Hello I'm just trying out this miner.

Can you add multiple servers in the same way you can in EWBF using the --config option?

I'd like it so if a pool goes down it automatically connects to a backup server

I'm working on failover server support.

Thanks dude Smiley In the meantime I've got a script that pings the mining servers before mining but not all servers respond to a ping.

DSTM miner is now added to smOS Cheesy

I will say I may be having a connection issue with my 12 card on it though. .

https://youtu.be/oF9zMJ-EhvQ
https://i.imgur.com/403Gr0Gm.png

My 6 cards are working perfect though with increased hashrates

EDIT had to take my 12 card off of DSTM . . not working properly any idea DSTM?

This is most likely because zm uses one separate connection for each GPU - zm handles them completely independent currently. Some routers/pools seem to have issues with this. I'm currently testing a new version which uses a single connection.

It has nothing to do with routers or pools. This is just because zm take too much cpu load.

With G4400s, I can barely put 7 cards... it's too unstable. Just a background process (an update or something) is enough to crash everything.

So, a 12 cards rig, I don't even think about it!
If you still want to run 12 cards, you'll probably have to upgrade the proc... or stick to ewbf

That's kind of odd, I'm using a g4560 and mining on 6 cards, CPU load average for me = 2.8%

I beleive the developer shares should be 2.00% of a "round" the miner works. It resets every time the connection is lost or the miner restarts. I think it's the only explanation to this.
as i know miner doesn't reset "rounds" or etc...i mean that after 10-minutes reconnect try's first sumbitted share can be DevFee.
and some more interesting thing:
miner show ~490
flypool show ~460
and dev H/r ~30

For a fact, actually, I can't seem to be able to mine zCash with any tool on linux right now on this rig.

Is there something obvious I am missing?

What card do you have? I'm using 1070s and 1080s Ti (windows 10)

I'm using 5 x 1070's and a 1060.

My OS is Ubuntu Server x64 16.04.1

My cpu is in power saving mode (800Mhz) while mining
Code:
lscpu | grep MHz
CPU MHz:               799.804
CPU max MHz:           3500.0000
CPU min MHz:           800.0000

Looking at 'top' right now and it's showing between 10%-30% on all 4 cores.

I guess it could be a Windows 10 issue?

I tried this on 8 x nVidia P106-100 cards with STOCK clocks.

Unfortunately it does not seem to work:

Can you mine with a single card?

Weird, works now. I tried with a single card and it worked, then I did all cards and it worked, same command line was before.

Trying it on 2 rigs of (1070ti x 6 + 1070 x 6).  Hashrates are up by at least 3%.  Power usage is increased by around 0.5% which is negligible.

Hope it will run as stable as EWBF.

One very minor improvement I would like to suggest:  I really like EWBF's nice colored text display especially the neat power usage box (-pec option).  Would be nice if something like that could be done.  I know it's only cosmetic but pretty things make the world a nicer place Smiley

Wanted to take a minute and say thank you. I used nicehash for a few days until I became a little more versed in mining and found your miner. My hash rate is up by 30 with no overclocking insane. Great work.

How the heck do you specify a worker name?

zm --server us1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user t1QmwNgVc6VrhTuGgL9so7jeVz1BYcN3dPz/worker1

^^ It won't start unless I remove /worker1

/facepalm

Am obviously without clue.

Hi,

I've just started using DSTM on SimpleMining OS on a 12x 1070 mining rig. It starts mining at around 5.4 Ksol/s but after an hour it drops to less than 4.8 Ksol/s and continues to drop.

My OC is:
100 core
600 memory
120 power limit

I was using EWBF with the same config and it was stable.

PS. Sorry for my English.

The only way to monitor console on SMOS is to use SSH or plug in a monitor.

Use w/e SSH client you like, ssh to your miner local ip (like 192.168.1.69), user is miner, pass is miner, then run command "screen -x miner" without quote of course.

You can also watch the console on simplemining.net, although it does take a minute or so to update. Otherwise set up ssh.

dstm - great work.  I am getting a more efficient miner out of this client than ewbf.

Rest of you gentlemen/ladies - your help has been much appreciated.

I'm going to try and get another 1080ti installed today in my system.  My concern is I chose the aorus extreme which takes a full 3 slots to fit.  It is going to be crammed in there pretty tight with my existing FE.  In the short term I may be forced to increase fan speeds and keep TDP down on both of them to keep heat down.  Long term I may have to come up with plan b.

Faster than ewbf but not quite as much as bminer - getting 2222 s/s with 3 x 3GB 1060s and 3 x 1070s

Annoying thing is it keeps crashing after like 5 hours using it
