This is really weird but both those emails just ticked in. They must have gotten stuck somehow though I can't think of how or why.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I didn't touch anything and all emails were sent by the server, so it was somewhere on the way. Strange...

Why are there so many invalid Namcoin Blocks in a row?

Pool is using namecoin's blockexplorer to cross-check if blocks are matured and accepted by the rest of the network. Unfortunately blockexplorer gets broken, there are not new blocks since yesterday. I reported it right now, after they fix it, pool will recalculate all namecoin blocks again and everything will be fine.

Slush just a quick question on the pool luck calculation. Does this calculation take in to account the difficulty of the past blocks or does it only work using the current difficulty

It uses difficulty from the time when block was found. So it should be +/- correct.

NMC block explorer is now working correctly, I'll find a time to recalculate nmc rewards during tomorrow.

Should BTC for bock 157519 be recalculated?

What's your expected block reward? I don't see anything wrong with those blocks.

Should BTC for bock 157519 be recalculated?

I can't see what it was at the time of block 157519, but typically (like right now) it is about 0.18284650 BTC.  When I compare the two blocks listed in my post, I see that duration and shares between the two are proportionately closer than BTC reward. I thought I should see something more like 0.18 not 0.019.

I checked those two rounds, but don't see anything wrong. It looks like your miners disconnected for some time, so your block reward was lower than usual.

I see I have a few (very few) shares on my backup pool so some of the shares probably shifted over there but what seems strange is that I was getting about the same shares per minute and yet the reward was so different:

Duration   Total shares   Shares/Minute   BTC reward    Block #
0:55:03    824609         14984               0.18219482    157529
0:46:21    711990         15367               0.01990589    157519

I haven't seen this kind of difference before so I'll just keep an eye on it to see how things run in the future. Thanks for looking into it.

Wait, what's "shares per minute"? It's calculated for total shares of the pool, right? So if your miner had a short outage, this value don't change...

My bad, thanks for the correction. I'm getting my stats messed up, different pools, etc. Is there a historical perspective on how many shares I got per block?
