1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The implications of cryptocurrency on the global economy on: August 15, 2022, 09:49:38 AM
The use of cryptocurrency is has increase over the years as many people now see crypto as an alternative to the fiat. My question is if the government legalize cryptocurrencies are means of payment, what will be the implications on the global economy?

The only implications in the global economy is that countries are going to accept crypto as alternative to fiat. But I don't think that it will happen in the future, crypto will be a alternative for some countries but there will be against it, so the world is still divided.

And how many countries have fully supported it? or in the gray area, or totally banning it?

Yes, government will have their own CBDC to counter crypto. Digital fiat at the hands of every citizen but then again, they can be track by their government.

Pablo Carreño Busta finally made the win. The bookmakers as well as the bettors were much into Hurkacz winning the match. Things happened in the opposite way, so it could've been a big win for all the bettors who believed Pablo Carreño Busta will win the match. The odds could've gone above 3 when Pablo Carreño Busta lost the first set. The much expected Hurkacz Canadian Open trophy win have come to an end.

That's sports for you, I myself have Hurkacz as handicap and when I saw the first set, I though it will be an easy win for him. And so it was a complete opposite as if Carreno-Busta found his rhythm and neutralizes Hurkacz and even have some unbelievable shot. Anywho, it is what is it, at least for those who beat on Nick winning made some money until he lost to Hurkacz. And congrats for those who bet on the underdog Carreno-Busta as he has a good odds.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 15, 2022, 08:17:43 AM
Seems like everything has been a bit calm later on the trading front. I think teams may be settling in with what they plan to enter training camp with. The season is just right around the corner so it seems like the Nets aren’t going to be making any deals that don’t interest them. We may see a KD and Kyrie team with Ben Simmons to start the year. Talk about awkward…

Honestly who knows.  There could easily be a situation in which they are working out a deal right now, and on the flipside it can be cold as ice.  I don't think the situation is or will be awkward at all, just normal nba business during the offseason honestly.  Ayers always say it...in the end its just a business.  So if they end up on the court together I expect them 3 to dominate a ton of games together.

Perhaps he was referring on how awkward the 3 will be in the training camp and then on the basketball court. They have all issues within themselves and amongst them, so in a sense I agree that it will be awkward. Just like Ben when he did attempt the Sixers training, just going with the motions and then have a cell phone during the practice. Again, they won't dominate if the 3 of them are not in sync, specially Durant demanding his coach to be traded and then you are going to play under him?
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 15, 2022, 07:53:22 AM
^^ Yes, this is also my point, boxing politics, it just frustrate us boxing fans that this managers and promoters are not giving us the fight that we wanted to see, because after all boxing is business and these people wanted more money, like Bob Arum's style of having fights in-house so that all money will be his and his boxers. So this is going to huge if the fight are going to be made in the future, specially if both of them remain unbeaten and still both champions.
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AVALANCHE PRICE ANALYSIS: Can the bulls hold on as AVAX falls to $16.00? on: August 14, 2022, 10:12:38 PM
month after AVALANCHE recovers now and pricing up to 26-28 dollars , and indeed those who masters to buy when the price is 16 dollars is now enjoying their 30-405 increase and this is one good sign of market recovery , maybe before the beginning of 4th quarter we will be seeing more good movement not only for AVAX but also in the pioneering coin Bitcoin.

I thought that it will go as high as $30.00, but it seems this is the biggest psychological barrier that it needs to break right now. The last time I check it just below that price, and now to be just $28.17 as per coinmarketcap.

Although bitcoin and ethereum is somewhat down, bitcoin can't reach $25k and then ethereum $2k.

If this prime movers gets over their respective resistance, for sure majority of the altcoin will follow that price movement including Avax.
1906  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Going To Fall Below The Previous 20k ATH possible? on: August 14, 2022, 09:53:17 PM
In crypto, the impossible becomes feasible, and the past becomes the present! The 20k support has been strong, and no time in BTC's history has the price fallen below the previous ATH. I've been thinking about this recently, but I know it'll be bad if the 20k support is broken, as BTC could fall to 15k or even lower.
I have a thought that Bitcoin will decline below $20k, the target and some speculations that I have read Bitcoin will touch the price of $13k this year, however we are always monitoring Bitcoin developments whether the speculation is true or just an illusion.

