At this point I'm not spending bitcoins unless I either run out of fiat, or someone offers something I want payable in bitcoins.
I am, however, getting as many as I can get my hands on (which, admittedly, isn't that much).
If the community here is successful in bootstrapping a Bitcoin-based economy, then the value of a single BTC could eventually exceed $1 million USD. And to think, you are here and have the opportunity to get "bucketloads" of them under $10!
Same here. 1 million USD/BTC wow that is such a wet dream for me dude If price went up that high I could finally afford running a 1 Gigabit Ethernet connection to my house... That seems a tad too ambitious but it would be pretty awesome to see. That's my "conservative" estimate. I'm REALLY thinking $5m to $15m.

Or do it like me: Buy, hold, sell, buy back in more expensively. Damn you, exponential growth. Where’s my x-mas tree pattern? That is very funny and true. Now I know I'm not the only one who got trampled by the bull's? I'm more cautious now but the market started moving in locksteps. Can't play off that.

Buy, Buy, Buy. Buy before the big boys come in. Buy before the Bitcoin poker economy takes off. We have reached critical mass. We have reached the point of no return. There isn't much time now! Buy as much as you can afford to lose, or you won't be able to live with yourself.
And this IS financial advice, bitches.
Oh wow we have an ACTUAL financial advisor among us. I don't think it's good to get too worked up about it. Let's all relax and see where things go. I hope bitcoin doesn't' become another example of what Alan Greenspan called irrational exuberance. Sure bitcoins are great and all but would it be smart to bet the farm on them sorta speak; nope!

I think many of the 'big boys' that are going to buy in already have. I do still think there's a lot of upside left, but c'mon.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Sour I missed the $11 spike (usd/sll dropped at the same time btc/sll peaked ) VirWoX is shaping up to be somewhat independent of Mt. Gox, with different weighted averages, spreads, and so forth... And it will probably continue to grow to be less dependent on Mt. Gox unless traders choose to sully their paws with the piddly little exchange and start to do more arbitraging. It can not really be analysed as a simple proxy of Mt. Gox in part, I think, because the culture is very different. Not only that, the fees are very high. I cashed out some old L$ I had sitting around but I won't be playing that game anymore.

Freemoney and bitcool:
Will do 50 btc with each of you.
On silver spot price trading below 30 at least intraday before may 31, 2011.
Consider it booked. I just want to know what source you consider valid for this. I watch Kitco, don't know if that's lame or rigged or whatever. Wow, when silver was at 49 I thought I had a lock. Not so sure at all now! I am happy to pay you the 50btc each if it does not fall another 4.9$ :-) I made a very good trade as I shortened massively between 45-49 $ and now it is 34.9$. Looks like I survived. 1Dxv4XFiX2V4WZ2UysiozKPEgJGS2sRARs

I was messing around with Bitcoincharts and made this chart. It looks like the current rally period is winding down. It's interesting that these rallies seem to occur in three-month intervals--can anyone think of an explanation for that?

3 months is roughly the length of season, i.e. a quarter of year. It is also 3 revolutions of the moon about the earth and 3 human menstrual cycles.
People tend to move money around and make larger economic decisions/purchases on the seasons' change.
