Another bad game by the BGSM. I can't believe they were dominated by the Alaska Aces.
This isn't the Ginebra that we used to see, they lost by a huge margin, 75-89 was the final score and I think it's very uncharacteristic for the BGSM to lose by a double-digit. You guys really know what is happening inside, and that is the chemistry problem.
How about the rigged news, is this match also is rigged? Does any player give a tip?

Chemistry problem and Japeth did not play in that game. No Japeth, that's really a problem as the Alaska Aces love to attack the paint, and C. Stand does not have an outstanding game also which only tally 9 points. How about the rigged news, is this match also is rigged? Does any player give a tip?
Not rigged IMO, Alaska was the better team, they played hard and they win big time. PERIOD!

Not rigged IMO, Alaska was the better team, they played hard and they win big time. PERIOD! I agree with this, Ginebra has been losing games against a quality team, and they lose again. IIRC, they only won one game when the conference resume and it's not a good sign going forward. As per standing, they are already in the number 9, and I think they will be out of the elimination if they cannot improve their standing. https://pba.ph/standings

Alaska is on fire starting the first quarter held Ginbera 23-8, a lot of good plays were made by both teams but TO piled up for the BGSM. The big Factor as well is Japeth's not playing. A huge advantage for Alaska as they storm the paint, Stan seems to be lost out there. Pringle and Scottie were quite a help though it's not enough as they have somehow the worst shooting on that game. To be honest, Ginebra seems to be not in sync for the past couple of games including this one. I'd agree, this ain't rigged. It's just that the other team played better.

They keep losing and this time we see why, there's no chemistry and there's no aggressiveness to compete, Alaska in the other side do all the homework that they needed to win the game, the rigged issue still there but not sure they will do that with the hot issue about it. I doubt anyone will continue that, this win is a win Alaska deserve the credit.

Also, a good credit for the in-bounder, DelaRosa didn't panic and keep the players moving till the design play for Abueva can be executed. I like players like that, no rushing and making sure that everything has been done accordingly, it's a big trust to what the beast can do, nothing but a good execution of play, and for that, big kudos in winning the game. In time like that, I don't see any point that coach will decide to remove your big man, even an inter-brgy coach in his good mindset knows that time is on their side. Preventing anyone inside the paint is the very priority and lets gunners to try their luck outside. Though coach Pido admits that, it won't change anything better luck next time and just move forward.

Maybe they are lack motivation which usually coming from there veteran player like caguiao by the time he is still playing although in the bench most of the time. It's important to boost player morale on every crucial or else they will not get synchronised and play individually without team work. I think any team can defeat them even Blackwater if they continue this performance or maybe an early boracay in the playoffs.

It's easy to determine what the problem is, I'm sure it's not the veteran player's support but the lack of chemistry. This is now a challenge for coach Tim Cone as the team that won last bubble has now become a "KANGKONG", that's what people call them when they were still tanking in the past.

That's very unfortunate for the NorthPort bettors but things like that happen every now and then in the PBA or even in the NBA. Good that coach Pido take the blame but the possibility of Magnolia nailing the 3 is also very high with Paul Lee around maybe that's what coach Pido was anticipating, it's just that coach Chito was quick to realize their advantage down low when Greg was not around. Good game though as i'm taking the spread with that game.

I saw the highlight of the game, the defense was good inside, it's just that Calvin was really good, he won't be called as Beast for no reason. Better luck next time for the North Port, at least they are doing pretty well this conference as they have a competitive team now. 1 point loss, there's a lot to learn from that, but a coach thata admits his mistake woudl easily learn.

No, I disagree with that. That should not be a reason for a light performance of Ginebra. There's no reason to point out why they lose in their last game but only, they are underperforming. And even how worst Ginebra is, Blackwater won't stand a chance unless intentionally losing as BW will have big odds on that match if happened. I still don't see them being eliminated this elimination round though. If Ginebra will keep like that, they just need to face the trashtalks. Everyone is always happy that Ginebra will eliminate early. That's how powerful Ginebra is.