That is the price that has been predicted because we have hit the $17,500, way below the previous all time high and no one really expect it to happen very fast, in about 6 months time, we come from $69k, new all time high to lower lows of $17,500 and that's why their prediction of $13k. However, that prediction has been invalidated already when we went above $20k, sustained it and moving towards $25k-$30k if we will have enough push till next month.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 14, 2022, 09:42:47 PM
So Lopez confirms once again the statement that the puncher always has a chance, and in the 7th round he showed it, not really caring about the defense in the previous rounds, he was just waiting for the moment for an accentuated blow, a convincing victory in the end.

It's because he can take the power of Campa, he did the Philly shell, made famous by Floyd, a stance that is good for defense. But there were times that Campa can slip a punch, but it has no effect on him. And so you can see at the end of a round, he do a Ali shuffle, so he has so much confidence in this fight that we can confirmed that he will score a knockout in later rounds because he has the power and control of the fight. And so others think that he has made a strong debut at 140 lbs, but we all know that this is just a cherry pick from the very beginning. And in paper Campa looks as very strong, has a winning streak. But this is all a setup fight.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 14, 2022, 12:57:26 PM
^^ Actually I'm looking at my previous bet on Hurkacz, whether single or double, he is against  Ruusuvuori, but he wasn't able to cover that handicap during that game.

Anyhow, it's really unpredictable, if I have to bet between him and Ruud, I might go with Casper, and he almost did it, winning the first set, but Hurkacz comes back again. Finals match, Hurkacz vs Pablo Carreño-Busta, might to Over with this match.

Not sharing tips this time around since I haven't seen a single match in the tournament. I have been checking the stats a bit and I am forcing Carreno-Busta in last few matches. Looks impresive on paper and he brought me the money so far so I will give him a chance in the final as well. Leaning towards Busta to take at least one set @1.6 as maybe the best value of all markets. Also took Busta to win @2.6 but that is just for beer money.

I would love the odds for Hurkacz at -2.5 @1.90. I haven't follow as well except for the Nick hype train but we all know that he has lost already.

And with that momentum win, I think Hurkacz could still be mentally prepared to take this tournament from Carreno Busta. So best of luck.

Cincinnati Open is already underway, or at least the qualifying rounds.
1909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: August 13, 2022, 09:53:14 PM
People are definitely acting like the market has turned a corner. I feel like the celebration might be a bit early but it’s never a good idea to fight the market trend. I think I’m the short term we might be overheating a bit, but in the mid to long term I think things are looking bright. Buyers should stay away from leverage buying here unless they can withstand a retest of the lows. With Blackrock entering though, there’s a chance they could smash buy all of the gox coins on their way to pumping the market to new highs.

I guess you can't blame them, I mean just months ago we've seen the price going to $17,500, (could be the lowest low, or the bottom for now). And we haven't seen bitcoin goes way below it's previous all time high. So that's a bit scary for bitcoin enthusiast. So when we see the price recovered and bounce back and now trying to break another resistance level of $25k, everyone is somewhat relive on how things has turned out in the last 3 weeks. Maybe the news of Blackrock entering the picture or the CPI announcement has made things turnaround for good, then we will have to see if this is just short term effect.
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: August 13, 2022, 09:33:57 PM
Even the casino have done 1000+ good thing and gained the trust, but they can't resolve 1 bad thing, they're not trustworthy anymore.
I would also say that they are not trustworthy anymore since they didn't even resolve 1 scam accusations that is not just a scam accusation but a legit one. That's how a casino will start losing some of their gamblers if they didn't resolve 1 problem though as I have said that they will lose some of their gamblers because of that but still there's people who will gamble there even though there's one bad situation that a casino is in and I am sure that person will also stop gambling in that casino.

A single scam accusation could ruin the entire good record of a casino site but to be honest, it will be hard to pursue that single complaint despite having proof and evidence because people will always defend and speak out for the reputable site. But it's still important to call out the attention of the accused site on this forum so they would be urged to solve and fix their issue.

