761  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: November 22, 2014, 04:08:34 PM
bump
You really need more training...

And a Public Service Announcement!
If you have ordered from BFL and have not yet received your product, you are entitled to a refund whenever you request one (per FTC rules).
First ask Butterfly Labs for one, they will probably say no but you might get lucky.
If you ordered via PayPal you can file a complaint with them even if you are outside the 45 day window. One customer has already gotten a refund from PayPal that was outside the 45 days.
If you ordered via BTC or Bank wire, you can fill out a complaint with the FTC and they will advocate for you with BFL to get your refund. You can also contact the office of the Kansas Attorney General and inform them that you have had your money taken with no product delivered for months, just more promises.

There are also several threads on how to get a refund from BFL, here are two:

Remember when BCP helped people get refunds?

Technobit.eu not answering customers emails or posts.

The pain continues for some customers. Avoid Technobit.eu people. Too many have failed to heed the warnings.

763  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: November 20, 2014, 03:40:51 PM
Here is exactly what he said:

by BFL_Josh ,6-03-2013, 05:06 PM
I would like to be through the backorder log and shipping out current orders within 90 days. No guarantees there, but I think we should be able to accomplish it.

#END QUOTE#

So his first swing at bat was "backorder log" not pre-order within 90 days of June 3rd (September 3rd) which will be a fail tomorrow.

So as I dissect word for word using your definition, Josh wanted to have all Backorders shipped by September 3rd.

Backorders are everything ordered up until September 3rd or am I twisting words again?
Of has this "A backorder is an order that cannot be currently filled or shipped" changed in meaning since your last posting?

As I am not Josh, I have no idea what he meant in terms of back-order log and current orders.  Since I did not order until Jun 5th, I did not expect my order to fall into that hope.

Since you are kind enough to have quoted it:  He starts with "I would like to be".  I don't see "We will"... do you?

He also mentions "No guarantees there".  But hey, he's given a timeline, it MUST be set in stone.

Right, but if he meant what YOUR definition is then you would expect your unit in September YES?

Listen, I get there are no guarantees in anything Josh says, in fact in my book the answer to the question:
How do you know when Josh is wrong?  Answer:When he communicates with customers.

Unlike others, I don't think he is a liar, I think he is incompetent.

I am just trying to light a fire under this sorry ass company. Do I expect them to even get to April 2013 on all product lines by the end of this month? Hell NO!  By October the stuff they will be delivering will be as close to paperweights as possible.

Time is of the essence despite Josh telling us that they are the only ones shipping stuff we know that is untrue and their products get more worthless with every passing day?
TBH, no, I never expected my order to be filled by Sept.  On Jun 5th, they were shipping Jalapenos from July the year before.  I had already looked at the spreadsheet where many users posted their orders and I knew that Mar/Apr encompassed over 50% of the totals orders including mine.  I mentioned elsewhere that I had sat down and looked at options.  The main question was one of "What can I reasonably afford?".  At that point in time, there were the occasionaly blade auctions for 50BTC, the USB erupters could be had for ~$250 ($400 if you had to use E-Bay) or the Jalapeno.  While I would have loved to get a blade, $6250 was out of my price range, and no one else offerred anything under $1,000.  Between my 2 choices, I saw $24 more for 15x the output and an interminable wait vs replacing my GPU for about the same cost but with much less power usage.

The problem here is that the more time that goes by, the more people's eyes are opened.  No one last Jun predicted what would happen to the network speed from all the orders that were placed.  I however did have a fairly clear picture when I made my purchase.  If you look at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=114329.msg2796548#msg2796548 you will see that even back in July I was already commenting on how people had their eyes closed to the increase.  "potential profit" is such BS... So many people saw their little ASIC as being the only on that would be on the network and blinded themselves to the truth.

Now, today is a slightly different story.  With all of the concerns going, there is a tsunami coming and the current network difficulty will be swept away leaving people round eyed and shaking.  At this point in time, BFL's past problems are being magnified and more people are upset.  Yet, through all the abuse and hatred and vitriol, they are still there sending out product as fast as they can put it together.

Yep, they sucked at their supply chain and they sucked at efficiently getting their product to market.  But they never quit and they never walked away.

No they just mined customers equipment and lied about it. You started working for them and lied about it as well.
764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: November 20, 2014, 03:33:26 PM
Bick... you're too hung up on asking about things I am not involved in, I'm not exactly on the board of directors nor am I an engineer working on the designs, so how could I know the answers to your questions?

How would you know?

Maybe because you were working there?

Liar.
765  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's Moderated Biased & Opinionated Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: November 16, 2014, 08:28:09 AM
BFL is certainly in good company being mentioned with Shavers who has already been ordered by a federal court in Texas to give up more than $40 million and pay a $150,000 penalty in a related civil case.

