861  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you Spending Money the Wrong Way in Pursuit of Happiness? on: May 14, 2023, 08:54:02 PM
I'd say if spending money doesn't make you happy maybe you're all spending it wrongly, even though all the advices above seems good, but I think important what makes one happy isn't necessarily coming from textbook advices like this. Just spend whatever you want, one might be happy enough when they can buy some good cars, not necessarily need good experience, everyone differ to each other.
someone else might also be happy by spending their money for buying luxury goods, it's all relative. but what matters most is that, an individual will be really happy when they got their basic needs settled. it's the most important thing, then the other thing comes after that.

I agree with you that what gives  people happiness is relative, because our likings are different. Spending to see other people's happy is good, but another person's happiness may come from clubbing and care free life style. I think that a set of rules can not define true happiness for everyone. Different believes determines true happiness for people, and also what gives them true happiness in spending their money.

So long you know that you are genuinely happy with what you are doing, that's what matters most.
Because as you said, each of us have different likings in life and that for sure, we have our own source of happiness.
Just respect each other and don't judge other people for what they want in life. Mind your own business in short.
As long as you have peace of mind with what you have, and you are contented with your life, then you don't need to bother with other things.
We have our own time of realizing what's important and what's not. Don't shove it to others about what you have learned, let their time comes on that regard.
862  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ NowDice.com 🎲 Low House Edge 🎲 NO KYC! 💰 Jackpot 💰 on: May 14, 2023, 08:24:22 PM

If we dont really get any response from them even they did have logged in or being online on 12th and now is already 15th or even just basing on the date on when this thread had been created then it is really just

that good as dead.Yes, we are might really that conclusive or really that harsh on making out some assumptions that this business wont really be getting any users but it would really be just that common sense that they would really be ending up that way if they wont really be listening into users suggestions and recommendations of this forum. Also using up some fake players or bots which chatting up on the site
doesnt really look good at all.

How much more for people to believe that those bets or roll history would be legit? Whats the guarantee or sureness that those are legit ones too? This is the hard thing to have on which
getting the trust of the public specially if they have seen that even on faking up chats or bots on that chatbox is already that a solid thing to tell that this site isnt
really that trustable at all.

If they won't answer or show interest that they do care about the users here in the forum, it is their loss anyway.
Because if you are a forum user, you should know which casino is worth spending your money.
Because if you are seeing some red flags, it is your fault if you still deposit to play with them.
Up until now, we can see that they are seemingly using bots in their chat room so maybe also with the bets.
There are many reputable dice sites that you can play with, so I don't think it would be smart to play on a new one with no strong credibility to offer yet.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another side of Sports betting you may not know about on: May 14, 2023, 07:53:03 PM
I think most leagues do not care if their players make some sport bets on a sport different than the one they compete, however as soon as they make some bets on the same games or the same league then this can affect the confidence of the fans on the games, and without that trust then the whole thing comes crashing down, so in my opinion it makes sense that leagues around the world are at least very strict when it comes to any behavior which may incite any form of match fixing among their players.
I wonder how would team management know if a player has actually placed a bet on the match they are participating in since they can always do it anonymously, especially in such times when many cryptocurrency sports betting platforms let you place bets without any inquiries if the bet amount isn't too high and some even allow bigger bets since they don't ask for KYC.

And they would obviously not care if a player is generally gambling and placing bets on another sport or even on the same sport but on a different team, that shouldn't be a violation since they cannot have any influence on those matches.

