1601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 21, 2022, 09:46:13 AM
If he will win this fight that means he is back and people will feel his presence. If he wasn't disqualified, he is still a champion now, so it's still like Casimero the champion here, and fighting a challenger. Though it's a new division, I think Casimero is more comfortable here and he will have an impressive win for his comeback.

Who are betting here for Casimero to KO his opponent in less than 6 rounds?

He can win this one if he did some extensive training that will gonna give him a more comfortable easy fight as soon as he steps in the ring, He needs to do it right this time not showing any negativity because so far, he hasn't even got a good fight after disqualifications any other reasons. We know how cocky Casimero is but he only does that for promotions and to gain some fans he is doing it wrong and the result is not really good when it comes to getting what he wants in the boxing industry. This time he should try to be professional if he wants some changes in his career.

Love him or hate him, that is the character that Casimero wanted to portray in his boxing career. But the good thing is that he can back up his words because we have seen him knocking out his opponent, and so he remain very cocky.

And with that, and as we have seen lately, he still calls Inoue and perhaps that his dream fight because they should have face at 118 lbs, but not going to happen. But at least we still have a chance to see them in the ring when they go up to 122 lbs. This is just one step of Casimero and I think he can win this fight and not surprised if he will knock out his opponent.
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: November 21, 2022, 12:49:55 AM
@Yaunfitda. Agreed. They might not be the champions and the kings of their weight divisions, however, they have the biggest names. This is very much similar to Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz in the UFC, I reckon. It can also be argued that this fight might be as big or bigger than Spence vs. Crawford in excitement and expectation for the fans.

Yeah, they might not be champions but this is what hard core fans of this sweet science is longing for as well as the ordinary fans, they want to see toe to toe actions which for me this fight if pushes through could deliver the actions. I reckon that this is an even match, though Davis is the experienced fighter but Garcia has the size advantage that if used well could make life hard for Davis.

I just hope though that this would push through this time and not just hype on social media and end up like the Spence vs Crawford negotiation.

True, no belts, at least the regular one and yet this is one of the most anticipated fight, everyone is waiting for this, just like when we are all excited by the Spence vs Crawford fight. And I do agree that this is a 50:50 fight in my book, as Tank and Ryan possesses power in this division, the fight is going to be made in a catchweight of 136 lbs. As Ryan said he can't make it to 135 lbs no more and if I'm not mistaken he fought Tagoe at a catchweight at well. While Garcia fought at 135 lbs against Rolly Romero, he has a experience fighting at 140 lbs against Barrios.

Meaning, this might be Ryan Garcia's last fight in lightweight division because he cannot be fighting always on a catchweight until he will reach Devin Haney. One last dance just to fight Gervonta Davis, and if Ryan Garcia will win, he will eventually vacate that regular belt because as time go by he cannot achieve the weight needed in lightweight anymore. But that is still a challenge because Davis might not have the size but he have the ring IQ because of his experience he attained throughout the years, still a very interesting fight.

That's probably what he is thinking that's why he keep on pushing for a Tank Davis fight at 135 or 136 lbs catchweight because that could be very well his last fight at his division and what a better way to fight Tank.

For the record though, Davis doesn't have the regular belts, all the belts in with Haney. So whatever belt that will be put in line, it's nothing. This fight is probably for the money, these 2 are superstars in this division, the cash cow, not Haney, not Loma. And that is why fans are already hype as early when they hear the news that finally this fight is going to happen next year.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 20, 2022, 09:09:29 AM
The number 1 and number 2 seed of the West is playing right now.
Despite Utah Jazz playing back-to-back games they still look energetic and are in a good lead against the Portland Trail Blazers.

I am amazed though how big of a change these Trail Blazers become. The addition of Jerami Grant is a game-changer and so does their rookie Shaedon Sharpe who has been stepping up his game whenever he is given more minutes.
Now Dame will just need to be healthy all season long to preserve their winning momentum. Their bench is deep but it's still better if he is present.

And the Jazz won again, and their 2 best players is Clarkson and and Markkanen, again this Jazz really surprises us all in the West as they are top.

