You use ION to buy ingame upgrades and stuff, like medpacks/lives, possibly unlock worlds. I know sometime ago the plan was also to start tournaments and stuff, but may be only future games. This is second hand info though, as I dont have access to the game or any direct information other than github and website. Dont pin me down on it ;-)

Games have enough trouble getting people to click "buy lives" on a game when it is hooked up to an account that has a credit card on file.

How much work it would take to get a random person who finds the game via an app store to be able to purchase ions to use to buy lives?

Thru payment gateways that should be quite easy, but as suchmoon noticed sometime back the TOS regulations could prevent this type of indication. Team ION indicated they've sold the problem, but still unclear how.

There's none. Ionomy has become very private in development and coding, which is the main reason I bailed out for now. Cause may be related with the critism for example here. So I don't know if this may change after the game release.

Well, I am not involved in any of this so I can't give you a definitive answer, but i heard we'll still have to wait some time until we'll see on electron-market (which are not on blockchain btw, so unlimited and 'free' to 'generate', which indeed could be to fullfill the TOS requirement...).

Ahh, I've finally figured out why the 24H Volume number on the exchange doesn't actually represent the amount of coins traded in the last 24 hours.

For my bug bounty I would like an ion dev promise that they will burn the remaining xpy that they are supposed to in exchange for the info.

i will test it in the morning to see how bad the information listed on their website (and passed along by shills) can be.

Although I'm sure that people that can't make the 24 hour volume on their market accurately list the 24 hour volume of their exchange will be able to bring in tons of new people to the world of ion via a bug free/issue free game and experience.

I am really interested what will come out in the next week. I kind of gave up on communication, q&a and transparency, but none the less if the api is going to be super awesome plus platform orientated (instead of game dev) i might hop back on. Ill sit it out from the side- lines :-)

True, volume is negligible just as one might expect so no big news here, but Phildo's point about the 24h numbers being wrong is relevant I think. If ionomy can't do simple math on their own exchange then your expectations of a super awesome API might be slightly misplaced

No, no importance, as most of my posts.

Just like the fact that Matlack was stupid enough for Garza's lies doesn't mean he's too stupid to this, I'm sure the fact that they are unable to code an exchange that can accurately report the 24 hour volume on the exchange doesn't make anyone question their coding competency anywhere else.

And of course, as usual with all these shitshows, the error is one that always makes things look better than they actually do, so we have to question whether it is an innocent error or a lie intended to make the 24 hour volume look higher than it actually is, making it look like there is more interest/action with the coin than there is in reality.

If the 24 hour volume on the exchange wasn't important, it wouldn't be listed and the shills wouldn't be posting it here when it looks good. Whether or not it is important, the fact that it's inaccurate says something to me.