I believe that's already happening. If the athlete is very discreet with his gambling activities.
We can't say that they are not totally participating as we don't know them what they are doing 24/7.
They can easily place bets by letting his friends, family or other close friends to do such betting for them.
So we can't say they are not doing it because there are so many options how to execute it silently.
So long they are not fixing the game to favor their bets, and just let the game flow in natural way, I think there won't be any problem.
864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 13, 2023, 09:56:54 PM
Fillipus Nghitumbwa is 27 years old and has good potential, he is a rough diamond that if he is well polished can go very far

Yes he is, Casimero threw everything but the kitchen sink there were rounds where Casimero stops throwing punches because he couldn't figure out what combination of punches should he throw to knock Nghitumbwa out, Casimero resorted to holding in the latter rounds because of fatigue.
What we've seen here is  Nghitumbwa  is a tough guy who can take a punch and Casimero should have more tune fights before fighting for a world title he is out of the ring for too long before this fight so there was little bit of rust and fatigue easily caught up with him.
Casimero still managed to win though, I guess that moment when Casimero stop throwing punches saved him from this much, I agree that this is a total different fight from Casimero, but the result is still a win. He might be old already and that makes him slower but i think there’s still chance for him, he just need to train more and be active again. Fillipus is also a good boxer but its not enough to stay longer, he should have a better strategy.

And that is what matters here, Casimero getting the belt because of his past hullabaloos.
Now, to prove he has still something to offer in this sports, he should excel in his upcoming fights.
Because reviving his popularity in this sports is no easy task, it should show from the results of his fights.
He's only 34 years old, he has still good number of years in this sports. But should lessen the issues like weight issues and all.
But should seriously train and comply with every requirement so as not to delay or pause his soon-to-be fights.
For Filipus, he can still continue his boxing career, this is just one hurdle in his career, he can very well get another belt.
865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding the Basics of Trading in the Cryptocurrency Market on: May 13, 2023, 09:34:32 PM
Easy to say all those things, hard to execute it. Just understanding the market won't help you become a good trader. You need to trade and that's how you gain your experiences. You will make mistakes, but you should learn from the mistakes instead of giving up. Yeah, strategies can help like you said, but there are no "golden" strategy that will help you make guaranteed profits. But yes, it can help you control your losses. As for choosing the right exchange, there are no "perfect" exchanges. All of them are vulnerable to hacks and you should never store your coins there.
Experience is very important and not just theory. if you only rely on theory but very minimal practice, it will not provide any experience.

I myself even experienced many mistakes but thanks to it all I started to learn so that I would not be trapped again in the same mistakes.
and besides that, psychology will also be better trained. beginners' psychology is still very vulnerable to being too panicky and unstable.

The best strategies are created from good trading knowledge as well. Technical analysis and fundamentals are the main foundation.
If you have not mastered these two foundations, you will not create a strategy that is suitable for yourself.

Experience will indeed give you such techniques and strategies that are not found in the books.
But if you are just starting, use small amount of money to test something so you won't get screwed big time.
Though it is good to have knowledge about TAs, it is important that you understand that those knowledge won't be your savior in your most trading activities.
Also, when it comes to specific coins, the best way to understand their developments is to subscribe their social media channels because that where you will get hints on what they are doing with their project.
Most projects are not publishing their updates via their website or threads in this forum, they are more on social media channels now.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: May 13, 2023, 09:05:02 PM
I think this is also one of limitation of bitcoin that we need internet to use it.

There are many great responses here detailing alternative routes you can take to still use and access Bitcoin, that is true. But, there are also comments here that are very cavalier in their responses as if loss of internet services across the country is not much of a problem and can be solved easily. As if it can be easily solved by protesting a strict regime, or bypassing access when there is political and military unrest in your country. Internet, if not easily accessible, will always be a limitation if it comes to availing and using cryptocurrency.

Stay safe, brother.

There may be alternative routes as suggested above, but if a person doesn't have much, he won't afford such route.
I can say, internet will indeed hinder the use of crypto especially for a country which has limitations on this aspect.
But as mentioned in early post, Starlink is covering their services in Pakistan already, but need to check out their rates.
Because in my country, the rates from Starlink is not very affordable, so I will stick to my current net provider.
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: May 13, 2023, 08:30:51 PM

I mostly agree on your post. But if we want to have a free and fair society where all people have the same rights, then it would not be fair for politicians to be forbidden to gamble.

I am okey with them doing whatever they want with their own money that they have earned through their job as politicians, however, they should be closely audited and in case some of them show any signal of becoming a person with addiction for gambling they should be isolated from the public treasury immediately and their political power, so they would not be able to abuse it to get more money to gamble.

