1161  Other / Archival / Re: ➡️➡️ [ANN] | [banned mixer] | BITCOIN MIXER ⬅️⬅️ on: December 13, 2023, 12:42:47 PM
It's their blog so they can write whatever they want, but zengo wallet and ledger nano X hardware wallet are probably one of the worst suggestions I ever saw for ''Anonymous Bitcoin Wallets'', whatever that means.
If it has nothing to do with your service than don't write blog articles about them, and don't make posts about them in forum.
1162  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin's privacy battle and an ominous warning to the community on: December 13, 2023, 11:03:38 AM
so it would've meant that a bitcointalk user reported it, which doesn't make sense.
It makes sense to me.
Not all bitcointalk members have good intentions, and some of them have nothing better to do in life than to report stuff they don't like or support.
I am sure hosting providers now have AI bots, so that could also be one of the reasons.
1163  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE Raffle] SATOCHIP - Exclusive 14th Years Bitcointalk Special Edition 1 on: December 13, 2023, 10:47:38 AM
kind of like laminating it?
Yeah, that is the word I was looking for, thermal laminating Cheesy
Even small vacuum bags should work fine for protection and for keeping cards in good condition, and you can easily remove the items whenever you want.

I have snagged a few SatoChip cards! I can't wait to get my hands on these fantastic cards. Design work always hits the mark, especially with the anniversary touches – the forum, Bitcoin founder Satoshi. Thanks for another awesome creation!
Nice.
What quote version card you like the most?

EDIT:
Interesting that Satoshi posted his last message on bitcointalk forum 13 years ago!

1164  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitMixList.org - Bitcoin Mixer List on: December 13, 2023, 10:27:49 AM
Onion link still works fine for me.
I heard good things about Flokinet that is located in Iceland, they have strict no-kyc policy and they won't ask you for any personal information.
Last time I checked they are still accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency payments.
There are few other alternatives available so dyor before choosing next host, you don't want to move data all the time Wink
1165  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin's privacy battle and an ominous warning to the community on: December 13, 2023, 10:10:12 AM
I discovered that my web host, Hostinger, had suspended access
Hostinger is probably one of the worst web hosting providers I know, so better look for some alternative option that is more bitcoin friendly (there are few of them available).
Maybe start with kycnot.me with their list of hosting providers.
You should also think about renaming, and using more neutral domain name.

And despite being able to clearly see the domain registration information, they insist on me on performing business KYC so that I can host a blog about mixers?
Crazy!
It's not like you are the owner of any services you listed on your website.

It is ironic this web host has a problem with hosting blogs about mixers, and yet they are perfectly fine with  hosting Tor exit nodes which are perhaps used for real illegal activity.
Tor is in the grey zone, it was made by government and they also use it, so they can't simply ban it that easy, and they don't want to do that.

There were people here joking about requiring KYC to use the forum, which was ironically the subject of an April Fools joke, but now this is serious, we are actually seeing more and more hosting providers requiring KYC to post stuff that they have an issue with, or just booting you off the network (*cough* AWS).
It's no joke.
Some people are working real hard on implementing kyc to entire Internet, so you won't be able to use it if you are not ''verified''  Tongue
They have deadline for this and it's 2030... so don't be surprised if you see this soon, for ''our own protection'' against ''evil enemy hackers''  Roll Eyes

Honestly, the above made me shocked, but not upset. What really made me angry was that I had received explicit permission from their compliance team to host a website about mixers, and suddenly they do a 180° as soon as I got traffic.
Maybe someone reported you and your website  Tongue
1166  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: December 13, 2023, 09:25:17 AM
Hi there TryNinja.
I think I noticed one bug or flaw for Ninjastic Space website, and I will try to explain it below.
Most members know that Ratimov changed his user name to Symmetrick some time ago, before his account changed hands.
Now, when I enter his username (old or new), or his UID number, I can still see his profile fine with all his previous posts.
Problem is that all addresses he ever posted or mentioned are now gone, and there is no history, so is there a way to fix this?

1167  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 49 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: December 12, 2023, 08:30:32 PM
Added 3 new features to the Hardware Wallets comparison
Imagine having no coin control in hardware wallet  Roll Eyes
Well anyone who purchase new Bitkey hardware wallet won't have that option, but they are not the only one.
I was surprised to see that many other hardware wallets don't have this basic feature available, to name some:
Ellipal all models, D'cent, Cypherock, SecuX all models, Ngrave, Prokey, Safepal all models, Keevo, Tangem, CoolWallet, etc.