Unfortunately, initially reports says that Dame might have reinjured himself again, aggravated that calf muscle that has been bothering him. So this is a bad news for the TrailBlazers whose also a revelation this season. They might have to play again without him for the next weeks and see how serious his injury is. Hopefully it is not and that he just needed some rest to be able to recuperate.

Jazz knows how to win. Jordan Clarkson, Lauri Markkanen and Malik Beasley managed to beat Portland comfortably with their points. I think it was a comfortable game because they were always superior in all periods except the first period. At Portland, their contribution to the basket was split among many players, but they never took the lead in the game. I agree with you about the injury and I think they should go on without it. I hope it doesn't turn out as we expected and he gets better soon.

Yes, that three is now making a killing in Utah, I thought that Clarkson will be traded as well, but it seems he settled down very quick as the go to guy for the Jazz. And with the acquisition of  Lauri Markkanen, they have turned into a great contender. But we will have to wait, the old Jazz team choke in the playoff, so we will see if the same will happen with the Jordan Clarkson lead Utah Jazz now. Hope that Lilard will come back, don't what to see him down again with the same injury.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: November 20, 2022, 08:14:08 AM
I also voted for Beterviev to win this fight by KO/TKO. No offense to Yarde, but I don't think him and Beterviev is on the same level. Yes Beterviev is 37 years old but this dude is one scary boxer. So I wouldn't be surprised if he wins by KO/TKO here and Yarde's chin not holding up against Beterviev's power.

Yarde might give some test on Beterviev early on, but when Beterviev got his groove and combination, he will be hard to stop as he throw everything with bad intent.

And probably sports bookies will favor Beterviev by a huge margin as far as the odds.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana rise again? on: November 19, 2022, 08:47:00 PM
I think Solana still have hope. Infact some Crypto-currency enthusiast I respect so much are seeing this as an opportunity, well don't get your guard down make sure you do your own research. I think Solana what greatly involved in FTX exchange and what is experiencing right now is a mixture of the already poor market and the events unfolding on FTX exchange.

Well that's what everyone is saying, or at least the people behind involved in a project that goes down. The thing with Solana is that there have been a lot of negative news, like Hacks and then the whole FTX in which their name is being drag.

I think Solana has a large community and since it's not an official coin of the FTX exchange it can definitely bounce back, generally coins in the crypto space now aren't having the best of times.

And that big community as well will tilt the balance in the other side if they see that Solana is a big risk to put their money right now.
1606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions, predictions, predictions... on: November 19, 2022, 08:30:02 PM
I predict that a lot of users who think they own Bitcoin on exchanges are going to be very unhappy to discover they don’t. Exchanges are playing hot potato with user funds trying to provide proof of reserves while in reality they’ve sold you Bitcoin IOUs and likely aren’t holding anywhere near the BTC they’ve sold you. If you haven’t taken your funds off an exchange yet and you’re reading this, mentally prepare yourself for a total loss, because it’s coming.

I think we all have been reminded that we should take our crypto or bitcoin out of exchange, the whole landscape has been changing since the collapse of FTX.

And exchanges now are hard pressed to proved that they have the assets to cover, like what Binance and CZ did. But still not an assurance that everything is well. Meaning that we are still in a volatile position right now and the price will blew off again if there will be a big negative news coming in this bear market. So there is still a big possibility that $10k can be hit in my opinion.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 19, 2022, 08:04:36 PM
On the other hand Dwight Howard was having fun in a Taiwan Basket League. He did a great job entertaining the crowd. I guess that was a sold out arena, all because of him.
It's just funny how he took more 3s in that game than in his whole career in the NBA. Not a bad thing though, as he is exploring to expand his range.

I was very surprised by the news when I first heard it. Dwight Howard could still find a place in many NBA teams, but I don't understand why no team signed him. In Taiwan, it's like a one man show. He's having fun and entertaining, and he's got a good contract. Normally, although there is an upper limit in the Taiwan League, a special law has been enacted for him and he is provided with a higher salary.
I wonder what will happen to Carmelo Anthony. He may be a good bench player, but for some reason no team is willing to do so. There are also claims that he can go to one of the European leagues. Personally, I would love to continue watching him in the NBA.