Gambling is a question of civil liberties, in my humble opinion.
I agree, but if they are already audited and no anomaly has seen, they are clean and don't have bad thing with regards to their taxes I think there's no problem at that I just needed to be sure that the person who will make an audit to them is proven fair and doesn't have any past accusations as well there are many people in our government who has a hidden wealth in gambling that's one of the problem in our government.

That is the dilemma in the situation, we don't know how the people involve will be honest about their jobs.
Because if you are in a corrupt country, those who will audit can be bribe and report only what they want to see by the public.
They will resort to the under the table practice because they want to earn money also for themselves.
As much as possible, politicians should not dip their hands on gambling. Just to eradicate the thought of fraudulent transactions happening during their term.
Some of them have ulterior motives why they go in politics and at the same time in gambling, to protect their personal interests.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: May 12, 2023, 09:45:45 PM
Chat GPT was not created for gambling. Perhaps in the future the AI will be able to beat humans at poker. For example right now machines play chess better than humans. In chess, the AI can calculate combinations of moves. Gambling is quite the other thing. I think in the future humans will teach AI to calculate mathematically the best moves in poker.

Chat GPT can only teach how to play poker, but nothing more.
You are correct and I completely agree with you, the current version of ChatGPT can't be used for anything relating to gambling, except asking and finding answers to some simple gambling questions and terms.

And personal though, I have not envisioned a future where Ai will play poker, or any other gambling games more than humans, if this ever happens, I think could end up as a threat to casinos, since some gamblers could use it to abuse the casino.

But before gamblers will use it to their games, the casino itself would have done some restrictions already.
They would not permit the use of AI in their system because that will surely ruin their business.
For now, ChatGPT has their limitations, as you said, only for asking and finding answers, not really to deploy it to your gambling activities.
If players are fast in discovering their potential capabilities, don't underestimate the casino owners because they are also on the lookout of these developments.
869  Economy / Speculation / Re: High tx fee has historically marked the sell-off. Is this time different?? on: May 12, 2023, 09:14:10 PM
I'm tempted to say that the time is different with what happened in the past and now with the high fees and the number of bitcoin active enthusiast and the number of altcoins and stablecoins that can stand in the gap for bitcoin and hodl price above $20,000 but again I'm looking at another bitcoin season, the season of halving and the year preciding halving. Just thinking about what it is  Grin

I believe the major difference is the number of people in crypto as compared to before. That's true.
Even if there's a pattern that we can refer to, we still have no guarantee that such trend will truly happen.
And after like a couple of weeks, seems that the mempool is going down now with tx fees.
So before another important event comes to btc market, we can always stash more if you think there will be good things that will happen eventually.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long the high transaction fees will last? on: May 11, 2023, 09:50:00 PM
The problem is that we don't really know how long this high transaction fee is going to take but we all know that yhisnhad happened before we should be affirmative that this will reduce in no time. The high network fee in the Bitcoin network had been making a lit of traders and investors that always run Bitcoin transaction on a daily basis to start having a rethink of what could be an alternative for this high fee network. So exchanges had stopped running Bitcoin transaction just because of this high fee issues which I am certain that it will end soon.
^Definitely right and that is the right answer.
We can't predict exactly how long these high fees will last, but I think this BTC has experienced similar situations in the past and has eventually come out on the other side. The same goes for the price of BTC you cannot predict it in the market situation. But as far as I remember, it could be less than a week, look at now the mempool.space, the fee was falling down.

Yes, checking today, the fees even for high priority has gone down so much already.
So just check the mempool before you send your transaction so you know how much you need to put as a fee to make it thru.
As we are just relying from these miners, we can only watch the mempool to see where we are now in terms of tx fees.
For now, it is better than the past few days. Hope we will go back again to the usual fees in the coming days.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sending bank statement for verification on: May 11, 2023, 09:23:15 PM
i registered at an online casino and my deposit was not arrived(in casiono) and i contact to their support and they said you need to wait for 10 business days for your refund.