PS
Bitkey is obviously not open source, according to their website, and latest statements.
1168  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Square is considering making a hardware wallet for Bitcoin on: December 12, 2023, 08:21:19 PM
Even if none of its cons existed, I would've still said it's way too overpriced.
You forgot about inflation part, so price is not such a big problem for me here.
$150 today is not the same like $150 few years ago, and most hardware wallets are starting around $100 price target and up.

This part surprises me the most... A few months back, they partnered with Coinbase and integrated their services into their app, but for some reason, they're not using Coinbase Commerce on their website
I though Jack Dorsey was a ''bitcoiner''... but than I remember never to trust what anyone say in public, especially if he was involved in big social media business.

Seems like all the concerns we raised multiple times in this thread have been completely ignored and Block have powered ahead with the worst possible combination of features.
I see a bunch of people on twitter ordering this stuff, so I won't be surprised if it gets sold-out quickly  Roll Eyes

I asked one of their leads on Twitter who replied "Yes we still plan to publish our code before we ship" (https://x.com/max_guise/status/1732808300427690113?s=20)
There is no a single word about code on their website, and that usually means it's not open source.
Don't trust, verify.
1169  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Stack wallet for mobile? on: December 12, 2023, 07:57:43 PM
Stack Wallet provides the latest updates with the addition of Cashfusion Functionality
Cashfusion is for BCH right?
I don't know who still uses BCH in 2023/24,except maybe Roger Ver and his friends  Cheesy

The mechanism seems to be almost the same as the Bitcoin Mixer, but CashFusino combines other people's transactions causing confusion.
Except we are not talking about Bitcoin here.  Tongue
This would be possible to have in Bitcoin, but fees would be unacceptably high.

If you are using Stack wallet, do you know if maybe they have coin control option for Bitcoin in their app?
I couldn't find anything about that on their website and github page.

EDIT:
I can confirm there is Coin control and PayNym available in Stack wallet, but for each new added shitcoin you need to generate separate seed words  Roll Eyes
1170  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: KYC methods which make identity theft more difficult - are they possible? on: December 12, 2023, 07:48:47 PM
Do other such methods exist which still allow an trustable verification making identity theft difficult? Are there examples in the Bitcoin/crypto service world?
There are some blockchain solutions that allow verification that proves you are a real person (not a bot) without exposing your real identity.
I don't know of any other method for verification that is used anywhere else, but I guess in theory personal information can be split in several parts, encrypted and kept on blockchain.
That would mean there is no single point of failure, and nothing could be hacked to steal your data, except maybe getting partial information.
IPFS aka InterPlanetary File System, or something similar, could be used for storing information like this.
1171  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 12, 2023, 07:04:43 PM
He might have had another account for a while... he bragged about making 3 BTC on the forum but the math doesn't add up, he would have needed 2-3 accounts to do that Grin
Maybe, maybe not, but having multiple accounts is not against the rules Wink
Earning 3 bitcoins in 4 years is/was not impossible task for high ranked members.
He could also earn bitcoin from campaigns, sell it on market top, and buy back again when price drops, that also counts I guess.
I think I remember him saying he was using leverage trading on several exchange.

PS
Another thing worth checking is other accounts he sent most merits.
1172  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE Raffle] SATOCHIP - Exclusive 14th Years Bitcointalk Special Edition 1 on: December 12, 2023, 06:49:10 PM
At first I thought I would have used it as wallet, also purchased a card reader, unsealed outside packaging because couldn't wait to see the carsd with my eyes but once I saw it I changed my mind.
It's too cool to allow it to deteriorate with use and time by handling it.
I agree, this card looks very cool, but you can still use it once or twice for long term cold storage Wink
I think your card is number 1 from this limited series, and I think that makes it even more special.
Small tip: You don't even have to buy card reader if you have professional laptop with integrated card readers, something like older Lenovo Thinkpads work great for this purpose.

you could put in one these type cases - holds credit card sized collectibles fairly well - I have ballets, scamkeys, icarus cards, various crypto stamps (some of my CS are too large) other wallets such as boltcards, satscards, tangem wallets (some older tangems are too long to fit) and a few others as well.
There is also inexpensive machine (can't remember exact name) that can print plastic cases similar like this, but you won't be able to use the card unless you cut the plastic off.