Definitely, we still want to see Carmelo in the NBA, although he is no longer in his prime, but he can still contribute just like what he did with the Lakers last season, he had games wherein he score 20++ points.

So it really up to him, to stay and wait if there will be an offer. Still hoping though that the Knicks will give him a second chance. I thought that he will play with them this season but it didn't go. But yeah, maybe after the all star break when body has been bruises, some team might find Carmelo, and be uses as coming from the bench players.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 19, 2022, 12:41:01 PM

Meanwhile, the WBC mandated 122 WBO/WBC champ Stephen Fulton to rematch Brandon Figueroa at 126 for the WBC interim belt. Should Fulton accepts the mandate, his 2 122 belts might become vacant which is a good opportunity for Casimero and even for Inoue. Maybe Casimero and Inoue will fight for a vacant belt right away.

This is good news for both Inoue and Casimero as they have vacant belts which they can look forward to even if they don't meet right away.

I hope this will happen, for sure Inoue will go for that belt and if Casimero will be the best challenger for him, that would make the fight perfect as their supposed fight did not happen in the bantamweight division but it will happen in a heavier division. I'm looking forward to this, let us keep updated on this news, and thanks for sharing by the way.

Guess if that is the case, it's better if Casimero will have the belt in 122 lbs before eventually facing Inoue. Because both could really be motivated to take each other heads off, Casimero again calling for Inoue and if everything went as plan, (him winning against Akaho, Fulton vacating his belt, and then Casimero getting a chance to get a title or eliminator). So lot of good opportunity for Casimero, he just need to take this 1st step of getting a win in this division.
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 19, 2022, 12:03:43 PM
And then those who bet on the Heat at -1.5, just a shade shy though. Very good game but the Wizards win at the end. Celtics continuing with their run.

It was very close and a very defensive game, imagine, both teams only score a total of 5 points in the overtime period.  Shocked

I haven't watch the game, but it went to OT, but as usual Heat is a good defensive team, but the big 3 of Wizards produce more than 50% of their score, Beal, Kuz and KP scores 20+ points or more.

Oh and the 5 points is combine for both team, not sure if that is the lowest we have seen so far this season in a OT game.
1610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Balances on Exchanges - Sudden rise in the balance of Binance on: November 18, 2022, 09:17:27 PM
Good day everyone,

since the collapse of FTX we had many discussion about people withdrawing their Bitcoin from exchanges. You can check the balances here https://www.coinglass.com/Balance.
We went from 2.1 million BTC all the way down to 1.9 million BTC.

Until yesterday Binance was one of the biggest looser with over 80k BTC withdrawn over the last 30 days. Coinbase was ranked first, but also with massive loses. Nearly all exchanges lost huge amounts, fitting perfectly in the narrative of people withdrawing their bitcoin.

But suddenly in the last 24 hours Binance added and incredible 92,000 Bitcoin to their exchange an amount never seen before on the exchange (according to coinglass, and if you check the last 12 months). I found very little info about that, and all nearly other exchanges are still getting their balance reduces.

Do we have some info about that or any idea whats going on?

Or maybe Binance or CZ wanted to show their "proof of reserves" or whatever he calls it?

But there are still outflows and inflows that we really don't know what's going on behind the scene, and everyone is upbeat because of what had happened to FTX. And I guess this is going to continue, until everything settles down.

1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DeSo a better Twitter? on: November 18, 2022, 08:50:06 PM
This concept isn't new. There are some websites already where you interact with another users through posts and articles while being possible to earn money with this. Examples: Medium and Publish0x.

Futurely Twitter may add the tipping feature to the platform as well.

Therefore, in my opinion it's hard for a new platform offering this same feature to thrive. It's a very banal usage for justifying the launchment of a new altcoin, since you can already have access to consolidated websites like the ones mentioned above.

Yes, I was about to same Medium, because that's the first thing that comes into my mind about this so called decentralized platform.

But to be honest, they are not doing any good as well, they have been in the market though, but not the kind of consensus that we have seen in Twitter. Not saying that they are bad, but perhaps since everyone is on Twitter I doubt that we need another one in the market that will really turn things around, just saying.