10days are completed and i still didn't received my refund, and they told that "if you don't receive your refund in 10 days then you can contact us with your bank statement"

my question is, is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?

The bank statement is obviously for the purpose of proof that you send the said amount.  Obviously they wanted to check if your bank were debited of the said amount.  If you think you can compromise your bank account data for the amount deposited and that you trust the casino then comply.  I believe you cannot blur important details here since they will know your bank account number either way.

Don't know why they'd need a bank statement. Are you sending bitcoin from or to a bank?

In a situation where a client sends cryptocurrency to a casino and withdraws only cryptocurrency back to a wallet, there's no need to ask for a bank statement. Furthermore, a person using crypto may not even have a bank account. In many countries people are unbanked. They receive cash from their employer and use it to pay their bills and buy food, but they can have a phone with a crypto wallet that can be used to gamble.

I'd tell the casino that I demand my money back and will provide the normal KYC documents like a selfie with an ID, but will not give them any bank statements because I don't own a bank account. Do that and see what they come up with Cheesy

I do not think that @OP is sending a cryptocurrency fund.  It is obvious that it is a bank transfer.

The OP should have read the terms of the casino before sending his money.
If the site is reputable and is well-known in the community, then, comply what they are asking.
Maybe, he deposited via bank transfer, hence, asking the banking statement.
If not, doubt their motive. He can drop the name of the site and maybe people from here can assist.
Is the deposit amount large enough why it was flag down, and taking too long to resolve this matter?
Hope the OP can give us more details to shed the light what is really goin on with his case.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: May 10, 2023, 09:48:21 PM
For Vincent Astrolabio this fight is not really that hard because he used to fight that kind of style of opponent all the time and also a good exposure for him since Moloney is a worthy opponent to give his all. He needs to put on a show here because this is his chance to shine and might be the best way to train harder to beat Moloney.

Pilipino boxers are always known for upsetting their opponents being an underdog and this one is no exception only in Vincent Astrolabio will gonna work harder in his training because if it's not, he will be the one to lose this fight.

Actually, I didn't know that Vincent Astrolabio is a Filipino until you mentioned it in your comment. Well, at first, I believed that Maloney is the better boxer, but I'm going to be biased here and root for Vincent Astrolabio to win.

Astrolabio may be the underdog, but he is only a slight underdog since, based on the betting odds, he has a 2.08 odds of winning while Moloney has 1.72 odds.

We might have to admit it, Moloney on the record is the better boxer here, but as we can Astrolabio is slowly getting on that level. And he wouldn't be in this position if he hasn't had that inside of him, winning against tougher opponents to put him in the second rank behind Moloney.

Thanks for the odds, so yes, it's just slight advantage for Moloney and for me, still a 50/50 fight and Vincent regardless of the odds could pull another upset and may become a champion, just saying. I might be biased, but I will put my money on Vincent here as he is a good and live underdog.

The odds are actually not that far from each other. So it means, the bookies are considering the skills of Astrolabio.
Because if Moloney is highly considered as the favorite, the odds will be like 1.0x, 1.1 or 1.2x odds.
In any case, we will see the real action in couple of days and see if Astro really has something to offer.
Remember, he is a Filipino boxer, and Filipino boxers are known to be one of the toughest inside the ring.
873  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: May 10, 2023, 09:21:05 PM
Lately we have seen a lot of online casinos that are considering themselves as Web3.0 but in reality it’s just a name, they don’t over a real Decentralized experience for players.
So i want to know from you what’s are all the features an online casino should have to be considered as web3.0 casino?

Lately  web3  has become so popular  and already making waves but to me especially  in gambling,  I don't see any web3 project as being realistic because they only end up with some shitty craps without any form of decentralization which is the main purpose  of web3 and I believe that web3 gambling  should be working in a web3 technology  which might require very high internet  and individuals  wouldn't be getting that easily  without having to lias with the government and I believe  that the government  might even make things hard that they will have to bend to its terms.