Satochip cards are currently back in stock but with few different quotes, and with very limited numbers, so check them out.

1173  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 12, 2023, 04:16:07 PM
Let's say (for the sake of the argument) that Ratimov indeed sold the account and someone else is controlling it now, wouldn't that person try to go under the radar in order not to be detected? I am asking because that account is allegedly more aggressive than Ratimov used to be (who we know already has anger issues) and that behaviour doesn't make much sense to me from someone who tries to profit from the newly acquired account.
Do you remember last time when he posted in English part of the forum?
Several members called him out during this time and there was several topics about him in Reputation, but he never replied anything as far as I know.
He was obviously trying to stay under the radar here, while pretending to be angry old owner in russian local board.
To me is clear and obvious that account changed hands sometimes in November.
However, I don't think he is gone for good, he probably uses some different account now, maybe someone (or AI) recognizes his writing style in future.

1174  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 12, 2023, 04:00:26 PM
A ban on wearing a signature will be added, equal to at least 2 years minus however long you were banned.
Nice catch, but I hope you understand that you are going to have to work more replying to all the people who appeal  Wink
This is not a bad idea, but I wonder if new unban second chance is going to be applied only for plagiarism cases or for anything else,
let's say if someone was talking about ''things'' that are not allowed in forum anymore, or for posting a link?

I'm guessing most of those who take this offer won't last a year before they find themselves banned again -- they are cheaters at heart and can't help themselves.
I think you are right about this, but there are probably few exceptions from this rule.
Most genuine users banned by mistake are probably gone forever, but I could be wrong.

1175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A first Bitcoin block explorer. How it looks like? on: December 12, 2023, 03:40:32 PM
What is the first Bitcoin block explorer in history?
It is built by theymos. Are you surprised?  Cheesy
Interesting, I didn't know about that fact.
It looks very basic without bitcoin addresses on main page and without extra features we have today, but it was useful back in the days.
Just look at all those regular 50 BTC transactions that are now worth more than $2 million dollars each Cool
1176  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: December 12, 2023, 11:54:47 AM

1177  Economy / Reputation / Re: My 10 Year ( and some days) Bitcointalk Anniversary on: December 11, 2023, 08:34:56 PM
Congrats on your 10th birthday hopenotlate!
It's funny that yesterday it was was my 6th birthday in Bitcointalk forum, so I guess I have to prepare for next year when I am going to school. Wink
Time flies so fast, but this was/is one heck of a ride for sure.
1178  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any reliable virtual crypto debit card right now? on: December 11, 2023, 08:24:26 PM
I have been using visual card from chainge finance for some time now and it's been very pleasant, no single issues at all
You mean virtual Visa card right?
Can you use this cards on most websites, even on paypal, aliexpress, etc, or there are some limitations?

btw I saw several complains how their wallet is not working correctly and it does not recognize previously generated seed words, so be careful with this.
I had some free time, went ahead with creating wallet, generated seed words, but I could not finish wallet creation because they say my seed phrase was incorrect.
And I am 100% sure I used correct identical words I wrote on piece of paper previously, so something is seriously wrong with this wallet app.  Tongue
1179  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitMixList.com - Bitcoin Mixer List on: December 11, 2023, 07:51:46 PM
I think you should include official onion links for each website next to the clearnet links.
Another thing I would add on top of the page is date when last update of information happened, as we know how things quickly change in this business Wink
Mixhub.to is also doing a nice job with his list, and I see he has no plans for long term updating, so maybe you two could work together on this.
1180  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: QryptoCard: Elevate Your Transactions, No KYC Hassles up 1000$!!! on: December 11, 2023, 07:41:19 PM
On the same page, you're asking your users to accept the "Terms & Conditions" without having one
Now ain't that funny, but who needs Terms & Conditions anyway Cheesy
I tried to create one card for testing and first I saw that everything on website is written on French language, so I had to switch to eniglish.
Than when I tried to create card I received big red warning sign that something is missing... so it's impossible to enter details and create card.
I tried in different browsers, so this was not error or my side for sure.
