2121  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: March 31, 2014, 03:31:35 AM
Posted this here to refute the false and paid trust rating by Pokokohua posted against me. There are 100s of posts here by others stipulating any number of BFL product failures. If anyone has other evidence of non-performance and product failures please keep posting here and make sure to counter negative trust ratings with the truth right here all it takes is telling the truth. Unlike BFL, or their paid shill Pokokohua.

Pathological liar. Cheats forum members repeatedly with false information over BFL,
their employees and their products -all successful- while his business fails, has absolutely
no technical knowledge, qualifies non working usb hubs as bfl product failures.
Falsely rates people who are producing hardware and are an asset to the bitcoin
community negative, and ridicules any forum member that confronts him on his lies.
Too bad a lot of these types hang around on this forum, no orders but crying scam
over legit companies, while they are never seen in the real scam topics.

Trust summary for Pokokohua! Newbie with 8 posts... amazing how this "member" of the community is so fluent in BFL BS already. Must be a multi account.

There's not enough time in the world to verify every single feedback for all users. If we do it for you, then we have to do it for everyone, then we might as well be back to handing out scammer tags and figuring out who's "guilty" or not.
You could do it for hero members, and put a limit on the amount of appeals. Simple things like this one would take 20 seconds of reading the trust left and you'd know it was fake.

But what happens when there is a conflict of interests? As it sits now, moderators can't delete their own feedback, friends of moderators can't have their feedback removed, etc. Theymos is the only one who can remove feedback, and even he understands the implications of what could happen if trust was selectively enforced. In an ideal world, people could leave whatever lies they wanted, but with no support or no proof, it would just reflect poorly upon them. There is no plausible way that I can think of, where we can have a moderated trust sytem, because then it is no longer a trust system, then its having trust in whoever is in charge of reviewing appeals. I believe a WOT like OTC is going to be added with the new forum software, which I suppose is the best option at the time being.

That is what the courts are for particularly when there is slander in dem dar hills.
2124  Other / Meta / Re: BFL bringing down the trust rating? on: March 31, 2014, 03:04:30 AM
Meanwhile back on the real topic.

28nm Asics from BFL are 13 months into production still not working.

They have not shipped their Monarchs and they are being sued on a number of fronts.

Nice deflection off of their failures into the trust system. Misdirection at best. Poorly executed people are getting the word out BFL is losing market share because others are delivering units that are OFF THE SHELF. BFL the vapourware kings are dead.
2125  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Announces 600GH/s 28nm PCIe Mining Card on: March 30, 2014, 01:55:02 PM
Nope, 13 months based on BFL statements they started the 28nm 6 months before the announcement on August 17th 2013. So counting back that is  July 17 , June 17, May 17, Apr 17, Mar 17 and finally Feb 17 2013.

Interestingly, they claim to have been working on chip development for 6 months now, meaning there was significant overlap between the period they began 28nm design and were working fixing delays in their 65nm product.

Customers now face the difficult challenge of deciding whether to roll over their current orders or to keep their spot in line. A Monarch delivered in December will be break-even at around a 75% monthly network increase through July. If shipments are pushed back to January, anything over a sustained monthly increase of 59% stops being profitable. Considering that the 500 GH/s rigs have not shipped yet, they seem the most likely candidates for conversion, though realistic expectations for shipping dates will be crucial to any decision.

Why you should never buy from them?

2126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BFL] List of Lies on: March 30, 2014, 01:37:24 PM
Just thought it might be fun to make a thread to create an organized list of all the blatant lies from BFL. I am talking about things that can be factually proven to be inaccurate/misleading/bullshit. I would like this to be a civilized discussion so please attempt to keep the trolling to a minimum.

Note: This list is small and only includes a tiny fraction of the lies because I have only spent a few minutes on their site and have not included the lies from before.

