2341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burning Coins new Marketing Ploy on: November 01, 2022, 08:21:10 PM
It is definitely a sure thing that burning coins on a new thing is a big problem, because they do not worth anything at all, plus the burned ones are always the ones that wasn't in the market anyway.

I mean look at bnb, they burn a lot of coins, right? Should worth more afterwards, but the reality is that the bnb they burn is not the bnb that was on the trading block, it was never causing any price changes, it was on their wallet and not affecting the price anyway, so the difference between them keeping it in a cold storage or burning it didn't really matter at all. I personally hope that it would make some changes and we would see buybacks as a bigger deal instead of burning.
2342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are five things you will do if you win huge amount of money?? on: October 31, 2022, 08:14:40 PM
How huge? I mean if it’s too huge, I may end up just retiring and sleeping at noon every day? Is that possible, are we talking about that much money? At the end of the day, having too large of a money is something that could give you even more money later on, I would still invest it wisely, put like a good chunk of it on bitcoin, some of it on gold, and some of it on stocks and interest on bank.

I cannot really understand why people are not picking that even more often. Starting a business is something I already want to do, I have some ideas, I want to make them reality, and I want to own a business, a website in the crypto world, but I think I am not ready yet, I just don't have the time to run it.
2343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 31, 2022, 07:42:40 PM
Ronaldo once again played, it looks like his move actually did make some changes. I mean he left and because of that he is "left out of the roster" but since that move he has been playing 2 out of 2 games and that’s good. Rashford was the one that scored this time around and that’s very important for Rashford to feel like he is good enough to be the striker of United, he wasn't playing like that and had some sort of confidence issues.

This way they earned the hype of both Ronaldo and Rashford together and they are playing very well as we can see. They have won yet another game and that’s a great thing, because they started terribly and doing great now.
2344  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk Becomes Owner Of Twitter, Immediately Fires CEO And CFO on: October 31, 2022, 06:49:09 PM
It is so sad that people started to use "freedom of speech" as a way of saying things that would be hurtful to others and consider it a freedom of speech. Just because you are free to say it, doesn't mean you should, there are nasty things that you could say to people that would not be acceptable in society, but allowed on twitter which is a weird dilemma.

If a famous celebrity came out and said "women are only good in kitchen, they shouldn't be acting, cook food and have sex with, that's all women are good for" then all of Hollywood would banish that actor and nobody would hire them ever again right? That's a wrong sentence that shouldn't be said right? Well on twitter you are "free" to say it, that's the problem, just because you are free to say it, doesn't mean it's an okay sentence to be tweeted.
2345  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: October 31, 2022, 05:36:39 PM
I can add another one, spend time with successful people so that you can learn from them. Do not do exactly what they do, because they have disposable income and that means they can take more risk than you can, but you can learn the mindset of a rich person.

I know many many rich people who do not have a higher spending monthly than I do, they live a very comfortable life while doing it, but they do not really end up spending a lot at all times. Even Elon Musk doesn't spend "that" much money on regular life, that's what we should aim at. If you do not spend more than 5k per month (which is a lot I know) as a billionaire, then we can spend less as regular people, do not aim at "things", aim at success and spend your money for that.
2346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 30, 2022, 08:05:41 PM
PSG really didn't look like they are losing anything while not focusing on Mpabbe to score, he still scored from a penalty, but they changed it up and play as a team since they have a lot of good players and they became better.

Normally they put Mbappe to striker and then pass to him as much as they can, that is how they started at first, after the contract deal he was considered the most valuable player, but that didn't work out that well, and now they are just passing with each other no matter who has the ball, even if it is not Mbappe/Neymar/Messi trio, they pass to whoever they can, and this team ball managed to get them to score a lot more and play a lot better.
2347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TerraForm Labs Founder Do Kwon faces $57M lawsuit on: October 30, 2022, 07:01:03 PM
Wouldn't be the first project owner to do something wrong and be called to stand. I mean dude was responsible for the losses of hundreds of millions of dollars, he would be charged with something of course.

