Thanks to DrHaribo for all his efforts in making BitMinter a great pool!

Thank you, sir Smiley

Hello,
I just loaded the bitminter app and love the idea. It seems SO easy to use and SO easy to setup. The only problem is that when I run it, it disappears instantly (crashes I'm guessing).

It detects my CPU and GPU, but the second I click on the double arrow to start minting, it disappears. Where should I start for debugging this issue? I want to mine!

My GPU is an Asus Radeon HD 7770 and my CPU is an Intel core i7 3.5ghz

Thank you for any help

Nice to hear you like the pool and miner. Smiley

The crash is a graphics driver crash. Happens often with Catalyst 13.1 and 13.4. Unfortunately AMD hasn't really been able to make any stable drivers in 2013 so far. You could perhaps try 13.6 beta or go back to 12.x drivers.

AMD uninstall doesn't work and often leaves behind broken files from the broken drivers, meaning that you may still have problems after installing working drivers. If it still crashes with proper drivers then this is probably the issue. You could try the cleanup utility at AMD's website, or driver sweeper from guru3d or manual cleanup as discussed here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=359883

Hello Dr. Haribo,

Are you actually a Dr.? Or is that just a handle?

I have been lurking around Bitminter for a couple of months and I have learned a bit. I must say Bitminter is very easy to use and has been chugging along for myself quite well. I wanted to ask your opinion of the different mining machines being offered these days. The ones I know about are BLF's , Avalon and Bitfountain Block Erupter USB devices. I have ordered a couple of the jalapeno's and am waiting patiently. If you would, I'm sure you know a lot about all of them, would you discuss them and make any suggestions?

Thx
FriedIV

All cash out thresholds that were below 0.01 have now been set to 0.01 as previously announced here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27062.msg2278795#msg2278795

If Haribo candy is medicine, then I am a doctor.

Look at the price per hashpower and the availability. Looks like BFL is ramping up production. That is good.

Well, candy is the perfect medicine for "sweet tooth" syndrome.

Love the program, thanks.

Well I finished syncing my wallet and now I'm wondering where exactly do I go on the Bitminter site to input my address?

After logging into the website go to "my account" -> "account details". Halfway down the page is the auto cash out. There are instructions there on how it works.

Which results?

why realasicminer left?

They started solomining. They are bigger than most pools.

Love this pool, the bitminter client is a big help for newbies like me. Currently mining at 900Mh/s with a Jalapeno on order.
Love the merged mining, and the fact that on the stats page you can enable an audible alert when a block is found, and that the sound is the sound of a slot machine haha

That's done to reduce the delay in payments. A 1.5% donate is required for the prepay perk, which pays for blocks instantly (and also pays for orphan blocks). New users have had trouble understanding the combined delay from block confirmations and PPLNS.
