated or overexaggerated is always most welcome to anyone, veteran or not, but I think there is quite a difference between someone complaining about the news and someone who purposefully engineers his own FUD, using the news as a basis.

For example, whenever Elon Musk tweets a picture of a doge, but does not add any textual context, I instantly see rumors being spread around of his exact intentions. Which are of course, unknown.
1687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: February 03, 2023, 12:26:56 AM
Are you guys really questioning whether or not you should trust a bot, over yourself? Whether its AI or not does not matter since AI is still in its baby shoes and obviously the human mind is leaps and bounds beyond the current AI.

And honestly, we might never develop an AI which can outperform a human in the areas that matter most to us. How does one create something better and more complex-minded than oneself? Do we even have the capacity to think of such a thing or does it outstrip our brainpower and is therefore out of reach to us?

Either way, I do not trust my money to a computer algorithm. No matter how impressively it can imitate a human.

1688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 02, 2023, 10:21:24 PM
So, have they finally been able to decide on the location of the match or are they keeping it a surprise or something?  I have not been able to get a straight answer ever since I first heard about the Davis vs Garcia match. And lets be honest, its been a long time coming, so I would not be surprised if all these secretive stuff is just another marketing tactic before the actual match.

I am pretty sure the match will be in Las Vegas but which stadium?
1689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: February 02, 2023, 12:11:42 PM
For newbie traders to learn.

I want to have a broader knowledge about this because I do not want to be discussing partially about what I did when I wanted to learn crypto trading.

First thing first, this is what I did.
I learn trading myself, using articles and videos from trading sites. It was fun for me because I like to learn if it is about what could earn me money.

After learning trading, I trade. I learn derivative trading as well. But what later happened was that I was losing. I do lost in gambling since 2014 until I had control over it, gambling took money from me, but I had more money in 2019 and trading has taking more from me until I gained more experience about what trading is before my losses reduced and profit increases.

How about you people that had a tutor, were you able to be taught in a way you do not lose in the beginning? I only started to make profit some months ago and till now though, but I lost for almost 2 to 3 years. Maybe tutoring can help to avoid losses?

I think a tutor might help you in the very beginning, but it will not help you in the long run. You need experience and the only way to achieve that is by "learning by doing". And yes, you will lose a lot of money your "newbie years" and yes, you will be very angry and sad about it. But you need to see those losses as tuition fees for learning trading. In later years you will make that money back when you become a good trader.

As far as derivative trading goes, I would highly recommend against it. Especially if you are a beginner. But even I stay away from it as a veteran trader. Especially knowing how exchanges manipulate the market in their favor.
1690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin with Tiffin money of my college life. on: February 02, 2023, 10:34:20 AM
Never leave you coins on an exchange, Binance is an exchange. To have full control over your asset, use noncustodial wallet. Cold wallets are safest wallet type.

Exactly what I wanted to say.

If you value your money, then do not leave it in the hands of someone who is not you. And do not leave it in a wallet, like that of an crypto exchange. Because the reason is that you would not be the only person who has access to that wallet. In the case of crypto exchanges, you are trusting them with your money. This goes against the very nature and concept of cryptocurrency, which is TO BE YOUR OWN BANK.

But people still do it. And they think nothing bad will happen to them until it finally does happen.
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: QUESTION: For Gambling Enthusiasts ❗❗ on: February 02, 2023, 10:18:08 AM
Is PvP gaming a thing?
Is it fun to compete against strangers for money? Does it provide the same level of comfort and convenience as casino games?
I mean, I've seen couple of threads here about some decent PvP games, but I'm not sure if people really do prefer this sort of gaming, specially in terms of the fun and the ROI.

If you are familiar with the PvP gambling topic, which of the following would you pick if you had $10–$100 and felt like gambling?

1. Casino A:
Normal casino where players play Slot games, BlackJack, Rollet, baccarat, Crazy, and the rest of casino games with the chance of winning large chunk of money.