Governments are cracking down scam gambling sites so don't know to what extent this web 3.0 casino can operate.
If crypto gambling sites are applying for their license, how can a web 3.0 get their license as they are decentralized?
So basically, you are playing on a non-licensed casino and you don't know where to go to if something big goes wrong.
This is why a lot of gamblers still prefer to play on a kyc-casino because they can easily get the support from their troubles.
And maybe this is the reason why most old decentralized casinos didn't survive, remember there were casinos like that in the old days.
874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Place to buy Physical Gold on: May 10, 2023, 08:48:04 PM
For your privacy and safety reasons, it is better to buy gold bars on physical stores. We may not be from the same country, so my answers may also not be accurate if I give some locations of where you can buy it.

There are tokenized gold. The one that I know of is PAXG. It has a marketcap of $534,238,220 and a good trading volume. Maybe you can buy some of this also. If you have high amount of money, I will recommend you to buy real gold and little of this tokenized gold.
PAXG huh? Something else to research. I would initially be concerned about the peg and the longevity of the Paxos company. It is pegged to gold and represents gold ownership........Till its not. I'll have to research. Buying physical gold sounds like a pain in the butt, and we cant trust paper gold ownership (ETF's, Certificates etc). Sigh, I figure something out. Thanks all.

I would not suggest buying tokenized gold. That is true, you have no idea about their lifespan.
Once they are gone, you're screwed and your gold token is gone as well.
Better buy actual gold, like in the form of jewelry as it is safer and handy as compared to gold bullions.
You can easily buy it from pawnshops near you, and you will know their reputation also. So you know if they are legit or not.
You can buy from 14k,18k, 21k - depending on your preference here. There is marking on the jewelry to see if they are authentic.
For me, this is the best and cheapest option to buy physical gold. You don't need to involve anyone to buy one.
875  Economy / Economics / Re: Looking for online investment method for 50$ daily on: May 09, 2023, 09:58:12 PM
Trading itself gives you fifty dollars daily,if you had invested the capital of 5k dollars.Because the money which going to invested must be the high capital,So that we can do some profit from any part of the invested coins.Because not all the coin will be green at the time, mostly based on the bitcoin price movement. When the price of bitcoin will pump on a day, mostly the seventy percentage of altcoin price will be green. This also applicable to the red market. So we can do of profit easily with of 50 dollars daily with the margin trading with the minimum capital of 5k dollars. The 50 dollars is just one percentage of the 5k dollars will be easy to get even with the less trading experience  traders.

That means, it depends on how much you will put as initial investments.
$50 is easy if you do have good money to start with and you already know the drill in the trading market.
But if you are just in the starting mode, the likelihood of losing such amount is high.
For now, hard to find an online investment that will give you passive income.
For most platforms offering such return, it may give you in the early days but later on, they won't give you anything anymore.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer Original Slots or slots from 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 09, 2023, 09:04:34 PM
My question is this, which one of the two do you prefer and why do you like it more than the other. (Original vs 3rd Party Slots)
I haven't tried playing with the original party slots so far and have mostly played the 3rd party.
Previously, there was curiosity to try the original, but because some friends suggested that they were really hard to win, I gave up my intention to try it, so the choice remained to play slots at several providers in the casino.
After all, I consider the 3rd provider's slots in the casino to be all the same and as long as there is no suspicion of manipulation, I will still like them as long as I am in the gambling industry.

I think most of us have played slots from their 3rd party providers one way or another.
But when you try to play with the original slots, it is somehow refreshing with your eyes as it is not the usual environment of slots.
I played in some of these original slots just for a change. But of course, the results is the same if you won't stop playing.
Both are luck-based games no matter what, so at the end of the day, it is on you how you will control yourself from losing all your funds from this game.
877  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW Flush.com Crypto Casino - ♠️ $BTC ♦️ $ETH ♣️ $DOGE ♥️ $LTC on: May 08, 2023, 06:48:21 PM
Nice to see the first slot tournaments being organised by a casino flush is one of the first cryptocurrency casinos to have introduced this new development and I am sure with the right community engagement in this promo flush will gain a lot of recognition and attract new potential slot players who will want to try out the luck and taking part in the tournaments.

