I like this one too.
Can you modify this one a bit, having little bitcoin coins coming out of the crack in the block ?

Here you go
#4:

Note on design... at least it applies to landscaping or interior design.

1 3 5 7 etc when you are grouping things.

Note the 4 denotes death in Chinese so often avoided.

Although Bobby Orr was NUMBER 4 and the greatest player eva!

I don't have one of the failed ones here, but I'm not so sure they're failing in a safe way. A power supply that fails in such a way that gets a strong shock through their arm by touching it is extremely dangerous.  BFL needs to stop shipping those supplies, the reports of Jalapenos tripping home circuit breakers is disturbingly numerous.

What Logo do you like so far in the contest?

There are some pretty good designs already.

You might brush up on your English a bit as well...

Sure, my english is bad, but I make the effort to try to speak english in the english board

I understood every word fear not and carry on. Power to people who can speak multiple languages sans Google traduire!

Given the logos being offered we are suggesting that... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364115

The sting is cracking a block.
The sting is delivering on time.
The sting is delivering disruptive innovation.
The sting is a collective working together to change the community with Wasp & Hive Modular Miner.

As opposed to talking or buzzing around and doing little or nothing.
2767  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [The Wasp] Logo Design Contest !!!! on: December 11, 2013, 06:47:10 AM
Going to need to post these up in one place categorized by the designer. So many great ideas there and the effort put in thanks for taking it so seriously guys.

Feedback to WM: I personally like that Wasp clutching the Block and stinging or protecting it that is pretty effective on many levels.
2768  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New BFL Product 250GH Miner for $11k available on 12/31 on: December 11, 2013, 05:42:16 AM
Bitmain, 200 GH/s, $4000, 400 watts, already in stock and available for immediately delivery.
BFL, 250 GH/s, $12000, 1200+ watts, might be delivered next month.

I think the choice is quite clear.

+1.

You are my super-shopper.
2769  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: megabigpower.com - expansion cards now available on: December 11, 2013, 03:16:42 AM
The 10 v1.2 H-cards I bought Monday night shipped today from WA.

as in yesterday? i bought one on the 8th and have heard nothing other than an e-mail confirming purchase.

Paid with bitcoin Mon 6:45pm PT, got "Ready To Ship" email from MBP Tue 7:36am PT, got tracking email from FedEx Tue 9:00am PT.

My experiences dealing with MBP have been very positive. If you're concerned about your order, just email them at sales@megabigpower.com and you'll probably get a fast reply.

+1

That is the way things MUST be done. Glad to see people getting reliable shipping.
2770  Other / Archival / Re: PAPA ASIC NEED FUNDING PLEASE PARTICIPATE on: December 10, 2013, 03:14:31 PM
Email is available next to my name click the link. I am not an EE so I would have to share all the info with our EE's and if they have time then can give me an idea about time frames etc.

Not that we have plans to do the design I was merely telling the person questioning your ability to have a working miner. If we have the time and there are samples as well as chip specs then our EE's could make Papa Wasps. Redesign of our finished prototype in the BitFury Wasp in December or January means we might not have time for this if the A1 and Minion are still on schedule.
2771  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: December 10, 2013, 02:54:44 PM
Only reason I keep using the BFL PSUs is because I want to see how many will die in before year end.  I have 3 ATX PSUs sitting idle but I just wanna watch this Hindenburg.

Just... Wow. Be safe. I'm sure you are an isolated case.

 ...

I've seen enough reports of BFL units catching fire to make me very nervous.  I'm wondering if someone could recommend a specific replacement power supply.  I might sleep better at night if I just proactively replaced it before it burns my house down.

2772  Other / Archival / Re: PAPA ASIC NEED FUNDING PLEASE PARTICIPATE on: December 10, 2013, 01:11:27 PM
where are we now in terms of the collection funding for this project ? is it 50%, 60% etc?

Are serous about investing with this person?

He has an Indiegogo project asking for a millon dollars with not a single person giving him $1500.  He doesn't even take the time to spell aproximatively the correct way ( approximately ).  If he was serious about open disclosure he would make the documents public to everyone without having to go through his "approval" process.

He has an unrealstic goal of February 2014.  He doesn't even have a PCB design and will deliver in February 2014.  If you feel like throwing away your money invest with this person.

If we have the chip specs... our group could put out prototype Papa Wasps in as little as a few weeks. Given there were chips of course.

"At this point, it looks like the only hold would pose a problem is if the chip didn't work properly for some reason, but we have no reason to believe that is going to be a problem, as the chip is based on our proven 65nm design." - Josh.

Ya cause you won't have a problem with the boards right? Or the heat sinks? Sheesh.

@Dark DUDE... it is great for the ARTIST to get the feel for the insect. Zombie lover!

There are some really creative people in Bitcointalk. Got quite a few great designs to pick from already. Do you think we should wait till the end of December or just until we get 9 people who enter?

2775  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Monarch on: December 10, 2013, 12:32:09 PM
TY for your help.

No problem.

I would read more though on BA and do your legwork. I am willing to take a risk and get their chips into our Wasps... but not sure that means everyone should risk it but still a damn sight better than BFL.

Samples?

Board design contest?

Keen to roll out a prototype 24 x GC3355 Wasp.
2777  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Monarch on: December 10, 2013, 11:57:28 AM
TLDR;

Yes they have a design.

Their chips look pretty solid.

They made FPGA's and have recently run boards for Drillbit and Bobsag3.

Have talked to their EE they seem confident.

Our EE's have reviewed their chip specs and at this point looks pretty promising.

But late February or March.
2778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Monarch on: December 10, 2013, 11:45:33 AM
Bicknellski, if you wouldn't mind, could you name some alternatives? KNC have stopped making the products I would buy, the Neptune is too expensive for me. Xtrememiners looks to be a scam.

Black Arrow
BitMine
Cointerra
HashFast
BitFury EU and USA

---

Then there are number of other DIY types

Marto
Aauer1
Burnin
Bobsag3
Drillbit

---

There are number of Chinese fabs as well. Antminer etc... and the latest LTC/BTC chip from "AVALON" could be a very interesting option.

---

Best investment BTC or some Altcoins. You will kick yourself if you don't put something something in coins. Diversity.

Is there any reason why they wouldn't ground the jally?  That just seems careless to me, but I'm a software guy.
A: in country with 3pins 220/240v the middle pin is gound, so the 2pin's doesnt have it.
so, you either use all 3pins or just all 2pins.

Not taped out. 2 to 3 weeks for that.

15 weeks minimum from tape out was based on their website till they removed the information.

Order today best case scenario?

18 to 20 weeks. Up to 5 months.
While they haven't shared details of the foundry process, they apparently get the chips back in 4 weeks.  So the 15 week thing is old news now.

No the 15 WEEKS is what the process was from CHIPS being Taped Out. Nothing OLD... they are covering their tracks on that. Read BFL forums it is 1 week here 2 weeks there 1 week here then to Chicago and were not sure on numbers but wafers will be flying out.

Seriously... at what point does the same carbon copy posts about the same process become apparent to people.

Like I said. You can wait and expect RMA issues. Your call. You know the warning signs are there. There are other units available from other companies. It is your call to make.