2. Casino B:
PvP casino where players compete against each others in games such as Poker, Rummy, Ludo, 8Pool, Monopoly, Race Cars, Flipcoin, etc..., with the prize being your opponents buy-in amounts.

If you don't want to express your thoughts, simply answer with A or B.

Ok, thought-provoking questions in the gambling subforum today, but I will try my utmost best to give you a clear answer.

As much as I completely adore games where you do not have to play against another human, for example slots, I also very much enjoy playing with other people. Not because I win their money (although the sensation of "schadenfreude" is exciting, when you win their hard earned money), but because at some point, playing alone does start to become a bit lonely.

We are social animals, after all. My vote is for people vs people.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 02, 2023, 01:36:45 AM
ChatGPT is all the rage at the moment. I’ve seen that people are asking it to predict sporting events. Would you leave gambling decisions up to artificial intelligence? Do you see any potential drawbacks for outsourcing your bets to a software program? Has anyone here tried this yet? Do we need someone to put together a thread of ChatGPT predictions to see how accurate they are?  Any other thoughts?

Chatgpt is way too overblown and overexaggerated for absolutely no reason. Sure, ChatGPT is an amazing AI technology which almost could be mistaken for human, the way it sources and does research on anything it is asked, but it is really far from ideal. Any human can do better. This also goes for gambling predictions. I would rather trust my gut feeling and my own research than some AI novelty bot which is slightly more advanced than the other AI bots circulating on the artificial intelligence market.

Not that I believe outcomes in gambling can even be predicted at all...  Roll Eyes
1693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 31, 2023, 09:22:05 PM
Well then, was math discovered or invented?

If you were to completely destroy all books, websites, etc. on mathematics and wipe all memories and knowledge on math from everybody's memories, eventually people would rediscover math. Sure, the symbols, numbers and letters might look different (the number 5 might look like this ->◢) but the axioms (rules of math) would still be the same. 2 apples added to 2 apples will always result in 4 apples.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, is built on the foundations of different technologies. We would first have to invent a computer which works exactly like today's computers work (0s and 1s), then we would have to invent the internet exactly the way it is, and we would have to invent the concept of money exactly the way it is and so on.

If we were to reset all of civilization, who says Bitcoin would be technologically possible or even required (For example in a money-less civilization?)

I see.  So goldkingcoiner does not subscribe to the assertion that bitcoin was discovered.   Angry Angry Angry Angry

Depends on the perspective. We discovered Bitcoin. Satoshi invented Bitcoin.
1694  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 31, 2023, 07:57:02 PM

This reminded me of below meme I saw long back…

“We will never know who invented fire”

“We will never know who invented Bitcoin”

Nobody invented fire. Fire was discovered. It is not an invention but rather a natural phenomenon just like gravity and therefore there is nothing special about itWhich is why Newton died a virgin.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a brilliant invention.

Bitcoin > Fire.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 284: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski on: January 31, 2023, 07:52:38 PM
Size and weight are so relevant in wrestling and grappling departments. That this fight makes no sense in my opinion.

Takedowns would be difficult to defend if Volkanovski were a similar mass and weight to Makhachev. Being at a disadvantage increases the difficulty factor.

The difference in mass is only 5 KG so its not really that much to go on. Does that much weight really make a difference in any sports event? I would say no.

The height on the other hand is quite a gap between them and I think that will be more of an influence on striking power, from a physics standpoint. So my money would be on Volkanovski. Although I do not know much about him and have not yet seen many of his fights yet. I do find it hilarious that the Australian has a more russian-sounding name than the russian boxxer. Grin Tongue

Makhachev might have a couple of years more experience in boxxing but that does not seem to have put his career far above Volkanovskis. Still, Volkanovski has more to gain from this fight. I think that motivation alone will make him fight harder.