Poker games have been the most used game for tournaments here in the forum, and ops can follow up with the mechanism used to organise that past poker tournament.

I agree that most tournaments that we have seen here are with poker games, not like with classic games like slots.
If the team is good in spreading this word, a lot will participate on this tournament.
And the requirement is really quite easy. This may probably attract new players on the site.
So they should not only announce it via one post but try to post it in other channels so more gamblers will see such contest.
This is like a whole-year round tournament so let's see if they can still increase the total expected prize pool since a lot can qualify on this contest.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Was the Only Cryptocurrency? on: May 08, 2023, 02:33:13 PM
Bitcoin is unique on its own but having alternative cryptocurrency alongside in existence with Bitcoin makes the space more fun, hence People will easily get bored with trading Bitcoin during those period when the price of Bitcoin is stucked in a particular place or during a ranging market, but having other coins in existence have shiftef traders attention into trading those coin until Bitcoin volatility is back.
As it's been said variety is the spice of life,  I prefer seeing the space the way it is right now than having only Bitcoin in existence. To sum it all, it's in you to choose wisely the best cryptos out there to invest.

Also, do remember that you will appreciate the importance of one currency if you can compare it with others.
Without some sort of comparison, you won't distinguish why people will prefer it over the others.
Aside from that, if it is the only crypto, people may possibly just ignore its existence, who knows?
Just an example is US Dollar, with the presence of other fiat currencies, you would understand why people are treating USD over the others.
And when it comes to crypto, BTC is like the USD among fiat currencies. So just think about it how btc plays the role in the crypto market.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 08, 2023, 12:27:20 PM
Because I'm a small gambler when I want to bet an amount of around $ 10-20 if using BTC it's really not enough and temporarily move to USDT to keep gambling.
Not sure when the transaction fee will go down but in order to keep betting I'm looking for a solution by using another coin and I'm sure some people here also choose to use another coin that has low transaction fees.[/left]

Use BUSD, XRP and Doge if you really want a low transaction in your deposit. Most of the casino only supports TRC20 and ERC20 USDT which charge you a fee a minimum of 2$ while the token that I mention on charge few cents with same seamless transaction.

I’m already having fun using Bitcoin on gambling since the fee before the ordinals became popular is very cheap but now I think we have no choice than to look for alternative. I hope casino will find a way to implement a built-in exchange for those user that use Bitcoin as currency.
There are actually many options when the costs involved in making bitcoin transactions are enormous. As you said some of the coins you mentioned. Not only for gambling, but everyone will think twice about transactions using bitcoins when they have to pay such high transaction fees, especially if we only have a small amount of bitcoins, don't let the amount of bitcoins we will deposit be less than the transaction fees charged. we have to take it out. lol

I believe the problem itself is the bitcoin network, based from the OP, his bitcoin is coming from his electrum wallet.
There's no problem if you are using other wallets supporting other cheaper networks like Tron or BSC.
With the case of the OP, just lay low for a bit and wait for the fees to go down because there are indeed instances that are quite expensive.
But if you happen to deposit from other wallets supporting other networks, then, take advantage of it. Compare their fees and see if it will help you.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] |SOROS| 👨🏻‍🚀 New blockchain PRESALE!!! 🌐 on: May 08, 2023, 11:13:57 AM

🔥 THE PRESALE NOW IS LIVE! 😬
This is your opportunity to support a real and tangible project.

The new Blockchain for knowledge and developers.

LITEPAPER v1.0

Just a quick question here - if you haven't collected enough money from your presale
or other sale events, do you have your own funds to continue this project?
Because that is usually the bottleneck of new projects. If they can't collect from crowdsourcing activities,
the project will slowly die down and won't materialize. And that's the dilemma of most investors.
They don't want their investment to go to waste. So how can you convince them to buy in your presale?
