I just dont get this

no blocks for over 10 feckin hrs

Only 7 blocks for the last 24 hrs

Luck reported by Slush for last day - 115%

?

The pool is broken, it's quite obvious. Time to pick another pool, at least until it's fixed. I made the move 3 days ago and am happy I did.

I'm going to make the switch today..  with the last two months here tho im really starting to think there is something very wrong with this pool.. I know he made a post about being on matt corralo relay network for block propagation... since i have no idea how his system works i have no idea if that is the issue we have no blocks or just something very nefarious going on.. The fact he does not monitor this thread and is only on facebook is a bit odd to me as well..

i guess its time to swap tho.. i cant bear this any longer. have to be able to at least cover power costs and at this rate that is questionable right now..

glimps of slush stats.  Huh

What i find most appealing about kano pool is its low orphan rate aswell it has good overall luck.  Yes its seen a nice week and could see a bit of a dry spell but if you look through his blocks i dont see any that took anywhere close to what slush is doing right now..  Also his pool code is open source Smiley

Why you are still generating v3 blocks?

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/block/0000000000000000037a253d53650c70b85092bf416934ca69fbe043b7f41437

As soon as Antpool completes migration to v4, v3 blocks will become invalid in 4 days. Please make sure you won't have any blocks orphaned for this reason

I think the problem is not in Slush's pool but in that the big pools like Antpool are cheating somehow.

Look the whole network should generate 144 blocks roughly in 24 hrs. The power of whole network is around 700 PH. The power of say Ant pooll is ~ 160 PH. So it should generate around 32 - 33 blocks per 24 hrs but it generates 56 - 58 the last week.

So Slush and other relatively fair  pools lack blocks

How you can measure this?  Pool can be only "fair" or "not fair", there is no intermediate value.
Or "relatively fair" means that it stole money once a month? Lol )

Try to get the point of my post above. Relatively fair in the sense they do not cheat network as probably  Antpool does . Stoling money from miners is another story and that is why I have used "relatively"

That's not cheating, but it is called pool luck. So yeah maybe they were on a strike. The whole concept of mining is determined by luck (statistics) sure they can be off when your timeframe is just a few days, but overal if you compare the luck in 3 months. You should get a prety acurate figure.

Interesting point.
This could be a valid reason.
Antpool are definitely cheaters.

The poor pool luck @Slush lately was too anoying to take anymore. Switched to Antpool and will see how it goes.

I used antpool and slush, and let me tell you, antpool got many blocks, but slush is more reliable and fair. Remember antpool cheated a lot of their miners by hiding blocks etc.
Slush would never do that.. never.

well i finally had to move away.. i didnt want to as i thougth for sure it would come back around. But the more i watch this pool the more i think this thread needs moved to the altcoin section.. All slush mines is nmc which is worthless moreless.. Sad to see it in such trouble.. Is what it is. And the Captain as he puts it just keeps sailing away like its normal.. idk but i did what i think is best for me.. have to be able to pay the bills. I expect variance like this on a 15 ph pool not 40ph Wink.. if it comes back around then great  but i will keep my eye on this and be the first to say i was wrong about this pool..

Best regards

Add me to the list of Slush defectors as well.   Sad

I didn't want to........I just had to.

I've only ever mined in Slush and Discus.  95% of all my mining has been in Slush, but I've always measured it's daily success against Discus' fixed rate.

Back in the 12PH-16PH days, Slush could beat Discus with 4-5 blocks a day.  In the 36PH-40PH range, it takes 11-12 blocks to beat the Fish......and there are many days we can't seem to hit that mark.  I agree with the earlier poster who said we'd probably fare just as good if we were back in the 12-16PH range.

Any Hoo, I keep checking in to see what's going on in the old Slush Pool.   I wish the statistics were more accurate.  Slush's way of calculation luck seems very odd and not linked to reality.

I have moved everything over to another pool 5 days ago - glad I did

was that 18 hrs between blocks today - wooo.........
The hash must plummet soon. Nobody can afford to wait this out for this long.

Agree with you on the 15PH/s - thats about the effective return for weeks now.
