Yep, recent luck is pretty strange. Pool probably celebrated too much and now have a hangover...

Yep, recent luck is pretty strange. Pool probably celebrated too much and now have a hangover... The entire network is affected, we are passing through an interstellar Cloud of Unluck. Yesterday and today we had a spans of about 40~60 minutes without any block.

That may be the case, but I prefer to have no cpu usage so I'm sticking with 11.12. - at least on windows based miners.

i should have been more precise... i went from 330 Mhash/s to 250 Mhash/s with the 11.12 on this machine alone, other machines had the same percentage drop in hashrate. I went back to 11.11 drivers that fixed the cpu usage issue from previous driver versions.

AFAIK,11.11 did not fix the cpu usage bug...that was fixed in 11.12 (SDK 2.6) ala the performance drop. Slush is awesome...

I was under the impression that 11.11 fixed the cpu issues for those running one single GPU card. Maybe I misread though. While the CPU issue is annoying, you lose more income with 0-4% cpu usage and -80MHs verses 100% of one core on a semi efficient CPU imho.

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

Really glad to see Slush's pool still going strong after a year when many have come and gone. Being the first pool I ever and first I mined at, it's makes me feel good celebrating it's first's B-day. It also goes to show what great job Slush have been doing throughout the year. I wish the best and many more B-day's to celebrate in the future. Happy belated B-day!

Is this pool still using a port for its longpoll instead of a /lp or similar type URL? I need to know if I have to special code support for this unique approach to longpoll that no other pool uses.

ckolivas: Yes, it's still using another port, because long polling daemon is separate application. There's nothing 'dirty' on such approach; if your miner have correct support for long polling standard and follows redirects of URL correctly, it will work.

hi first! i like your pool, started mining here in summer, but with my gpu and my electric costs it wasn't so nice, but i am back with a x6500 i have 2 questions 1) any chance to get the graphs from summer back? why are they deleted? or is there a max time? 2) any chance to get an email if my hashrate drops under a limit? maybe per worker? would love that

Thanks. I didn't say "dirty" I just said unique, and there really is no "standard" for anything really, just precedence, and deepbit was first. Their precedence was just a url, not a different port. Anyway I'll think about it since this is really just providing better support for slush and has no influence on any other pool.

"Just a URL" - it's exactly the reason why I said I'm following deepbit's specification, as I'm using standard URL in LP response. And yes, port is the part of URL, too. Sorry to hear that it's problem in C++, but it's currently almost impossible to change implementation to run on the same port. I hope you'll resolve the issue on your side and it will run without any problem.
