How many units were delivered until now? Do we have a forum guesstimate?
Liam told me today that batch 1 started shipping this week and the last orders from batch 1 will be sent out on Monday. Nothing shipped Tuesday. So from what they are saying batch 1 will be built and shipped over approx. 6 days with the 4th and 5th days being Sat/Sun; so half of batch 1 will have been sent by close of business tonight. Batch 0/1 was 2400 units total, 400 Jupiter conversions and say 25% of the rest refunds (mostly from batch 1) leaves 1500 Neptunes to ship between the two batches. Say 600 batch one units and 900 batch 0 units based on estimated refund distribution. So based on that it is likely 1200 will have shipped by tonight and the 300 remaining units will ship out on Monday. That being said I have still not seen a confirmation of delivery since back in Q2; so we have no way of confirming what has and has not been sent out. u27 so much for the 3-4 weeks in between batches lol Searing

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Batch 2 right after batch 1 I would imagine. Did batch 2 get offered the second miner or was that just CA batch 0 and batch 1?

Well if someone from KNC told you, then it has to be the truth We expect to ship to Batch 1 pre-order customers this week and to Batch 2 pre-order customers before the end of the month February 2014 Newsletter:"As we are getting closer to the launch date of Neptune"
February 2014 Newsletter:To make sure that everyone who has paid for their Neptune gets their hashing power we are building a data centre like no other. It is located in the north of Sweden not far from Facebook and other Mega Data Centres and it’s totally powered by renewable energy. Over the next few months we are bringing online enough hashing power to make sure that any delay in the Neptune timeline will be compensated with a **completely free** hosted hashing packages to all fully paid customers. http://www.va.se/special/knc-miner-631834The bitcoin fever, just as other gold rushes, has occasionally been chaotic. Even KNC Miner has a turbulent history. “We lied the whole time.” That is how Andreas Kennemar describes the strategy they used to reach the position they have today within the bitcoin world today, as a respected and profitable company (sic). KNC's entire business is built on a pathological level of lies/fraud/deception/misrepresentation.

Later in the article he "explains' the "lie": This is where the lie comes into the picture. The video they uploaded to Youtube actually shows a significantly faster product than what they promised customers.
We said from the beginning that our product would do 350 GHz. Then, we went out and said that we had made some adjustments and gotten our chips to be faster. We did things like this a few times, says Andreas Kennemar.
We always knew that the chips would be faster. We lied to make customers happy and to confuse competitors. They didn t know where we d set the bar.

Well to be fair, that is a lie too. Their jupiter launch video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFOcI8nK2xI) clearly stated where their bar was: "It's a 500 machine"
500GH/s Then a week or so later they insisted if you got 400GH, that was all you were entitled to, even after their launch video promising 500GH/s+. So they were liars in the sense of NOT delivering what they promised, i.e. liars I'll remind you for the 7 millionth time of this gem of knc's not-too-distant-past. Hi, We understand your concern regarding your miner not performing as well as others, however as your hash rate is higher than 400GH/s we cannot issue a RMA. We are continuously working on the firmware to improve performance and stability. If you have any further questions or issues please do not hesitate in contacting us. Best regards | Med vänlig hälsning Keith Gurnett Kncminer www.kncminer.comOffice: +46 8559 253 20 So they just lied to people, nothing more or less. Like the lie of claiming they would deliever all units by Oct 15th, even though they knew from the beginning of October they could never achieve that. And a million others if I could be bothered to dig them out. And I noted 3 other lies knc told to decieve customers above, please address those too if you wish to defend KNC's policy of deceipt.

Good news guys. I have reduced my VRM temps by 20 degrees C with my new delta fan: Heres a comparison with the other cubes that still have the stock fans: Only problem is that it sounds like a Boeing 747 but i would rather be deaf than having burnt VRMs. How much CRM for the delta fan? It is used to blow the cold air in right? I thought there is a fan inside the box?

It didnt take Elenelen long to ramp right up to 500mhz with simple vrm heatsinks. Imagine what we could do if that cooling tower, thermal blanket, and that stupid bar were all gone, and replaced with an H2O cooler. the vrms, and any heatsink you put on them would then have excellent exposure to airflow.
If someone can mount an Corsair H80 on the chip and mount a push/pull fan configuration right on the side of the box you can literally bring the size of that box down to a small shoe box size. I've been using that Corsair H80 on my overclocked Intel 3930K processor for a while now and works great. It is a completely sealed system and keeps the processor cool at all times. If there is a will, there would be a way. The ASIC chips are larger in size, so making it work would take a good DIY'er. Do you know how much heat the H80 can remove? I think those ASICs are about three times the power draw of your 3930k... it probably wont be enough. You may be right, the ASIC chip even in its normal operating mode I think runs hotter then an overclocked processor. I still think that kind of setup would be really nice, clean and compact though. Like I said, if there is a will, there is a way. I'm assuming those H80's are filled with some kind of gel or oil. Maybe if that material is replaced with something that can keep it cooler it would work. Something is pumping that liquid through the radiator, just has to keep up and be powerful enough.

I'll vouch for the quality, as I have an H80 in my main workstation at home and it runs literally silent. I used the fans that came with it, as they seemed to be good quality fans. You can use one exhaust fan on the radiator or use two. One side pulling air out and the other pushing it out. I think that configuration would be very efficient. Most everyone concentrates on keeping the chip itself cool, but as long as you keep whatever is keeping the chip cool itself that will work. Example, an automobile. Keep the radiator fluid cool and the rest will fall into place. Damn, I wish I had some tinkering to do....have this new dremel here which needs a good workout.
