Merit & new rank requirements

Has this recently been updated? I am pretty sure I needed 10 for jr. Rank if I am correct, did they decrease the merit requirements?

I welcome this new merit and rank requirements. It will improve quality posts but abuse will be in the same line. Many Newbies will try to beg 1 merit even with purchasing merit.

I find people like you more irritating than newbies. You earned 0 and you spent 0. Fully involved in facebook-twitter-shitposting  and welcoming the system with 0 contribution.

im not sure if anybody pulled out details data about who sent to who in regard of the magic merit to pass from newbie to jr. member, but this may account for a significant part of those 6922 merits

I'll see what I can do, starting with "my" Full Merit history for all users (big file!).

Members who like blockchain-based games take a look at that project and if you like the idea and the way this project is going than give 1 merit. This idea has been already proposed several time and discarded. The forum is promoting / agreeing with privacy and anonymity, there are actually many users which are using Tor while browsing it, so KYC is definitively not going to happen.

KYC would likely bear a poor toll on decreasing spam, dent the number of alts a bit, but bash the likeness of many forum members to remain here since their (pseudo) anonymity would be shredded.

Using TOR is the next step in privacy obsession. I am not ready for this, yet.

Hell no for a forum, and is this forum a investment site/bank to "Know Your Customer/s"? And theymos wouldn't do this even though he have the green-light approach all over the forum.

But create many theart : how to get merit or give me one merit please. I don't accuse this people but if you really wont to recive merit , you should'n think about it and just be usefull and friendly for another members.

One advantage of the invisibility of forum mods/administrators is that you can fit a whole hell-of-a lot of them in the same audition(casting) couch, and they don't complain about overcrowding.

If you're not thinking about how other people will interpret what you have to say, then you're not having a conversation with them, which is the whole purpose of a forum. Instead you're just talking to yourself at best, and interrupting other people's conversations at worst, and everyone else is sick of dealing with it at this point.

Going bit derailed-Yes, people are here for different reasons, so i guess some are better than others for the community.. Taking it to deeper in 1 subject: Why bounty hunters are worse than the rest? (they do have to be active in forums with posts (contents of a post itself is mostly irrelevant. No interest in making conversation there)). You see the problem is not the hunter itself but the system that makes him post this junk. Just redirect all coin/token bounties, commercials and ico-s to somewhere deep folders where you never have to go and let them rant there
Eventually bounty creators see no reason in this business. Or just ban it.

For those who create multiple account just to spam links etc- why creating account is easier than buying milk in the store? I know it should be easy for real new user to come and take part in community but everywhere where system provides valuable info or resources, people are willing to make a bigger effort to have access to it.

We are talking here mostly about newbies and jr members who had certain interest here in the forum and lot of them are complaining about something that most higher rank members can never relate to anymore.
By now i have read a lot of posts by users who are merit sources and their explanations how they give merit and how their standards will not change etc. They all say they will read your posting history, that you have to have all quality posts... the hell.. everyone who has over 100 posts have some shit in their history. And now you can copy that 13th of february in 2018 (2017 or 2016 or whatever) post when your portfolio crashed 30% and your dog died the same day and you just felt posting something with "quality". Because of that post you get no merit whatsoever? When would that user be worthy again?
 
Foxpup, if you are concerned about the quality of conversation then I'm sure that among those 2,3 mio accounts I bet 90 % doesn't "qualify" to be worthy to have conversation with you. But people do come here to learn and grow.  And people do come here to spam, rant, do bounty hunting etc. Like iI said before, I have no problem with merit system, but with the reasoning or rules how they might be distributed.

You could have came at the subject matter and acknowledged some of the issues of the implemented system and the changes; however, you proposal to completely revamp the forum and to take out the ability for signatures and bounty hunters goes quite contrary to the forums chosen direction.....  Part of the nonsense of your post  (and garbage as you suggest) remains that you are failing and refusing to work within the parameters that are in place and the direction in which the forum is currently going.. instead you request some less possible route that seems to just be stirring up shit rather than providing any kind of meaningful and thought through proposal.

Well, definitely true 'cause if you're trying to earn merits but lazy to create contents that's really a big problem. How can you reach your "Goal" if you're not trying to take the first step?

There are parts that you will think about "merits" if it's your goal because it doesn't mean you're a merit farmer, abuser, or what so ever if think about it. If you're good at posting and wanna help people that needs tutorials and information regarding important matters, welcome to the club. 

Another thing is, It's not just being friendly to other members, It's about having a good discussion with others. Please have this kind of mindset here in forum and be one of the guide or path everyone to the development of our forum.

I would not be so sure, I can link a report made a while ago in which I wrote about an abuser with 20 accounts and kyc approved on all accounts on the spreadsheet of the bounty.
On 3rd world's country you can buy documents for a few dollars.