So for this is a risk, you can used it but who's going to used or read it?
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 18, 2022, 08:21:05 PM
Arum is a genius, so yeah for sure he won't let that happen unless the champion is weak, but Fulton is no pushover. So I'm expecting Arum to just pick someone that can easily be beaten by Inoue by knockout or by another impressive win.

We should step aside politics here if Inoue won't face the super bantamweight champions right away once he moved up. It's just makes sense to not expect Inoue goes directly against the champions because after all, he is new in that division even though it's just a small leap. Testing the waters is just a usual way for someone who just moved up so don't blame Arum if that will happen right away.

Inoue just has to continue his winnings and soon, he will now finally have a chance to face those champions.

Inoue has a chance to face other champion as we all know his skills and knowledge about in boxing game and also his speed and strategies is recommendable to fight against another champion he is unstoppable right now I believe on inoue to hold another title for sure he can win and hold it  and for sure bob arum will give him a good fight and if he win then another title to b hold just in my opinion.

There has been no doubt about Inoue's prowess, speed and reaction towards his opponent, the monster is expected to evolve with the experience he gains from every fight he had. Even if you ask the so-called experts or even Bob Arum, they will all say the same thing that the current Inoue is in-fact already battle ready for the champions in the super-bantam. But Bob Arum has a job to do and that is to keep Inoue much safer, Inoue should be first get used in the weight as there is also no need for him to be in a hurry.

Just finished watching Inoue vs Moloney fight, Inoue is really something, his hands are that fast and has power and the timing as well. Although Moloney did hit him with some good shots, still Inoue was not affected. So not sure how long will Butler last if he taste Inoue's power.

I'm thinking that this fight will not really last, initially I thought that Butler is tough and might stay at least 6 rounds.

But now I have doubts about it, maybe under 7.5 rounds.

1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: November 18, 2022, 12:21:33 PM
^ Correct me if I'm wrong though, isn't it the relationship between Tim and his legendary father is not that good? At least that's how I got it from the news and he has been in boxing without his father's help or influence in his career. So I don't know if he will learn from him father since he is not with his side in any of his fight.

However, Tim can't deny that he has his father DNA and that might be enough to bring him to greatness.

Yes, hard fought match and so it's starts with finding a good sparring partner in order to better prepare him in this fight.
1615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 17, 2022, 08:52:55 PM
I'd say that Spence should secure a rematch clause just to be sure if ever Thurman will indeed manage to upset Spence because I can see that Thurman might face another boxer instead if he's through with Spence as there's no clause that will block his way. Just a wild speculation though! Cheesy

That makes sense, it's indeed better for Spence to do that and secure a rematch clause if ever the fight won't go as expected, just an added safety precaution so that Thurman will be obliged to fight him again. There's a high percentage that Thurman will move on and maybe fight Crawford next if he will upset Spence. However, if Spence here and his camp is really that confident that he can defeat the former champion then there's no need for that.

Not sure though if that is going to be included, they are under PBC as far as I know. So both of them could simply request for a rematch if the fight ended in a controversial manner. And Al Haymon would love it, as the money will all be in house.

I'm still not seeing the odds for this fight though, but I think Spence will be the outstanding favorite in this fight as Thurman has been out for many months after his comeback win against Barrios.
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2022, 08:21:41 PM
Knicks had a great win in Denver on the road.  Yep Denver was without jokic but going out west in Denver is never easy no matter the lineup.  2-0 on the west coast trip they need to get some wins behind them and clear space between being .500

Thibs is now locked into a 9 man rotation which seems to be working.  They go into golden state Friday night, I'm not expecting much from that visit but that's why they play the games right!  Glad nba is getting underway, fall is always the best season for sports.

It's good that they got a win against the Denver team, but obviously, they don't have their MVP and it was a very close game.

But against the Warriors at home, it might be tough for them. Curry just drop 50 points but they lost on the road against the Phoenix Suns.