I doubt anyone will continue that, this win is a win Alaska deserve the credit. Agree with that, Alaska deserves the credit as they are working hard to improve the team despite not having their star players already. It's a brand new team that is composed of young players who are hungry to win, and though they don't have many stars, they are still winning because they have better chemistry that lets everyone gets involve and contribute. Let's look at the contributions of the players and compare. Alaska 89 - Tratter 13, Digregorio 11, Herndon 10, Ahanmisi 10, Teng 10, Brondial 9, Marcelino 8, Banal 8, Casio 6, Adamos 4, Ilagan 0, Ebona 0, Stockton 0, Publico 0, Taha 0.
Ginebra 75 - Pringle 20, Thompson 17, Standhardinger 9, Tenprio 8, Ayaay 7, Mariano 6, Devance 4, Dillinger 2, Tolentino 2, Salado 0, Caperal 0, Enriquez 0, Aguilar 0, J. Aguilar 0, Holmqvist 0. source: https://pba.ph/news/aces-back-triumphantly-pull-off-wire-to-wire-win-over-kings

If Gregzilla was there, they could have protected the paint, and with 2 seconds to shot, Magnolia will be forced to make a 3 point shot which is a low percentage shot in a pressure time.
That's only a "what if". The last shot of Abueva was contested and defended. Around 3-4 defend him. We can't say that Magnolia won't able to drain that clutch if Slaughter was there. See how Calvin rotates? If Slaughter is there, surely the gameplay will be change but still have a chance to take that shot. In time like that, I don't see any point that coach will decide to remove your big man, even an inter-brgy coach in his good mindset knows that time is on their side. It depends on the situation. Pido's decision is good for me. It's just that Abueva hit the shot. If Abueva was able to shot it without defense then we can blame the coach. A coach removes big man in some cases in defense when there are only a few seconds on the clock or something that the opposing team might do a catch and shoot. On that play, I see an 80% chance that the last shot was a jump shot. Abueva just keeps running to stay away at his defense so he made an opening. Well, Pido's take the blame so move on now on that part. That was a nice play on Abueva.

TNT vs Alaska later @ 4:35pm. Like to risk some money on Alaska but it turned out the odds is not that exciting. Hope for a change later. Against the top TNT, I'm expecting bookies will give Alaska around @4 or @5 odds. Their winning against Ginebra might have a big impact but shouldn't be the reason why Alaska only got the odds around @2.

Even if they lose to Ginebra, odds against TNT won't reach that 4-5 odds as they are not a low-tier team with regards to the line-up. I'm rooting for the Katropa in this game as they want to finish the elimination strong which would give them confidence and morale coming into the second round. In the first game, it is interesting to see if Blackwater would still continue to write history in the PBA as the team to have the longest losing streak. In my mind, I'm rooting for the Bolts -14.5 but have pushed the opposite button instead . So Blackwater +14.5 @1.88 for me in the first game.

Bookies really looked down at the Blackwater right now lol. That team is really at their worst. I agree that Blackwater +14.5 @1.88 is a good bet but on the other hand, can't resist to bet on -14.5 Bolts too as I think they can handle it. But either of these bet, still better compare risking money on Blackwater @7.5. I don't see this team making a single win. They are not good even their opponent is struggling.

Is more harder if Gregg is there for sure, I just express of my opinion if in your side you don't see any problem I don't either, and if you read my last statement I just said that nothing will be changed as things already happened and the winning shot of Abueva already counts. Moving forward and to the next game and better luck and learned from such mistake.

Good luck to all of you, going to pass for this first game.

Moving forward and to the next game and better luck and learned from such mistake. Just pointing out the comment you made on Coach Pido that degrades his position as a professional head coach that's why I explained his possible thoughts during that time. His decision of replacing Greg during the few seconds might be wrong to you but to compare his action which you think doesn't have a point compare to an Inter-Brgy Coach with a good mindset is not necessary as feedback even he already admit the mistakes. We can't say that's the reason why they lose on that game since it's also like discrediting Abueva's strategy to find an open shot. Even Greg is there, Abueva can still make that shot. It's another "what if". We are just discussing things mate, healthy discussion. Part of an active and healthy thread. Moving forward to the next game, Alaska has 3 days straight schedule which starts yesterday. They are always hit with delayed schedules so it turned out like that.

Yeah, chances are they might not win any ballgame this conference and they are the record holder as of now for consecutive losses. They are now locked to get the number one pick next rookie draft, hope they can find someone to help them win games and not sell to MVP companies.