If you don't have free electricity it's only 1 choice. Buy Bitcoins instead miners. Even with electricity at 0,1$/kWh and difficuty jump at 5% S4 will no ROI.

Pretty much ^this  Undecided

Second that advice. Unless you have millions of dollars to invest and free electricity.

768  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitCrane Announces 7.2Th/s Miner on: November 12, 2014, 02:46:34 PM
So how thik is this, 3u?

Each half unit is 7.4U, so 15U for 7.2TH.

Thanks for clarifying.. so 3U per unit, plus 1.4U for the racking and controller?

Hosting costs will be a nightmare unless they can host it for free themselves..

Hell shipping costs are going to be enormous!

+1

Nothing to see here. Train wreck. New or premined units? That is a fair question to ask given how LATE these are compared to other offerings something just doesn't smell right. Seems to be desperate ploy to dump either old hardware or weak large inefficient miners to the community. Avoid it.

Golden Nonce ASIC | HashFast

Really? Not sure that is a good sign. Who runs Bitcrane?

new SP20 price! $795
with discount code and shipping of 2 units (3.4TH): 4.5 BTC

7* bitmain S3+ units (3.4 TH) with coupons and shipping this week = 4.7 BTC
4* Bitmain C1 (4TH) with watercooling and shipping this week = 5.3 BTC   (4.64 for 3.5TH)

wrong math

1x SP20 price! $795+shipping   1700GH/s
2x C1 price   $800+shipping    2000GH/s

Which one is more GH/s ?

Which one requires extra components not mentioned in the price?

Both require a PSU,  2x C1 need 2 liter distilled water+200ml antifreeze. And C1  is silent.

But I look forward to Antminer S5, which goes on sale 15 November

Don't the C1 need pumps and radiators as well?

Shipped separately ordered separately from another company... costs?

Quote
C1 Batch2 opens sale now, Cooling Kits are included Smiley

SP20 plug and play vs the C1 and cheaper when all costs factored in.

Notice some issues with people and the coolant leaking and issues with failed pumps.

Issue for SP20... noisy?

771  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: XBTec Announce. New ASIC manufacturer. on: November 11, 2014, 03:02:21 PM
If this is untrue they could easily be sued for libel/slander or who knows what else. Either case is easy to prove.  someone should be suing someone unless they are cooperating in some way.

You don't sue if there is no chance of collection, and/or the damages don't exceed the costs of bringing action.

You sue or report to the authorities to stop fraud. That is what the system is for. Best way to RECOUP you cash?

READ BEFORE YOU BUY. Any hint of fraud... run. There are well known sellers that have items in stock. Buy there if at all.
772  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 11, 2014, 12:44:55 PM
The only thing I don't understand is your role in all of this. The only rational conclusion which lends itself to making sense is that you were "in on the scheme" and the disruption by the bankruptcy deprived you of a source of income. Anything else would suggest that you're suffering from the Stockholm syndrome.

+1 Disgruntled shill who is angry he didn't paid his "fair" market rate. So he comes on here trying to extract pain and hurt from anyone that helped upset the apple cart. Too bad there wasn't a criminal prosecution and all the documents / communications were revealed his contract with HF would be laid out for all to see then.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: HashEngineering - Android Wallet Creation Service on: November 11, 2014, 06:02:53 AM
I'm looking for an android wallet developer, but OP seems to have retired.

I am very selective about what coins I do apps for at this time.  I have made something like 7 apps and they do require a lot of time and then later updates based on how the coin developers modifiy the coin to try to handle various attacks or shortcomings.  Myriadcoin had three forks in the past two weeks.  That took come time to translate and debug.

The wallets that I updated recently include Darkcoin, digitalcoin and Myriad.  While those are active, other coins such as Franko and Infinitecoin seem to have died.  For instance the Franko app doesn't connect to any peers and is useless.  Megacoin still works and Quark does too.

I have a preference to work on established coins (they have been around for 6 months).  If the price is right, then I may be willing to add another coin app to my list.  3 or more BTC is where the price is right.

FRC / Freicoin is keen on a wallet.

We will contact you soon.
774  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: November 09, 2014, 05:09:31 AM
Still waiting on Monarchs?

Here is hoping FTC allows refunds soon.
775  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC is bogus on: November 08, 2014, 04:13:00 PM
<snip>

They have a solid case.

They will reimburse whatever they recently got control of.

Sonny V. broke probation and is going to go to Jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200 bucks.

