Sometimes team can be faked out even if they are "complete" as an organization from CEO/President/CFO down to the employees.
I encountered plenty of red flags in project back in 2018 and they were almost all reported in Scam Accusation. Good thing I was not a full-time investor within those days.
For clear platform, the website and landing page should be at least professional and free from spelling error. Some stupid projects in the days were not even hosted properly just like in the previous shitcoin in here where it redirected me to a file manager of the website's CMS.

Same boat as yours there.
New ATH is what I was waiting for as well before my next sell. I am not bothered in the slightest to what is the market even doing this time. It might not make us rich actually, but the return would be hella worth it.
That includes my small amounts getting from SCs. I hold some of them along with the one that I isolated in a separate wallet.
1263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: May 03, 2022, 09:10:42 PM

I wouldn't even refer people here in the forum if they are primarily aiming to get their first crypto. New users have been seeing this forum wrong already. Maybe faucets would do, but it is kind of a hard work and it might not even be worth it if they get the minimum.
Cheap tokens out there could be bought, but not for the long-term.

Just like what others mentioned in here, it is going to contribute your way into ranking up. About being influential, oh boy tell me about it when it was first implemented back in 2018 and many newbies were like merit-fishing by creating a lot of merit threads in Meta section. Many users are too desperate into ranking up for obvious reasons.
You shouldn't worry about it too much. Think of it as upvoting in Reddit which gives karma points.

I recall back in the days when I had created Use Case for our project in the University and thank goodness that it went through. Use Case would give knowledge to investors on what they are about to interact in the project. It is like sort of DFD/ERD kind of stuff, but more understandable without any technical knowledge in the project. It is a client-oriented diagram if that is what I can call it.

I would be wary about "Community" though. I work in freelancing sites, and there are clients there needing someone to just boost their community and they do not even need to invest any single penny. Who knows if that community is indeed solid or just faked out participants.
1266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't ever quit your job to trade crypto. on: May 03, 2022, 07:05:19 PM
It makes sense if we quit our main job to get other more commensurate income including trading compared to the results of our main job. I ruled out signature campaigning as a job because it's a side job, but specifically for trading, we can actually make it a better job compared to $50-$100 for your main job monthly salary.

Of course there is a risk that we must bear in the long term but you can still start a new business from the results you get from trading such as opening a new business that you are interested in. But I believe there is always a way to survive the main job in the real world especially since we can trade not 24 hours a day.
I see your point there. People should not be tunnel-visioned on how much they are earning in something that is not going to last in the long-term. Establishing a business is also a risky, but if it takes off, it surely is going to be a rewarding and you might not even need to work more than 3 hours just to generate revenue once your business matures.
1267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with projects that imitate airdrops and their sales. on: May 02, 2022, 09:15:24 PM

It would be quite tricky for some people not paying attention to much to details. I am going to admit that that I did not notice the missing "a" in the Twitter handle in the first place.
When I open Twitter, I usually just look into the name and handle itself then follower count then continue to scroll down to the oblivion and I know there would be some people similar to me when it comes to that.
Good thing I don't invest to these anymore.
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: May 01, 2022, 04:16:08 AM
~
Obviously as what others mentioned in here, there is no direct connection between 2fa and your usual crypto transaction so no, OP.
Since the transaction went through already, I would be more concerned on the current device that you are using since the hacker could possibly more damage which I hope I am wrong. Either do a virus scan or clean install of your device.
Start from there then start implementing 2FA and PIN if you really wish for an extra layer of security.
1269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with projects that imitate airdrops and their sales. on: May 01, 2022, 04:12:49 AM
Yeah, but I don't think all of them are bots or whatnot. There are users i followed following the account (since its visible checking using your account), even a verified account too lol. So there's a bigger  chance that this was a hacked account like what other incidents who copied elon profile and do fake giveaway.
Can Twitter accounts profile name and Twitter handles be changed? I have not touched my Twitter that much so I am not particularly sure.
If it is possible, this could possibly be a legitimate account with a lot of followers, not related to Project Galaxy or whatever that project is, but was bought by someone for this kind of purpose.
In Facebook, pages can be sold and I had some meme pages I followed back in the days that just changed their name into something that I was not even aware of until I checked the old posts.