It could take a huge hit on their reputation, but I guess they will still continue and remain in the competition. And it's really up to them if they suffer from it, I mean will there be exodus of players from their platform and move out to other casino's because of their reputation? Or the players will remain with them since they haven't experience that or maybe the accusations is not true? just some random guy with no proofs or with proofs but it is obvious that he is abusing the casinos or has violated their TOS? Or the casino was found guilty and yet still insist that they are innocent, gets a red flag, and yet people still gamble with them?
1911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 13, 2022, 09:20:44 PM
Draymond Green doesn't have a lot of option and surely he doesn't have the power to demand the table and make the team offer him a max contract because he is not that kind of huge asset, he'll be lucky if the Warriors will still keep him despite his situation. He should know that he isn't like LBJ or CP3 who will be chased by any team because of the numbers they could bring in the team, Green is different because he is not a play maker.

Draymond Green obviously shouldn't be hoping that the Warriors or any other team will offer him a maximum contract. By the way, his current contract will expire after next season, and he will still have a player option for an extension until the end of the 23/24 season. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes this player option as it is unlikely that anyone will offer him a higher salary than $27,5 mln.

Even that figure is a little bit high for Draymond Green now, I think that he'll only sell out to a $20-$25 Million annually for a 4-year extension and nothing more than that but that is if there's a team in the league right now who's willing to pay him that kind of amount. Nonetheless, Draymond still have a chance to prove his worthiness this coming season and I don't doubt that he'll push himself more to produce more so that he'll end up getting an extension at the end of the 22-23 season.

Yeah, about $20-$25 million is not that bad for a extension on Green's level. We know that he is not that young anymore is prone to injury as we have seen last season. Yes, he is very much valuable as Steph and Thompson, but he also have to understand that they need a lot of good supporting and role players. So if he max out, maybe they can't get a decent one to help them with their runs and become one of the best dynasties in the last decade or so.
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: August 13, 2022, 01:32:59 PM
So Bob Arum is being futuristic for Devin Haney and is expecting another easy win by the undisputed champion. Bob said that Haney will get a Lomachenko fight although the Ukrainian needs a tune-up fight first. Devin Haney will have a lot of options if he beats Kambosos again. Inside Top Rank, there's Vassily Lomachenko, Shakur Stevenson, Teofimo Lopez, maybe Josh Taylor too if he will stay at 140, and Jose Ramirez. Outside of Top Rank, there's Tank Davis and Ryan Garcia.

And as for Kambosos? He will have the same options too but he needs to win over Haney. Otherwise, I am not sure what his future will be. It's like his win over Teofimo was a fluke and he only became champion on Teofimo's worst night.

Well, Bob Arum might be correct about his prediction because Devin Haney has a really good probability that he could still defeat Kambosos for the 2nd time. I mean, will there be any difference? Because I think Kambosos might have reached out for a rematch quite early, he should fight other boxers in the meantime because he cannot really handle a back-to-back defeat.

But if ever Kambosos turns out defeated this time, I guess he will have to climb back the ladder before he can have that chance to fight some champions again.
Maybe the team of Kambosos see that there will be no other options for him right now, but to request a rematch, if he lost then take it and try to rebuild from ground up. It's the only chance that he will become a champion again, although it will be very slim as Haney has his numbers unless he change his tactics and get lucky to hit Haney just like what he did against Lopez in their fight. Back to back lost might really hurt him, but he can go climb back slowly, like fighting top 5-10 fighters in the division again.
One last time and if he lost then maybe go up in weight and challenge Lopez again, I think that would be an exciting match, sure it will gain attention from the fans and they'll be able to sell that fight well. However, it's not certain yet, Kambosos might win the rematch and maybe trilogy will happen.

There will be no hype on Kambosos vs Lopez in 140 lbs if George will lose again to Haney. Well Kambosos can go up in weight after the Haney defeat, but this division is tougher that anyone would have tough. Champion like Josh Taylor and then we have Zepeda and Ramirez waiting and then others. So I don't think that Kambosos will have what it takes to go in this division.

But this is Lopez fight night, and so we will give him credit for going up in weight and then pick an easy opponent to test how this division might be for him.
1913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 13, 2022, 12:44:36 PM

I had a bet on Kyrgios last night against De Minaur and he despatched him easily enough,
6-2, 6-3. He plays Hurkacz in the quarter final today which I think he should also win.