Even if you do not think that he did it himself, and took the money, you would still understand how he was responsible to prevent something like this to happen and in that case we would be having some sort of situation with the law because if you were supposed to protect the investors money and they all lost it because of you, then you would be charged with something. That's what I would be expecting people to do and he has to face this in order to make it better.
2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie trading believe on: October 30, 2022, 05:43:20 PM
It is not expected to get daily nor weekly nor monthly and even yearly cashouts neither. Some days you will earn a lot of money and you could cash out during that day, some weeks will be amazing during bull period and you could cash out, weeks even months and years could be good that you could cash out. But this is not the rule, it's the exception.

What you have to realize is that we get just one huge bull run type of year per 4 years, that means anything in between is either going down, or going back up to where it was, and not more. That is why even though there are "some" periods like that, it's usually not like that and would not be possible to cash out.
2349  Economy / Economics / Re: friend I want to invest short term in bitcoin and crypto. to meet their living a on: October 30, 2022, 02:45:03 PM
We all have that question of "what could I do to get myself freedom". And this is another question about freedom. You may think that it is about money or investment, but the reality is that it's all about freedom in the end. Because, the question is not really if they could invest into bitcoin for short term and make a living out of it, because making a living out of bitcoin is not directly beneficial to someone unless they have another idea coming right behind it. That idea is that "if I could do that, then I would not have to work, and that means I would be free to do whatever I want in the world with the time we have".

Time is limited for each human, some live for a few minutes and die at birth, some live to be 100+ years old, but we all have a limit to it, and the question here is could we get some of it to us, instead of it belong to our boss. Unfortunately bitcoin is not the answer to this question for short term, maybe a good investment could give you a good freedom in your old age, but not right away, and not every month until you pass away.
2350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple transaction on Metamask on: October 29, 2022, 01:34:53 PM
There is a performance difference with mobile vs pc, I like pc a lot more, it's both easier, and it is also taking a lot quicker with just a few clicks versus mobile which is a bit harder to read for me, or maybe I am just getting older I don't know Cheesy.

Mobile almost everything looks worse to me though, this isn't just about metamask, I rather go to binance on pc too, or go to any place, hell I rather read something on pc than mobile too, I just dislike the size of things on mobile compared to the size of a huge pc monitor. Aside from that there isn't really much difference. I also do not know about multiple sending at the same time but never seen something like that ever before.
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: October 28, 2022, 10:23:19 PM
It will not be possible for streamers to bring it back because this time around it was a little bit more about law and a lot less about what twitch and amazon wanted. The usual thing is if you remove a feature then you are not going to get in trouble if you put it back, maybe the streamers liked that feature and they want it back, or maybe the viewers did, and that way you could put something back in.

But, this time around it’s not just a feature, it's literally a whole segment of it and that means they can't just make it come back that easily because there are laws involved. I believe that it’s a good decision to get rid of it, doesn't really hurt anyone, and helps a ton of people stay away from it.
2352  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exactly did Elon want to buy Twitter? on: October 28, 2022, 08:52:01 PM
As far as I am aware, he wanted to just build a centerpiece for what’s to come. He wants to build something that would be one giant centre for all his future social media or human interaction business, he could have purchased all of facebook which would be facebook+instagram+whatsapp and that would be better for him but he doesn't have that much money.

So, I am assuming that he bought the next thing that he could with the amount of money he has and that’s the reason why he got Twitter. In a few years we are going to see him branching Twitter out to bigger and bigger things and add more stuff to it, and that’s when we will understand why he wanted to buy it so badly.
2353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usage of Blockchain technology on: October 28, 2022, 08:14:40 PM
One thing I am wondering about twitter sale to Elon is this discussion as well. I didn't want to start a whole new topic, but do you guys think that a blockchain technology for twitter could actually work? I mean we are talking about a social currency with how many followers you have, someone with 50k+ followers could turn that into money easily, and someone with millions of followers could definitely turn that into a wealth.