I think you might not realize the depth of the fraud and the potential for the IRS and FBI to be involved. The FTC is just the start.
776  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 08, 2014, 12:48:06 PM

I am not buying miners to earn BTC or ROI and cloud mining is useless as an educational tool for my school. I am not personally buying any unprofitable cloud mining you have me confused with someone else obviously or didn't read my post all the way through. I am pretty certain you don't have all the numbers for larger shipments per kg that SPTech might have for large palette shipping but again I am not going to be buying millions of dollars of miners am I. I suspect again your current AMHash with current tech is not going to be profitable even for AM to run much longer. AMHash may want to order something in 2015 that out performs AM stuff so you can call SPTech then.
777  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: November 08, 2014, 08:48:38 AM
Josh, if you get sent to a colorado prison, then I'll visit you within two weeks.  Cool

hell rent a 'tour bus' and charge.....you'd prob get a lot of us to pony up for that trip (I can see it now about 9 tour buses...chugging down
the highway all chanting as they go down the road "any time now" and soon TM BFL....etc man what a bunch of happy drunks that would be....

(i get all misty eyed just thinking about such a 'road trip')

You would think there would be a chance for those impacted (scammed by BFL) would get to have a day in court before sentencing to make statements?

That be a good thing to get organized for.
778  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: November 08, 2014, 08:46:29 AM
You're going to have a long wait...

That's not very funny. You can do better than that. Oh, I turned you in to the SEC too for the pool and exchanging bitcoins into cash to pay for the cost of the mining equipment you sold. That made you an exchange you dumbass and they agreed. ROFL

Huh good thing that never happened then. I wonder if there is any penalty for lying to the Sec. Guess you will find out. He sure to let me know.

Sorry sweetheart but I copied the threads where you admitted that you couldn't refund people bitcoins when the price went up because you exchanged them to dollars. You're fucked. LOL

Lie much?

I've been following this off and on for a few years, and am really starting to feel sorry for you.  I say this without any malice - you are clearly very sick and in need of psychiatric help.  I'm not sure what quality of help you will get in prison, so I urge you to seek professional help now, while you can choose for yourself, before you are locked up and only have the prison psychiatrist to help you.    With a lot of work, I think there is a chance for you to be restored as functioning member of society.  But you do need help - that's obvious for all to see.

Psychopathy, along with borderline personality disorder and malignant narcissism, is an incurable personality disorder.

Does this sound like Josh Zerlan? Yes, yes it does.

Psychopaths are Losers who view themselves as Leaders. As we’ve seen, unless there’s a specific advantage for him, a psychopath never admits to being wrong, to doing wrong, to having wronged anyone.

780  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 08, 2014, 08:05:38 AM
Bick I honestly think it's time for you to admit that estimated specs are bullshit.

The only thing they are good for is giving investors hope and intimidating the competition.

Quoted for future reference.

I have no doubt they believe they can reach those numbers.

I have not seen once in these forums or in their media releases any attempt other than to challenge the competition to keep pace with them. What you see as a ploy I see as supreme confidence in a team. Having met a number of these people don't kid yourself on that these people are a solid professional team. They work at being a team all the time and it shows.

If you feel threatened as a shareholder of AM stock ok that is fine I have no money in SPTech or AM at this point. Given the economies of scale required I doubt I will be buying any hardware unless it is for use at our school on altcoins as part of our ICT curriculum we have. Given the mess with AM currently you should be more worried about what they are promising given SPTech has been pretty much spot on with most of the design and delivery of their products.

It is time to admit they rarely if ever have failed to make their customers happy. That has nothing to do with what is possible or probable chip design wise but SPTech is very very careful to craft their message in order to not fail at the critical moment and even the time they did miss their numbers they compensated their customers proactively. As one of those customers I was happy to receive the unit even though it didn't hit the numbers it certainly mined well, retained its value right up until it was sold and I came out on top even when BTC was plummeting to sub 400. As a consumer I can't be any happier than that really. Now look at AM threads? Are you really flinging shit here and not there? Seriously.

Now we are not talking home miners anymore. We are talking larger scale outfits with massive needs. Who would you want? I think that question gets answered pretty fast after you meet Guy and his team. As well that is why you see teams like Bitmaintech or Asicminer and especially BitFury starting to take a more serious approach to building a team that can win not just survive. Right now SPTech has the better team all around.

One other glaring aspect is the fact that of the big four SPTech is the only one not playing with larger mining operations or cloud mining as part of their portfolio. That has implications as they have less exposure to the issues of large scale farms as an investment and a much more defined focus on product and design alone. I really think many are going to opt for SPTech over those who are in direct competition with them for ever decreasing btc from mining. I think they have a significant advantage over everyone else since they are only supporting the build of a customers mining operation. There is no direct competition unlike BitFury, Bitmaintech, KnC or Asicminer or Rockminer that impact their potential industrial clients bottom line when mining.
