On the other hand, two of the strongest teams (Queensland Bulls and New South Wales) are languishing at the bottom of the points table with 0 points. BTW, Mackenzie Harvey got out just now, for 28.

The match between Victoria and Western Australia turned out to be very competitive. The Western Australian players were in good form. They won the first two matches. So I thought they might win today's match and continue the streak and go to the top of the table. But the performance of Victoria's batsmen was outstanding. Every batsman of Victoria batted well. Especially Matthew Short's innings of 75 off 59 balls were much needed. Victoria has given a huge target of 245 runs in 36 overs. Victoria looks more likely to win. Western Australia must score 6.77 runs per over to win, which is very difficult.

T20 World cup is in progress  that's why there isn't any ODI going on any test country. Only big boards like Aus , England or India can afford such tournaments in there domestic setups. There isn't any attraction for test and ODI these days and these formats are not financially beneficial for boards.

Ideally this should not happen. Boards should have separate squads for test, ODI and T20. But from what we have seen, only one or two countries such as India and England can afford to do so. And in countries such as Zimbabwe, they have the same squad for all the three formats. And this is detrimental to the future of all the three varieties. There are older fans, who don't like the T20 format. Since there have been any cricket other than T20 during the last 3-4 months, these guys will be left without any means of entertainment from cricket.

Actually, that could have been possible if cricket had a base like football in the league setup. But they don't have anything like that.

It will be hard for any cricket board to make three separate teams for 3 separate formats. Especially for the smaller cricket boards. Another problem is when there is only one team which is doing very well we can often see that the players have problems with the cricket board and teams fall apart. Imagine what can happen if there are three cricket teams playing regularly as the national team of a single cricket board.

Players such as Taskin and Mustafizur have been around for quite some time now. These are experienced players and not rookies. Although they bowled well during the last couple of matches, they have failed to perform consistently. Taskin Ahmed is the same guy who went for 46 runs (from 3 overs) against South Africa. The only player in the XI who perform consistently is Litton Kumer Das. He is gradually becoming the backbone of the team, and has been able to reduce the overdependence on Shakib Al Hasan.

For the long term, I am not very optimistic about Bangladesh. They received the test status more than two decades ago, and since then they have struggled to compete against big-3 teams. Now they are struggling against teams such as South Africa as well. And all this despite their huge population and the fact that cricket is the no.1 sport in terms of popularity back in Bangladesh. And the BCB has done a pretty bad job over all these years, mired in corruption and political interference from the regime.

The problem with Bangladesh cricket team is that they do improve but not at the rate which they should. Bangladesh should have played better in recent times. And I know that Bangladesh is doing decent enough in their T-20 World Cup right now. But @eaLiTy do you really think that this is the finest bowling attack in Bangladesh?

Because I don’t think so. The bowling attack that Bangladesh had in the 2015 World Cup was the most effective in my opinion. But at least they can now depend on their bowling lineup.

The head of the BCB is a person nominated by the government. Who has been sitting in the same seat for a long time as president without any election. Moreover, there are various allegations against him. Information about his visit to the casino platform with the evidence of his photography has been published in the media. But still he is in that position. I think Bangladesh cricket will not improve until there is any new president come to conduct the BCB. So at first BCB should be organized then we can expect from the team.

So far, it feels like Pakistan women are easily winning this match. The Pakistan women have set a very lofty target of 336 runs for the Ireland women to chase, and meanwhile, right now halfway through the second innings, the Ireland women are not doing very well, to be honest. But Ireland's women have scored 105 runs in 27.1 overs have been played. They have also lost four wickets doing so.

So, there is no way Ireland women are capable of winning this match. The required run rate is already over 10, and I’m sure they will not be able to keep up.