So having twitter based on some blockchain features and making sure it’s both preventing bots but also rewarding people who contribute, could actually be good. People cannot fake their follower count because bots would be prevented, and the real people who follower others will turn out to actually worth something.
2354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nfts are altcoins in pictures on: October 28, 2022, 06:48:31 PM
NFT idea was that it would give someone an ownership, it wasn't about this what we have, it was about real art, and real things that you could have an ownership. To put it simply, when you buy a house, you are given a piece of paper that says that you own it right? Otherwise, how would we know who owns which house? In this situation the house is the art that we buy.

However, if you create 10 thousand different styles of the same ape, and call it art? That’s not acceptable at all. People mistook what NFT was about, what it could do for you, and in return that caused a ton of people to make mistakes as well. I hope that in time that all would be fixed and we will have a better situation.
2355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 28, 2022, 05:54:20 PM
There is still one game left for all clubs, PSG will 100% finish at the top, meaning they will face a second of another group, and looking at the seconds of the groups, unless they face Liverpool they won't have any type of trouble. And even if they face them, Liverpool is not really doing great this season so they may beat them easily too.

It will as always start at quarter finals, usually top 16 doesn't have shocking results, maybe one game could be shocking out of 8, but usually it will be top of the table teams beating the seconds of the groups. However, after that it's unknown what PSG could do, it's going to get worse and we are going to see them not being at their best for sure.
2356  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurs vs Solopreneurs on: October 28, 2022, 05:00:08 PM
Depends on what type of business you are willing to do. Just like OP said, if you are a tiktok influencer, you do not need a team of people helping you out, certainly not when starting out, but do not "need" them later on when you are famous neither, maaaaybe only need it if you are looking to grow exponentially later on.

However, I know a friend who started in the 3d printing world and started printing b2b stuff for companies, and eventually he couldn't grow unless he hired some people and he hired 3 people to help him, one with packaging, one with organization of the work place (3d printers have many materials and such) and one with helping what he did exactly which was 3d printing. If you are in a work like that, you may need to become bigger.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 28, 2022, 03:10:43 PM
Athletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona all looking like they are going to play games that they could win. I am not saying that all three will win but it would be expected result, and a good slip to play them all together to get a good odd.

If you really want to increase it a lot more, Bilbao will be playing Villareal, that's a game that nobody knows who will win, they are very close on talent level and there is a good chance that we could even see a tie. So if you pick one side on that game and put it on the other 3 games, then you could very well have a 10+ odd, even maybe more I don't know. I would wager that is a good week for just one league to be fair.
2358  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices in Germany - Tell me what you want to know on: October 27, 2022, 10:02:52 PM
It’s going to be a big discussion with absolutely no end to a fairly good result, it's just a bit of a time required deal and when enough time passes we are going to see this problem solved too. The problem we have is not oil, it's not food, it's not anything else, it's not being ready for these type of things.

There is no a single country in the world that is self-sufficient in everything, and when something happens they are left with a chaos and a problem and they don't know what to do and do not have an alternative to put forth right away. This is why anytime any problem happens, we just need to wait for governments to fix it, that’s the only solution we have and we have nothing else we can do.
2359  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a secure investment amidst recession on: October 27, 2022, 09:39:40 PM
Considering how amazing bitcoin is and what can be done with it, I have to say it’s definitely something that I would advise fairly a lot. This doesn't mean that it’s going to be very tough, it just means that we are going to see the crashes and that’s going to upset us of course, who wouldn't be upset with the price crashes on their investments, but to know that it is going to be fine is our luxury.

I know that the price crashed, and it is a sad thing, I rather see it 100k today, but I have the big advantage to know that it’s going to be 100k eventually one way or another. That type of feeling is the reason why I suggest people to buy and hold bitcoin at all times.
2360  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think of gold price in long term? on: October 27, 2022, 08:50:42 PM
Gold has always been very valuable in history and will keep valuable in the future as well. I never agreed that it should be this valuable, sure there are things that gold is used for, but the idea of gold being a valuable thing became a bit more known after it was used as gold coins, since it was limited and not everyone could get their hands on it.

These days, there is really nothing backing it up as a valuable thing aside from people’s perception of it, if you are a company that buys iron, copper, or any other material and also gold to build something then it's valuable to you, but as an investment? I never believed it was valuable but the world still does, so it should be going up probably.
