Sad point of this is that my announcement posts wats hardly created with pictures and etc., now on middle of ICO the post looks not so good, because all pictures is gone. Whats should i do? cancel the thread or any other good idea?
Become a " Copper member" and lift that restriction easily (it's quite cheap [0.002ish]). - Read more: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable imagesFor the beginner it will be right to earn at least 1 merit on their own. Buy - not be difficult, the price of the issue is low. But agree - to earn merit on their own and to understand that your ideas or thoughts brought the result is a much nice and better. Those who buy-use its rank " Jr."only for the bounty and, accordingly, will quickly make up for their investment, the forum will get a small payment. Beginners don't need to be consumers, they need to be producers of useful information to generate it . I am sure that among the beginners-a lot of smart and educated people who are able to help with their thoughts and develop not only the forum but also the entire cryptocurrency industry.

I like your thread but hate to see such aggorant higher ranks like your images shown. However, I support the ideas of Theymos to require at least 1 merit to become a Junior member. Furthermore, restricting ability to wear signature to only Junior rank and above is amazing, which is much helpful to stop spammers walking around the forum and showing their shits to earn money.

check the last page of your quotes then answer the question In our society there are good and bad people as well. However, in many jurisdictions a rule/law that imposes panishment/stricter terms does not apply retroactively. Sorry, if I misunberstood your reference. As for bounties, I do not know why some of them ask to do separate posts per week and post here at all - there are other ways to report the work done without this forum.

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are: Rank | Required activity | Required merit | Brand new | 0 | 0 | Newbie | 1 | 0 | Jr Member | 30 | 1 | Member | 60 | 10 | Full Member | 120 | 100 | Sr. Member | 240 | 250 | Hero Member | 480 | 500 | Legendary | Random in the range 775-1030 | 1000 |
You get merit points when someone sends you some for one of your posts. Additionally, when someone sends you merit points, half of those points can be sent by you to other people. Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention. There is currently no such thing as a "demerit". I'm hoping that the positive merits alone will be fine. I could add demerits pretty easily later on if necessary, though. I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by: - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc. - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line. While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with. Do not beg for merit excessively. Useful infographicsForum users have helpfully created some infographics to explain the merit system: paxmao's infographicibminer's infographic8Habits's infographicJetSet11's infographiczentdex's infographicalia_armelle's infographicIf you want to be a merit source: 1. Be a somewhat established member. 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months by other people that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread. The point of this is to demonstrate your ability to give out merit usefully. 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source. I am especially eager to have merit sources in sub-communities such as the local sections. Trivia:For current members, your initial merit score is equal to the minimum required to your rank. Of that, a certain amount (less than the usual half) is spendable. The spendable amount was calculated based on your current rank and the number of activity points you earned in the last year. A Legendary member who hasn't posted in the last year would still be Legendary, but would not have any spendable merit. If someone sends you 1 merit, the 0.5 sMerit is not wasted; it is just not shown until you get another merit point. There are stats here, and you can find someone's merit summary by clicking the "merit" link on their profile. Interestingly, you track how much more Merit was given, those who did not have it. I think this will only delay the spam for a while, because starting from August 17, 2018. according to my observations, the number of Merit transfers has increased, before this was not! Or do you think that posts and comments have become better

Once again, Theymos have made great initiative to improve the forum in general. At least in terms of preventing spammers posting around, showing their shit, and easily taking their free money. Most of spammers will be newbies for months and can not wear signature, can not join bounties.

I have never received merit for the post that I've made and I have always tried to be useful or give an opinion if the creator of the post wants one, let's see how this new forum mechanism enhance the forum dynamics

Or do you think that posts and comments have become better Likely you are referring to the spending of smerits increasing on September 17, 2018 rather than August 17, 2018, correct? On September 16, theymos increased the number of merit sources and the number of merits per 30 days, which could have accounted for some of the increase spike. I doubt that post quality is going to suddenly become better, but it is likely that post quality has increased somewhat from the January 2018 implementation of the merit system and will likely increase further from the most recent September 16, 2018 revision that created the 1 merit requirement to rank up to Jr. Member.

1) Self-Custody is a right. There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

After the new system, the newbie to legendary member are feeling that.
Yeah!! But also this system made many people to leave this forum being lack of enough knowledge which made those people angry. Why they didn't get a merit!! I've noticed that many people now trying to deal with merit holders for merit. They are offering money for merits but that's awful. Even some people asking [" How I will post to get merit? ", "Please make a post for me", " I will give you what you want but please bring me just one merit " ] But you (Brand new/Newbie) don't try to ask this type of asking. Cause it's worthless, only the scammers are do this type of things and theymos decided to change the system only for stopping the scammers. So, For getting merit don't try a shit/scamming way, get more knowledge about this forum and try to obey all the rules. Then make posts for helping other and discuss freely which will bring you merit for your skill and sure stay aware from the scammers

the new merit system will change all forum. Some members will find the way to buy merits. Some projects will decrease the requirement of bounty campains. I don't think it will make our forum better. I see some high rank members post bad comments. Their comments are low quality. They post for only posting purpose. You guys should build the automatic merit system. It can use AI to assess comments and projects.

The forum looks much cleaner when Newbies are unable to wear signatures, and forum users have to get 1 merit at least to be ranked up to Junior Member rank beside satisfying postcounts.

I fixed your last sentence! Managers who were accepting newbies either wouldn't ever pay or they'd pay in a 0-value altcoin. Probably the same is true for Jr. Members too.

No only merit sources receive a new allocation after a given period of time.
Other members receive .5 sMerit for every merit they receive. So next time you get 2 merits you can award one yourself.

ahh that is a bad system. But how can some legendary members have 100+ spendable merits? they have only 1000 Merits and that too they got it automatically from activity as soon as we shifted to merit system.
