make sure that you are running the bitminter mining app in "high performance" mode...it really just minimizes the window on your screen.  This way you are not loosing any gpu's on your mining app.

it is a clean running app though.  It will either see your cards or not.  If it does then you are done...if not then you need to keep looking at drivers, configurations or anything else to get it to be seen by the app.

Maldark, keep in mind that as more and more machines start mining the difficulty will keep going up, and the 5 GH/s will give you less and less bitcoins.

How fast will this happen?

If I got the machine tomorrow, how many days would you think it'd take?

I'm just looking for a rough estimate Smiley

Kind regards

I can see that the video where I got the 0.25 - 0.3 numbers from is a month old, what do you think 5 GH/s gives nowadays?

The machines have a minimum 2month+ pre-order wait on them.  The ones that are currently shipping were ordered a year ago, I am still waiting for my two.  It is totally impossible to assume how much the difficulty will change by the time which you receive an ordered ASIC.

That's quite a wait Sad

How long ago did you order?

If you double the days, you should have some margin. However I think you won't get any miner tomorrow
from BFL if you order today. They are ~1 year late.

Looking great. I'm trying out the Beta at the moment, and it seems to give a slightly higher hash rate than the old client. Keep up the good work.

The big delays i somewhat a little annoying. Would be great to have some faster execution in confirmation. I have tried to use the perks as I have read that it should make a difference. But I cant feel any difference. But I might be wrong about that.

For beginners Bitminter cannot be beat. By far the easiest setup Bitcoin mining operation.

If you're buying just for mining: none. The ASICs will make it hard for you to recoup the money.

If you're buying for playing and mining when not playing: AMD. Nvidia's cards can't mine very well.

Hello all. Here I m stuck/restricted at the newbie section at the moment. I ve been mining at slush a bit to start with. But didn t like the website much and no communication from the pool operator. Bitminter is so much better and dr haribo at least replies when you contact him. Website is perfectly well made. I think the only thing i miss from slush s website is a graph showing your daily reward. That would be quite cool to have this although the reward are very stable each day from what i ve noticed.

Thanks for all dr haribo !
