Hey MinerPumpkin...

Is it possible to get a larger number of engineering / sample AM BE200's?

1965  Other / Meta / Re: Can we Trust the Trust System ? on: April 12, 2014, 04:39:28 AM
Why would you trust any system when making a decision on spending your money or risking your property?

I think you can gain some insight into how people do business through such a system but it should not be your only factor when deciding to deal with people.

NEVER TRUST ANYONE HERE NO MATTER THEIR REPUTATION!

That is the only rule you need to go by. It especially goes for bitcoin exchanges and asic hardware manufactures etc etc etc and specifically BFL.
1966  Other / Meta / Re: Forums 2FA ? on: April 12, 2014, 04:33:33 AM
Bumping this again as I think this should be implemented before a year from now.

If someone wants to write a patch for it, I will seriously consider adding it. I believe that safely adding 2FA would be very time-consuming, so I'm not willing to do it myself or direct Slickage to do it.

Don't you have money to get that done? Money was collected to improve the forums no?
1967  Other / Meta / Re: Why do all the sr. and hero members with negative trust hate on the trust system on: April 12, 2014, 04:32:50 AM
http://www.woodlaw.com/cases/butterfly-labs-and-bf-labs-inc-bitcoin-miners <-- got anything to add to the case against BFL? If we can't resolve the trust rating issue with Mods doing more we can punish a company that is both abusing this forums policy on spam and nailing to the wall in court for fraud.

What would they be classified under? Idk if you can really bring that to legal status...

Read the case filed here: http://www.woodlaw.com/sites/default/files/casedocs/2014-04-04%20Complaint.pdf

Pretty much outlines what 100s have already posted in these forums and is now going to be argued in court.

The point to their abuse of the trust system is to mainly drive more traffic to their site to get sales. This sort of spam is in direct contradiction of the rules of these forums but I guess the only real way to combat that is put out as much information as possible on who BFL has being carrying out business and let the community decide. It would be helpful if more of the community here did use the trust system appropriately and people like Josh_BFL would have had a -3000 Trust rating over a year ago when the scams he was pulling became apparent.

Wonder if they have to be "pre-ordered" to court  Grin

The end game for BFL is near. They won't survive as a consumer electronics company and I dare say their hosting is going to be the target of some lawsuits as well.
1968  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Butterfly Labs giving their customers a FREEEEEE "Monarch" on: April 12, 2014, 04:11:47 AM
If you want to get added to the class action go here I am sure the lawyers would be glad to read about the 2x and 3x they are promising fits right in with claims they made in the case filing. It is interesting that BFL is continuing to offer "pre-orders" and "promises" for future compensation instead of just refunding people.

No AM BE200? Don't forget about that one, it's the chip  Smiley
But I'm sure you keep that in mind!

AM BE200
A1
BitFury II
Minion

All in the mix, sorry had to add it back in I accidently omitted it. Our EE gave us a little insight into his plans for it.

We are just working feverishly on the undisclosed chip right now. Sorry if I left out the AsicMiner offering. We are pretty excited about the AM BE200 and Minion because of the way the heat gets out the bottom. We are looking already at a 16 chip Minion layout in the Hornet and a small single or dual chip Stinger for the AM BE200 as a USB offering as we have limited chips obviously so we want to check out other variants or our design range.

The way these corporate farms keep growing and expanding I am not so sure how much of an impact individuals working alone can have on keeping the network diversified. If people can POOL their resources and build these en masse maybe there is still hope that the network could have enough diversity to keep it secure. Having said that what the Minion from Black Arrow is offering is certainly intended to push out GPL miners. That is something we really are keen on. They might be late to the party with their Minion and miners but they have right focus I think on supporting any collectively orientated miners moving forward. The era of mining at home is done even with respect to altcoins. We hope we can help the diversity of the network and have some fun building these designs.

Also please stay tuned to what we will be able to offer once we get our first batch of nTek miners delivered. Because we took the time to really work out an amazing cooling system we are much more likely to be able to reach the peak potential of the A1 chips.

Can't wait to see these things hash over the A1 standard are there in the wild yet nTek or some vids on it going over the base rate?

Trust but verify. Always verify. Wonder what the heck John K. is doing given the exemplar services he provided in the past.