List of Lies
1. (monarch) The fastest and most power-efficient Bitcoin miner yet
2. Butterfly Labs has shipped more ASIC products than all competitors combined
3. Our facility in Kansas has the largest production capacity of all Bitcoin hardware manufacturers.
4. The Competition at least $ 17.50 /GH
5. 65nm ASIC chip is now powering the majority of the bitcoin network
6. The bottom line is that BFL is the only 28nm chip manufacturer on its 2nd generation ASIC
7. All manufacturers in this space have experienced some degree of delay with their first generation ASIC
8. 28nm products won't begin shipping til year end
9. (monarch) plan to begin shipments in February, 2014
10. Orders are shipped in order date priority so any order placed now should be expected to be delivered in March.
11. We are pioneers of the industry - having manufactured the first commercial Bitcoin mining hardware.
12. November / December    Initial Shipping
13. still on track for December/January
14. As we enter the 28nm era, we're the only competitor with a proven ASIC design in the field.
15. Tape out August 2013
16. Gen1 65nm asics will be around 1w/gh
17. BTC mining, being a zero sum activity, makes it viable and profitable to get as many people to cancel their orders as possible, so your position improves
18. We are so confident in our power consumption that we are offering up 1000 BTC to charity if we miss our power consumption targets by more than 10%
19.  Everyone should be aware of the fact that you are allowed to upgrade 1, 2, 3 or 4 Jalepeno's to 1 Single and keep your place in line
20. Individual orders that are less than 6 months old and that paid for the reduced price 600GH or 300GH Monarch will likely not be delayed past the expected delivery date

Forecast:
- (monarch 600GH) 350w (0.6w/GH conservative estimate)
- Orders are shipped in order date priority so any order placed now should be expected to be delivered in June.
- Refunds will be issued in 30 to 45 days from the date of request of refund. Refunds will be in USD.

Bonus:
- Josh/Inaba of BFL has now resorted to paying shills to boost his own trust rating and defaming critics by leave false negative trust.

Sources:
1. See KNC, Avalon, Bitfury, Bitmain, Bitmine, Cointerra, Hashlast, Spondoolies, Dragon/lightning
2. Obviously not talking about hashrate because that would be absurd. I assume # of products which is still untrue considering the amount of asicminer/bitfury usb miners sold.
3. If largest production capacity means shipping out hardware in a timely manner, I would say they fall in dead last. (maybe hashfast is slower in shipping products)
4. Competition is actually as low as $3/GH. See bitmain
5. Obvious lie. Unless less than 5% of the network is now considered a majority.
6. See KNC.
7. See asicminer/bitmain
8. Already 3 months past years end and this statement is still not removed. *unless they mean this years end which would probably be accurate
9. Misleading. They have planned to ship every month since October of 2013.
10. Devices confirmed to not be shipping march.
11. See asicminer
12. Still have yet to ship anything.
13. See 12.
14. Was said literally months after KNC gave us a proven 28nm design.
15. Tape out September 2013
16. Actually around 3.5w/gh
17. Absolutely ridiculous to believe anyone would think this.
18. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197050.0
19. Jalapenos intentionally sent out first.
20. March was expected delivery date for all orders before march.

Sad day in Bitcointalk world... but do you expect anything less from a company and an employee without a moral compass? He has been doing this for over a year now it is just the first time he and his company have openly admitted it.
2127  Other / Meta / Re: I'm sorry, but Inaba has just gone too far... on: March 30, 2014, 09:34:22 AM
They paid for their ads and that's what counts also why they have these disclaimers

Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction. Advertise here.

Do those disclaimers include false advertising or slander? Cause from where I sit it is time for the community to fight back on this and get the real story out into the media on BFL. This should not stand. There is a huge difference between failing to deliver product on time and outright gaming of the trust ratings and slander of people. At some point we as a community need to stand up and face these bullies and push back.
2128  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BFL] List of Lies on: March 30, 2014, 09:20:40 AM

The fact Inaba has slandered me and others in the trust ratings and in the forums here before is going eventually land him in court. What needs to happen now is a perfectly timed court decision that freezes his BTC wallets ala the HF accounts. The idea he thinks he can play his psyops games without any consequences to him or BFL is just the level of hubris that will eventually bring this to a resolution against him in court. Lies and slander and now attempting to game the trust system overtly. Ethically challenged definitely the forum needs to protect itself from the likes of BFL and Inaba and I am very surprised they have not blocked or banned his account yet.

This is something that is NOT being reported on enough in some of online bitcoin news providers. http://www.coindesk.com/ really needs to pick up the ball and do a more in depth look at how BFL systematically lies and slanders bitcoin community members. They continually skirt the issue as much as bitcointalk.org has. We need to get the word out through the media on how Inaba and BFL are attempting to trash people's reputation and how their ads are deceptive to new buyers as well as a focus on the damage they have wrought by being late time and time again. Millions have been lost by members of the community due to BFL why is this not being reported openly beyond the threads here and in reddit?
2129  Other / Meta / Re: I'm sorry, but Inaba has just gone too far... on: March 30, 2014, 08:58:28 AM
When Inaba LIES in the trust ratings and then tries to buy positive and negative trust ratings you know what you really have to wonder why this forum even allows BFL and Inaba access. Simply the tip of the iceberg here. All you have to do is take a look at the negative trust posts Inaba has made to really see what is going on here. Basically slander in some cases and probably actionable. What I want to see is someone shut down his BTC wallets ala HashFast. That is what needs to be done. Cut his access to the coins he has stolen. Millions of dollars are owed people and this guys keeps walking around these forums like he has some mandate from the community to resolve the trust rating issues?

