Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consider gambling as a bad thing? Do you feel shameful or proud for being a gambler? If it is shame what you feel what do you about it? How do you hide you're a gambler and who do you hide it from?

Of course I'm not. I always gamble woth discipline where in I only play what I can afford to lose. I think it would be shameful if we choose to gamble what all we have where in we can not afford to lose it.

These people are the ones who think highly of themselves and are the ones who really doesn't feel any shame and doesn't mind what other people  think or say about them. Exactly I seen that these people has diffent ways on how they value their gambling attitudes and if a person is not ashamed of what activites he did which linked to gambling. They just wanted people seing them to be transparent and not pretending to be a righteous person whose seen as well respected and no dark sides. As long as that person did not have any mistakes on spending his own money and that money is his wealth or salary from job; there's no reason to judge him to be shameful on the passion he had through gambling activites.

I am not ashamed of my hobby, and it's still a great question.   Since it can be a challenge to moderate personal limits if your impulses are easily triggered, I don't play on days when I am feeling too frenzied.  The moment I start to bet In a way that is wreck less or risky is the moment I take a break.

I guess I won't be ashamed for being a gambler because if I really have money for gambling and spend in my own sweat, I will feel comfortable. On the other hand, if my money comes from a dirty job then I will feel shameful on that. It's really difficult when you're bringing conscience with you when you face people in the crowd and you gamble with them. We all know that gamble is just for fun but if you get addicted ,that's another story.

Don't you think you can help spread a word about the cryptocurrencies in your locality rather than to waste your time gambling? What do you pride about? That you know about btc and others dont? Wouldn't it be better if they do know about cryptocurrencies?

Yes in gambling if we use the money how much we can afford then it is fine, and we no need to worry about others. But the money exists and start to use personal money then we must worry about others. Not outside people your family members know that you are wasting money in gambling it is a really shameful situation. But gambling within your control is good. I don't feel shameful because I can control my feelings in gambling.

Why would you be ashamed of something that you're fond of doing. Gambling is a hobby that can make you enjoy the time you spend in it and it won't really matter what other people say. The problem is when your gambling now beyond your means and not with your own resources. That's very shameful not just with gambling. If you're a responsible person that knows how to properly handle money, you don't have to be ashamed and i don't think people will mind either

     In my opinion, Why would I ashamed for being gambler if I am not greedy in the game, I play evenly with my opponents, I did not cheat on him, I played smooth on the game, My stake is my money I enable to lose and I used money from my earnings not from my parents pocket.
     I would feel ashamed if I bet all of my money came from my parents and If I can not control myself to gamble until I won to the point that I could wager all my things if I lose all of my money on the game.

There is nothing to be ashamed as a gambler if you are thinking that there's none but if you are one of those extreme gamblers. And you gamble like there's no tomorrow you are going to be ashamed that you are spending your bitcoin into a not priority thing. And it's also a shame if you gamble with your parents pocket.

I agree, other people should be more ashamed. In gambling, you don't hurt anybody nor you cheat anyone. You're there just for fun or other reasons that will not harm anyone but yourself in case you lose everything. People that throw trash on streets, smoke in public and other bad things should be the one that should ashamed.

There's always a reason why it happened, and it's not a problem with the people because they can still have fun even without gambling.
Also, I do not believe that all people will follow the rules not to gamble, some might still do it especially if they are already experiencing the fun.
Every time we spend money to make money, that is where the thrill comes and I believe that will also contribute to make us a risk taker.

Why should I feel shameful about it I think it is normal for a person to take some risk or be a lazy ones in a while,
It is part of being human you have to take some risk or gamble something at some point of your life.

Actually, if you have restriction from your family, then sure you will feel that feeling of shame. But i think you have no restriction about your family then, it is doesn't matter for you. Secondly, in mostly countries are not allow to play gambling in openly or legally, that's why when we start to play gambling and faces the trouble about arrest from police than sure we have feeling of shame.

When looked on the different crimes that are taking place around the world, gambling is not a big sin. It can be considered a sin when the gambler goes out of control and make others suffer with his bad activities. This doesn't happen quite often and happens very rarely. So I never feel ashamed of being a gambler.

Shame or not become a gambler sometimes uncertain. Normally if someone lives in a place that does not approve of gambling, they will feel ashamed. If it does not feel ashamed maybe their facial skin is very thick lol. And if they live in a place that legalize gambling, they have no reason to be embarrassed.