I thought were over between Elon Musk and crypto space era. Was that like an early 2022 thing like in January? I can recall people still going crazy over a Twitter celebrity. Elon Musk is just another influencer at the end of the day. I respect the guy for his founding of Tesla, but I don't like how some of his are easily emotionally manipulated by everything he tweets in Twitter.
It's insane.
I wonder if people in cryptocurrency would never recognize the guy if he did not mention anything about crypto.
1271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trustable currency on: April 30, 2022, 09:51:51 PM
~
This is what bothers me from some people's thoughts, maybe due to the cheap price that they get from buying other shitcoins out there, they think that they are obligated to buy a whole Bitcoin in order to get started. It is just the same thing as other people thinking that they need to start with $500 to get started in trading of any sorts.
Everyone starts from the bottom of the barrel, unless you are really coming from a millionaire family and you might not even need to work at all anymore.
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trustable currency on: April 30, 2022, 08:45:01 PM
Bitcoin as what others mentioned.  If purely non-Bitcoin stuffs, it would be ETH for me. I had never touched a lot of coins out there due to me being critical of how I handle my money.
I won't trust any new shitcoins out there that are claiming that they are "purely" decentralized and they are purely hyped. Hype won't guarantee any safety in my money.
1273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do some project developers like copying on: April 30, 2022, 08:42:42 PM
~
It's an attempt to milk out the hype, OP. Even if you provide what you think you will like, you cannot make people like what you provide.  After IEOs just died out, all of the projects suddenly went NFTs and whatever Metaverse is because that's the thing right now and nobody would want an obsolete stuffs.
Even businesses outside crypto are doing this, a coffee shop would turn out to be a pure milk tea shop even if they have coffee shop in their names. This is why I don't want to visit any of these coffee shop anymore.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 29, 2022, 08:06:55 PM

This. I like this response to be honest. Either way, what is the point of regretting not to be here early if that won't even help you and your money grow.
Just buy the dip and hodl and who knows if you become like the OG investors back in the days.
Just like how generations get passed into, lol.
1275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Never store your coin on exchange!!! on: April 29, 2022, 07:53:13 PM

Are you sure that those "issues" are being solved? They can just claim that they are not experiencing any hacks and do a cover-up story to just avoid people ruining their reputation. You should buy coins there and do your usual trading, but don't ever hold them.
As long as you're interacting with someone's code, you're not guaranteed to be safe. There is no perfect security, mate.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was last crypto bear market on: April 29, 2022, 01:03:52 AM
~
For altcoins, it would be a hell of a time and I am not surprised that people would feel the same back in those days. Although I am more of a rational person than emotional, it still hurts to think that my portfolio is not doing great lately.
Good thing I remember I was investing in Bitcoin and not another shitcoin in the market.
God, those losses that day...
1277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New generational scamming system in form of airdrops on: April 29, 2022, 01:02:02 AM
~
Obviously just from the logo and the names of these, I can see that they are not serious about what they're doing anyways especially MetaMusk, really? They can just claim any day that they are decentralized so that people can feel the comfort of false freedom, but no they still have the means to lock it whenever they wanted.
This is nothing new, OP. It is just like one of those IEO airdrops back in the days.
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto profits on: April 28, 2022, 07:15:55 PM
~
I would not use crypto for my daily needs if I already have permanent food. I can use partly my crypto profits in some stuffs that I "want". Careful of buying other coins out there though. It could have great potential, but it would be a shitcoin if it is always in the low price.
@OP It is just matter of how everyone manages their finance.
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins or CBDCs? on: April 28, 2022, 07:13:41 PM
If stablecoins are already proven to be successful, why re-invent the wheel with the launch of a new government-backed digital currency? Can't just governments back stablecoins themselves and avoid all of the hassle of creating new digital Fiat currencies from scratch?

What do you think the future of stablecoins will look like after CBDCs are launched? Will they die in the end or will they co-exist with CBDCs? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
They can't since they are not the one that initiated it in the first place. Maybe due to the limitation of their control to stablecoins out there, that's why they can't back it up.
Pretty sure that they just wanted an absolute control over the whole stablecoins.
I had personally never went too much with stablecoins, but I don't think we should be worried in stablecoins in the future of CBDC's launch. It is the same thing as worrying cryptos future after bank cards had launched as well as digital payments out there.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: April 27, 2022, 08:19:22 PM

I never earned from those back in the days and it is just another stressful task that might even risk your account getting locked due to scam since you're most likely to share a lot of content made by the project devs.
Not sure how strict Facebook and Twitter scam moderations are, since I reported some in the past, but I wouldn't risk my account just for a shitcoin that I cannot even use after its listing in exchange due to investors just dumping the crap off of the coin.