Looking at the remaining players I cant see anyone beating him with his current form
provided he can hold it and stay fit with high energy.
A big disappointment, I too expected him to be the winner against Hurkacz. Things have taken place in the opposite way. The first two sets were of good fight from both the players, but the third one was a big disappointment and went as a one sided set. Losing the match 64-77, 77-65, 1-6 which could've made big bets end up losing.
A lot of people lost their bets on that game, i would call it an upset considering how good was kyrgios playing recently, he was doing good on the first two sets we were witnessing a great match but it all changed on the third set when kyrgios lost his focus and he had six double faults which helped hurkacs win easily.

Yes, I guess the winning streak for us and Kyrgios has ended, but as you can see it's very close, the first two sets was really tight, going into a tie breaks. And it the 3rd set, it seems that Nick already lost, looks very tired already.

Nevertheless, with his recent wins, he will be seeded now come US Open. So that will be very interesting to see how Nick will be at that biggest stage. So it will be the familiar Hurkacz vs Ruud in the first semis.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Merge date confirmed, any price action predictions after merge? on: August 12, 2022, 10:29:33 PM
(I don't want to click random links though). Personally, the first hump that Ethereum should get over is the $2k price barrier.

If we can get over that after the merge in September in mainnet or even prior, then I would say that it is a big accomplishment already by the merge. And just like the news in the test net alone, it had a good impact in the price isn't it, we've reach as high as $1900 and probably be moving positive as well. So this is my prediction and hopefully we can reach $2k and sustain the run till next month.
1915  Economy / Speculation / Re: do u think the BTC bottom is in...? on: August 12, 2022, 10:12:26 PM
The Tesla sale wasnt even a significant event, he had to swap the BTC out to balance his books and stay cashflow positive in the eyes of Tesla shareholders; Musk looks better for selling BTC but its a decision thats nothing to do with crypto just his lacking in results elsewhere.   Musk bought coins didnt need them didnt do anything with them even spend them and puts it back on the market, big noise no news.
Price for now in all its back and forth has crossed back above the 200 week average.  Its nothing big day to day but its the action we wanted to see really, it'll take a long for the cement to dry on this.

It did make some noise, but after that, the market didn't move negatively, maybe we are expecting it or investors are done with the Elon Musk news, trying to manipulate the market price.

Yes, we have crossed the 200 weekly average and that it goes, we almost tap $25k in the last 48 hours, then went down a bit, but bounce back to $24k. The CPI announcement was really significant news as this might be a sign of bullishness in the coming weeks.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 12, 2022, 01:59:53 PM
I prefer to just see him keep fighting champs for a title, he could start with Tank.
I think he will have a problem against Tank, this champion is fast and aggressive at the same time, this should be a great fight but honestly, if that will happen, I'd probably back Tank to win on the battle.

And he is ready to accept that challenge though, that's why he keeps calling on Tank Davis and even was present in Davis fight against Romero and there are a lot of interviews of him after that fight telling the public that Davis and him will make a good fight.

But first he shouldn't play down Robson here, he is a good fighter, maybe that as elite as Stevenson, but he could have his moments in this fight just like what he did against Oscar Valdez. Unfortunately, Robson lost that one, but he can still redeem himself if he upset Shakur in his hometown but the odds is very small.

This will be very exciting to see soon because there's lots of boxers now who are looking forward to have a fight with Tank Davis, not sure though if who will be the first one to have the chance, is it Shakur or Garcia? Well, for now let's see if Shakur will retain his belt because Robson is not that easy to conquer as their records is not that far to compare but Shakur here is much younger so I can see that he can adjust more.

For sure it seems that Garcia will be the likely candidate, I mean those two wanted to fight each other for a long time now and it's about the right timing as both are coming from a victory.

As compare to Shakur wo is still one weight class below and have to win against a tough Robson And if ever he will win, there are more champions still in his division and he will have to clean it up first before looking for more challenges like going up in weight and chase Tank.

I agree, Shakur should just focus in his current division even if he will manage to defeat Robson here because there are still 2 belts remaining that are in possession of two different champions in the super featherweight. Going against Tank will be a tough challenge for him as we don't know yet if he can still have the same speed and power in the upper weight class.

The only reason why I think that Shakur wanted to test his skills against Tank is that the amount of money that he could earn here.

