Any idea about AMD dag fix in SMOS?
for now its only this image
http://download.simplemining.net/simpleminer-RX-v1118-17.30-dagfix-computekernel.img.zip

Hello. are the GTX1060 supported?
yes

Hello! Do not keep running gigabyte p106. Reboots every 1-2 minutes. Overclocking: core: 1 memory: 1500, PL: 85, Fan speed: 75%. Tell me the correct overclocking.
too much memory OC

Could we get an update for  Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7

Also When I mine with Claymore 9.7-10.0 eth/sia everything is good no gpu errors
when I try to mine with claymore CryptoNote 9.1 overclocked or not I get constant errors "gpu fault detected" what could this be since it does that overclocked and not overclocked?
there is no such version for linux, claymore is already working on it to support linux.

As far as I can tell everything works great after the new update! Thanks so much for this feature!! Still happy that I switched to SM back than...
I am happ that you guys like it Smiley It was most wanted update ever Smiley

Thank you for the much needed DAG fix! I'm newish to the scene, but really enjoy this as a hobby.
Hopefully a career, Atlanta is not the best climate for garage miners... Its funny most people think I'm doing something illegal when I say I'm mining cryptocurrencies, then I educate them!

Anyways, 1 question, what is the difference in, simpleminer-RX-v1118-16.60-dagfix.img.zip, compared to, simpleminer-RX-v1118-17.30-dagfix.img.zip ?

My 580 rig really likes the 17.30, a solid 29.xx H/s, some times it drops 5H/s for a few minutes then gets back to 170H/s. ( 6 cards XFX "bestbuy version" RX 580 8G)
My 480 rig has been having GPU3, drop down to 19H/s. Sometimes goes to 0 H/s then rig resets.  (Mix of 6 cards 480/470 cards - MSI, Gigabtye, XFX, all 8G)

Thanks!

Hey tytanick or other SME!
Ok So I've been battling a SMOS error for days now I 'd love some help!

What I've tried:
Setting "Above 4G encoding" to enabled/disabled
Setting DMI Max Link Speed to - Gen1 / Gen 2 / Gen 3  ( all tried )
Setting PCIEX16_1 Link Speed to - Gen1 / Gen 2 / Gen 3  ( all tried )
Using Etcher to flash SMOS onto multiple different USBs ( thought it was a drive issue - but works fine on my other Rig on USB )
Updating the BIOS with flash tool - Auto

MOBO model:
H270-PLUS ( working correctly on previous rigs )
MOBO BIOS version: 0808 ( up to date )
RAM - 4GB - not sure if this is an issue at this stage.. ( works fine on the other RIG, but the other rig is AMD )
SMOS version - simpleminer-NV-v1118-kernel4.11.12-nvidia384.59-noaer

The thing is the Rig works perfectly with 4 GPUs, but when I have 6 running, it ticks over for a little bit..
and sits on this screen:

Request:

- See total speed of all of your rigs or total speed for each group
- See average hashrate per rig per group
- See average temperature, fan speed per rig per group or for all of your rigs
- Filter by group when seeing your rigs

That's all for now Smiley

Great work once again!

Hi - Could you please add support for the prospector miner. It has some many good features, the best of which is the ultra fast Skunk Hash support.

It also has a cool feature allowing cpu and gpu mining at same time for multiple algos like XMR, ETH, SkunkHash, ZEC. Here is the link:

Go to the ftp root (download.simplemining.net) and you will see all available versions there. The dag fix version is labelled a little differently from the link so the link is broken.
Now there's two versions that have dagfix in their name :
http://download.simplemining.net/simpleminer-RX-v1118-17.30-dagfix.img.zip (updated 13th Sept)
http://download.simplemining.net/simpleminer-RX-v1118_dagfix_computekernel.img.zip (updated 1st Sept)

Hello Dev,
Should you create an Alias of miner, open SSH server, create an viewable user to monitor miner in LAN network?
My rig is restart several time per day. It may be OC problem, hardware problem (riser,...) power problem. However, by using web interface, I cannot identify which card raise these error. So I prefer to monitor my rig with the output of miner.
   Manny thanks,

Hi kermex529, I'm just a fellow user here but I think this may help.  You can simply ssh into your mining rig from another computer and continuously tail out the log from /root/miner/{directory of the miner you are using}.  When your rig eventually reboots, your ssh session will loose connection.  Then simply scroll up through your buffer to read the output of what it was last doing just before the reboot.  Often one of your GPUs would have dropped to 0 hashes just before the reboot which should help you determine which card to troubleshoot.

Yes can you please tell steps on how to?  I am wondering as well thanks

Sorry for the delayed response I've been in the hospital.  Here are the steps broken down more:

1. If using a Windows computer, download and install putty.  You can find it using google.
2. Log into your rig with putty.  The IP address of your rig is shown on the simplemining website on the riglist page -- simply hover your mouse over the name of your rig and it will show the IP address.  The username and password to use are mentioned in Gravitymaster’s SimpleMining OS FAQ  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SvtkI_ZCHAxqbIsaWnuA81hRbI3Tp2Zf3iyEQlORLTU/edit
3. You will need to know what miner you are using.  To find this, log into the simplemining website.  On the rig groups page, click the miner programs button and look for which one has the dot in front of it.  You should already be familiar with this page as you had to set it up when you started using simplemining.
4. Change into the directory of the miner you are using.  For example, if you are using claymore-eth-v9.7 , you would type "cd /root/miner/claymore-eth-v9.7/"
5. Find out the name of your log file.  You can do this by typing "ls".  Look for a filename containing the phrase log or txt.
6. Continuously output the log file to your putty window.  For example, if your log file is named 1505187735_log.txt, you would type "tail -f 1505187735_log.txt"
7. Leave it running.  Take a look at it again in a couple hours.  If it lost connection, leave putty open and scroll up through the text to look for any error messages or any lines which show the hash rates of each of your cards and see if one of they dropped to 0 hashes.

I would recommend getting a book on Linux and familiarize yourself at least with the most commonly used shell commands.

Thank you very much for help!!!!

Yes, it really works for my RX580 rig.

does it have same problems with undervolting? or it is fixed here?
Undervolting still does not work in SMOS but you can try ethOS 1.2.5 with RX series GPU undervolting implemented (in theory).

Hello I've been mining Monero with SMOS for about 14 hours, using  miner xmr-stack-amd and Nanopool: My H/s has been all over the place keeping waving between 1000-4000 H/s while I would expect to stay around 3000-3500 H/s. Is this normal?

if this new DAG fix is the real deal and it works smoothly, shouldn't it be auto updated by default for every user ?..

if so when can we expect it ? or just notify us if the only way is to manually flash it ?....