Smart money's on the australian boxxer, Volkanovski.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: January 31, 2023, 01:52:12 PM
Does anybody have this experience or this is happening with me. Most of my gambling losses have taken place when I feel lonely.
Today one such incident have taken place. I've kept my last few weeks signature earning aside to meet some medical needs. Today my mother got hospitalised and I'm her attender. She is supposed to take a minor surgery as her vision isn't clear. She's been taken to the Operation Theatre and I was left alone in the room. If anything required the nursing staff would call me. By thos time my mind didn't think about anything. All of the sudden why don't you gamble? and I started and made 0.009BTC close to 0.01BTC and the greed didn't left me. Finally lost all my month's earning kept aside.

Through this I would like to remind be careful when you are alone. If your mind wish to gamble, go for it. But don't consider it as a way to pass your time and keep on wagering. The outcome might hurt, because most of the time loneliness is felt when our mind is in a bad mood. Some enjoy being lonely, but the reality used to be different.

I think the loneliness is really the symptom of something a bit deeper which could be something like depression. And depression itself is just a symptom of a dysfunctional dopamine regulation in one's brain. Gambling really gives you a dopamine rush which makes you really happy for a short while but you need to keep doing it over and over again to retain that dopamine rush. Just like with drugs.

Its better to find the reason why your dopamine is low and fix it instead of relying on short fixes.
1697  Economy / Gambling / Re: PVP Games Lounge launching soon on: January 30, 2023, 03:29:50 PM
I am happy to announce me and my team are developing couple of table games , that will be played versus player and multi player tournaments , a public chat room for players:
more information will be released , we are building it around a Defi Token project for it to get enough publicity for the games platform.

Sounds interesting but your lack of detail leaves a lot out and a bit more information might be nice.

Why exactly does your project need a defi token? How is it going to compliment the entire system?

When you say "table games" I assume one of the very first games you are going to introduce is going to be poker? Are there going to be introductory games? What about bonuses? I think it would be a good idea perhaps if you were to integrate the bitcointalk community more strongly into the community events. That would give you a small starter crowd who will market your project even further.
1698  Economy / Speculation / Do you consider spreading FUD to be unethical? on: January 30, 2023, 12:51:15 PM
We hear it all the time in the news and even here on this forum - Scary price drop speculations based completely on fake/exaggerated news or on something without any kind of substance.

While we can all agree that panic selling is newbie domain, there are also veterans who love spreading Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. These are the people who know from experience that the Bitcoin price will definitely rise, but they can't resist buying discount BTC off of panic sellers.

Bear-whales and smaller traders alike spread FUD for the reason of scaring investors and pushing down the Bitcoin price.

Do you consider this FUD-spreading unethical or do "shaky hands" get what they deserve?

33333 by march 3 hope you agree

Thats the good thing about investing in Bitcoin. No matter how ridiculous someone's price prediction or TA is, you would still profit on buying in on that "signal". As long as you hodl

Digital gold shines bright
Blockchain's power doth shine
Freedom in our hands

Blood bought it's worth, they say
But the cost, lives lost in vain
Freedom's silent cost

Dear God please kill me.

AI has learned to use common sense. Impressive, considering the amount of people who still can't do that.
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 30, 2023, 11:57:48 AM
Hi gamblers, it's a simple question I want to ask...

Remember it is said that, in gambling, the house always wins, I Want us to look at this two scenarios and tell if this are not actually a way to win/beat the house..

Imagine yourself as a new gambler who just joined a casino, played a few dollars and with luck on your side, you win money running into thousands of dollars, will withdrawing your money plus winnings from that casino, never to return there to play again, mean you have beaten that casino?

Secondly, imagine that on your first day of gambling, you gambled $200 and in the process, won money running into hundreds of thousands of dollars, you withdraw the money and start up your own business, and never returned to gambling again, isn't this one way to beat the house?

Ok so what happens if the situation is the other way around? If you go to a casino, played and lost your money. Do you leave and never come back? In that case, would you consider that also winning?

I do not think that planning on being lucky once and then leaving forever is any better than staying and gambling and hoping on staying lucky to keep on winning but if you have already won, then yes, taking the money and leaving would definitely leave you a winner with a profit.

I just do not think its possible to plan for luck, so the situation is hypothetical.