So maybe he could bypass the 2 remaining belts, as someone said, it's not that important, this boxers will go and maximize every chance they can get to earn millions because their health is always on the line when they fight. Just the question on whether Top Rank can go and talk to Davis team, Floyd or Leonard Ellerbe.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 12, 2022, 01:10:24 PM
^^ We gonna support him no matter what, if he losses again, then so be it. But if by chance he avenge his defeat then he could obviously get the belt back and win it for the Philippines again.

And if they see their mistakes in the first fight and let Ancajas box the way he wants then maybe we can see him winning but it will be a tough battle for sure. As you have said, Martinez now has the confidence an wanted to show that it's no fluke taking the belt from Ancajas.

That confidence will be gone if Ancajas will bounce back and beat him. Well, we can also expect a trilogy as it's not fair if Ancajas will say not for another fight after he beats Martinez, and for me, that will make their rivalry exciting to follow.

Well hopefully, Ancajas wins the rematch before we can talk about the trilogy, (but is it included in the contract, that is the big question).

So we will see if Ancajas, his defense of the belt has been halted by Martinez, can start a new successful defense of the belt. Or if he will have to go up in weight, if the cramps story is true, then there could be some problems when he is trying to lose that weight.
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 12, 2022, 12:34:52 PM
They are not a championship team IMO, they are just entertaining to watch because of their great offense but their defense is really bad that's why they struggle against a good defensive team. It's the first time that CJ has no Robin, so if Blazers will succeed, it's solely because of his leadership.

They cannot be a championship more now that they let CJ go with replacing a superstar player. Lillard alone cannot make this team a championship team, his best way to have a chance to win a ring is to pair with a superstar, someone that would still respect him as the lead star, and that would mean keeping his current team.

I guess when they let CJ go, it was an obvious rebuilding time for them with Dame as the centerpiece. But they have a good replacement in Jeremi Grant and then GPII and Joe Ingles and Josh Hart.

But I do agree that this line up will not be enough to contend in the West, we have teams like Golden State, Phoenix, Dallas and Memphis, very strong team. Maybe they need one more legitimate star to work with Dame and at least make the Blazers a contender.
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 12, 2022, 11:45:20 AM
Ok here is the press conference leading up to the fight:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZlb_dIyIWE

The usual, both fighters are very confident on themselves that they are going to win the fight.

Going to be interesting the undercard of Xander Zayas vs Elias Espadas for the Junior Middleweight.

Thanks, almost forgot that this fight will be this Sunday in my timezone. Again, I will be waiting for a free streaming link here, who knows someone would give a link that we could watch this fight for free. I'm expecting Lopez will win here as I'm sure he won't waste this opportunity to come back.

I think this is still going to be an entertaining fight, and the supporting fight, Xander seems to be exciting 19 year old prospect from Puerto Rico, could be the next big super star.

Campa though seems not to be intimidated by Lopez's stature, that's good, at least he will fight it out without any pressure whatsoever. Going to be big for Lopez if is he going to win by knock out again, and make a big comeback after that disaster from Kambosos last time.

I'm not so interested with the undercards though, I just want to watch the main event and I like to see if Lopez still has that killer instinct to KO his opponent. It should not be hard for him since Campa will surely go for a toe to toe fight since that's his style.

I'm not familiar with Xander as well, but very young at 19 years old and already in the undercard and being promoted by Top Rank, might be good to see how this kid is going to perform and who knows, maybe he will become someone in the future, so it's good to see how they started.

But I agree that we all wanted to see how Lopez is, after that big lost to Kambosos, if he still has it from him or if he still mentally to fight and that his previous lost is behind him already.
1920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin scenario crashing to $20.000 - $23.000 on: August 10, 2022, 11:48:27 PM
The bitcoin price scenario to the $20k-$23k price level has occurred where the bitcoin price is currently trading in the $24k-$23k price range. Therefore, if bitcoin is stuck in the $20K resistance area, the bearish trend will continue and it is possible that the bitcoin price will fall back to the $19k price level.

We are stuck in the resistance level of $23k-$24k. And yes we are still in the bear market, and even if we hit like $40k, I would say that the bearish sentiments is still there and can't be discounted. Maybe some sort of comfort short term.

We can't tell if we will go below $20k, at least for now, I do think that we have hit the lower lows at $17,500. But still though, a good buying opportunity as the price is not really that high. We can go and continue with our DCA until you have enough in your wallet in this bear market.