The many failed attempts to misdirect and create confusion and the lies posted  at every turn should give this forum pause and the moderators and owners of the forum do need to do more to exclude them from this forum. It is clear that BFL and Inaba are not here to build up the community or support bitcoin in a positive manner. Your call bitcointalk it is time to do more than take their coins and ignore their blatant disregard for the rules you have set in place here.
2130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide on: March 30, 2014, 08:44:11 AM
And now BFL is buying positive and negative trust ratings in the bitcointalk. Ethically challenged? That should be added to the list of crimes / lies / deceptive practices they employ. Z- is too good for them.

LOL....

Hahaahaha. I relish the fact they are putting bounties on my head. Amazing eh? You can't have people just post REAL trust ratings you have to pay for them. Ethically challenged? What a joke.

When will they get their rewards? March 2014?

If anyone takes BFL up on that offer they are selling their reputation for hardware. At least they are admitting they need to PAY FOR positive ratings and discredit me and dogie for the same coin and goes directly to the fact that Inaba has been abusing the trust system since it's implementation and a good reason to BAN him and BFL from the forums entirely.

Code:
Bicknellski 14: -0 / +16(16)	2014-03-30	0.00000000	Reference	Buying Trust ratings. What is wrong with that? (Delete)

Feel free to counter Inaba's attempt to trash the trust ratings by posting your own negative or positive feedback. He has already lied countless times in Trust ratings and people can verify that independently by just checking what he posts for negative feedback on the trust of various people. I suggest this is just another ploy to discredit the trust system and bring it down so that his negative ratings and BFL's negatives will disappear. Don't let him run from his past keep posting the TRUTH as you know it bitcointalk members. It looks like BFL is feeling the pain and is really working on their psyops full on now. Laughable.

Any of this look familiar in BFL's and Inaba's playbook? Anyone know exactly what sort of work he did in the past for the Army? Hmmm... funny his tactics seem to be right out of the psyops right? https://firstlook.org/theintercept/document/2014/02/24/art-deception-training-new-generation-online-covert-operations/
2132  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Wasp Project Collective Information thread. on: March 30, 2014, 04:39:15 AM
Do you have a date of when you think the wasp will be available?

I will like to join the group! Wasp seems to be a nice group!

Let me know.  Grin

No date yet. As we are currently going through testing of the A1 Wasp. Electrically we are good so far. Firmware emulation code is ready. Once part of the EE team is back in Seattle burning the midnight oil on A1 testing we will have a better idea but we will release that information on our website once we are confident we have working boards that can be built. The hive is ready and is en route to the EE in Seattle. Once the A1 Wasp testing is completed boards will be shipped to the EE in the UK and the EE in California as well as some other sample boards to other members for testing. Once the 2 chip A1 Wasp is proven to work then a 6 chip version will be spun, tested and put into the Hive. The BitFury II Wasp is being worked on in conjunction with the A1 Wasp it is either in fabrication now or will be next week we are also now discussing a new project for the WPC as well that should be completed this summer.

Again our membership options will be discussed at our next meeting on Monday/Tuesday and we will be inviting members of the community that can help us specifically in marketing, hardware, software and firmware engineering as we want to expand our capabilities and spread the workload to more people. We will make an announcement about membership next week.

No nothing negative whatsoever.

All positive moving forward opportunity type discussions.

Only thing that sucks is I have to be up at 3am to be at the meeting Tuesday morning.

Remember when this poll only went to April?
Remember when the community first got wind of the Monarch in August of 2013?
Remember when BFL claimed to be working on the 28nm for over 6 months before the August 2013 announcement?

That means the Monarch 28nm chip has been in development since at least February 2013. 13 months later? Still nothing.
When does this dog and pony show ever end?

Sorry for the delay, this will get updated early next week.

In other news, Inaba has left me negative feedback by for "conning newbies into buying from scam companies", aka by recommending NOT to buy from BFL.

Telling the truth is a funny thing. Welcome to the club and I think it is badge of honor to have him lie about you in the trust ratings. He is the worst of the worst in this community for abusing the trust feature. Zed minus for BFL is still too high given the millions they have stolen from this community.
