what im facing the whole week are problems with myopenid. are they as well under DDoS attack? as soon as im able to login with it, i will try to change my authentication provider.. is that possible?
They have been very unstable lately. I'm not sure why. When you get logged in you can add more OpenID identities under "my account" -> "logins".

My avalon shows that bitminter pool is dead, while my other miners are able to connect. Tried all possible URLs. Anybody any clue? Thanks.

Resolve the ip on youre pc and try that instead of url. Could be the linux in youre avalon is caching an old resolve.
I dont now if the new ddos firewall changes ip's randomly while attacked ? My raspbpi has the problem to yesterday and putting an ip in there worked. But for the long term it should be a dns name like mint.bitminter.com

No, the new server is at a steady IP. The old IP is still working too. I see 58 workers still mining there.
Perhaps it is a problem of DNS resolution not working at all on those machines having issues. If so, fixing the DNS setup or entering the IP address would get it going. Preferred is to fix DNS, as servers may move again in the future.

DrHaribo, can you give my prize in Mint Race #4 (cloudhashing discount) to the next person in line? I won't be needing it. Thank you. SilentSonicBoom Contact me via PM or email if you need to verify this.

Well, the difficulty rose to 26 million overnight, and now it's no longer profitable for me to mine on my GPUs, so until Butterfly Labs pulls it's collective fingers out, and ships me my 37GH/s of ASICs, I must bid you adieu. I will be back later in the year though. Keep up the good work Doc - this is the best pool I have worked with!

I'd carry on, and count it as an investment for the future - at least until the next difficulty increase (I am still making profit....if you can call $0.14 per day a profit), but my apartment is getting so hot (about 29.5c), that it's worth missing out until then, just to stay cool XD Plus, I'm extremely strapped for cash right now, and every penny saved on my electricity bill is a godsend.

I have a similar system. Your devices will not be recognized until the drivers are installed. Do it this way- Unplug all USB ASICs. Reboot. Plug in one ASIC. Windows should start its 'Found New Hardware' dialog. Select the option to find the drivers automatically from the internet. Let the machine carry on until it has finished. Reboot. Plug in USBs one at a time letting Windows find each one. Start mining.

With today's spike in BTC/USD rate, you should be much more in the green now. It's sad to hear you go.

Does your pool have a option to receive a notification when a worker is offline ?