For sure they want to have a good bounce in their own homecourt so as much as we wanted for the Knicks to upset the Warriors, it will be hard pressed for them.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: November 17, 2022, 07:50:21 PM
Do you have this kind of casino?
I don't have this kind of casino yet or have not yet discovered it, but if I do I would treasure it and be afraid of the day that my lucky casino will start yielding disappointing results. But during my time with while my Lucky casino is still bringing me luck, I would not mind playing a lot. The bad thing I think is that there will be no way to know the exact day my luck with my lucky casino will run out.

For me all crypto based casinos are all the same, if you are a slot machine player, obviously you know that this is based on pure luck so no matter where you play or what casino you are in, it doesn't matter, it's based on random and you just hope that you are getting lucky that day.

Same for sports betting, maybe the odds are different, but you are all betting on the same game at that particular moment,  so it doesn't matter on what platform you are playing, the outcome is what is important, just saying.
1618  Economy / Speculation / Re: what caused the bitcoin price to drop today? on: November 17, 2022, 07:31:43 PM
today i saw bitcoin price going down, and i want to ask everyone, what caused bitcoin to go down? Is it because the world economy is in decline or not?
Are you worried about bitcoin dropping to $16k right now? What is causing bitcoin to go down right now is the panic that is happening to some people because they think that with the much negative news about bitcoin or crypto out there. The world economy is indeed shaken and it is a possibility that it will decline and it looks like it will impact bitcoin. But bitcoin will rise again, and you don't need to worry and stay patient. This is a normal correction that happens in crypto, giving investors an opportunity to return to investing at low prices because this may be their last chance before the price starts to increase.

Yeah, I think everyone is worried about the sudden decline of the price, if I'm not mistaken, we are in sort of a good run reaching $21k then suddenly the price goes down hard to $18k then the current price that we have.

So there could be others feeling nervous because of the massive drop, nevertheless, for experience investors, this is a good time to buy and invest, for newbie, all they want is to get out. And so the best advise that we can give to them is not to worry and just be patience and invest and look for the long haul. We are in a bear market, so it's just normal to see the price going down to -70% or higher just like the previous bearish cycle.
1619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF BEGGED INVESTORS on: November 17, 2022, 07:11:22 PM
I don't think that begging will be enough from SBF to be able to salvage his FTX, he has caused a lot of money from investors, so I highly doubt that anyone is willing to lend him a hand right now.

It's his own wrong doings, he mismanage everything, he didn't have the money to begin with, all is running on fractional reserves and so when withdrawals happens, those who left their money behind can't withdraw and the messed started. For me it's time for SBF to be not delusional, but man enough to face the consequences of his actions.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 16, 2022, 09:33:11 PM
It's good to see Pacquiao back in the ring even though it's a promotion fight. It's obvious who will win in this match. I've seen a few videos of DK Yoo on youtube and had no idea he is a martial artist. As long as the fight's proceeds go somewhere else and it will benefit those who are in need it will be worth promoting. I am really not a fan of exhibition match since most boxer who does this do it for the money, take Mayweather and Logan Paul for instance. If you retire from boxing keep it as it is, stop for good and stop going back just to make some money. Not to mention most of it are scripted.

There could be hard fans like you who doesn't want exhibition matches, but what can you do? this boxers will need to earn money again, and in this case, easy money as this is the only way they know how to make ends meet.

So Mayweather and Paul Brothers started this whole even, but as you know, Floyd is very smart, taking fight after fight and in just matter of minutes earning millions without having to sweat it out, like Jake Paul recently against Anderson Silva.

I don't really see any reason why the fans would be against such fights. It's not a continuation of a career, it's just another activity. With their fame, they could go on a cooking show and make a lot of money too, but the best ex-pros can do is in the ring, so it's not surprising that they end up there again.
It is necessary to separate a professional career and everything else. Boxers, even if they ended their career at the age of 40, cannot go to a monastery for the sake of remembering themselves as just a pro and not doing anything else.

That's why they are fanatics, because that how they wanted their famous boxers to be, retired for good.

But times has change, although there are exhibition fights before, it was not that prominent as today, it was Floyd who really started this trend.

And I agree that even if this is scripted, but as we can see, fans are willing to pay huge amount just to see their favorite boxers in the ring. I'm not sure though you comparison about the monastery,  Grin. They are still human and need to do and still make some money for their family.
