Greeting. My Lol miner miner has a very weak hashrate on Simplemining Linux. I only have about 16 MH / s hashrat per graphics card for Ethereum. I have 6 graphics cards in the miner (1 X RX580 8 GB, 4 X RX580 4 GB and 1 X RX470 4 GB). Even an 8 GB graphics card hashes only 16 MH / s. All miners have such a weak hashrate: Phoenix miner, Team Red miner, Lol miner ..... Does anyone know what the problem is - these are my settings and hashrates:

take out --keepfree 5 parameter and show your OC of the cards...

that will help to improve your hashrate

Unfortunately, the hashrat is still the same. This is my OC:

It seems your gpus are throttling the memory because of the heating, you need to undervolt them all. I can see your memory in that screenshot, 1150mhz, supposed to be 2000mhz or higher.

can it control fan either?
i have got problem in separating one card from other.. i want to enter different wallets
--devices 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 --devices 7
it freezes in miner setting up

You can control temp of the gpus, to avoid and extra hot.

--tstop 75 --tstart 55 --tmode edge   -->  will mine until GPU arrive to 75C, then will stop until GPU is 55C to continue mining

--tstop 96 --tstart 72 --tmode memory  -->  will mine until Memory arrive to 96C, then will stop until Memory temp is 72C, but that is only possible for Navi's

If you want to put 2 wallets you should run 2 instances of lolMiner.

I tried this but it doesn't seem to work. I get error

Quote
unrecognised option '--tstop'

I am glad that you brought this up because this is something one of my GPU needs because I had to manually disable it because during some times of the day it just overheats way past 80C.

Copy direct from help of the miner. That is able after version 1.17

--tstart arg (=0)                     Minimal temperature for a GPU to start
in degree C. If set to 0 disables
                                        restart below a fixed temperature.
--tstop arg (=0)                      Temperature to pause or stop a GPU from
mining in degree C. If set to 0
                                        disables stop above a fixed
                                        temperature.
--tmode arg (=edge)                   Mode for temperature management.
                                        Use "edge" (default), "junction" or
"memory" to set the mode for
                                        temperature management.

Can you verify you run the latest release (1.17)? Because the earlier ones do not have the parameter, it was freshly introduced Smiley

Check out lolMiner 1.56, an efficient miner for Ethash, Beam and many Cuckoo-Cycle and Equihash variants for AMD & Nvidia cards at low fees.

Hello there,
Mining with Linux.
I want to thank you for making the best miner for ETH mining with 4GB gpus at this moment.
None of the other miners can mine epoch 382 with full hashrate, only lolminer can do it without a sweat.
So, what I did was, instead od 4072 or 4076 for mem allocating argument, I put 4080, since it is the size of current DAG and my 4GB gpu says it have 4090 capacity and 4071 of that free.
Next thing I did was to put keepfree 5 argument, I don’t know if that was a must.
So my 4GB RX470s all work in “memory saving mode” and I am getting full hashrate speed.
There it is.
In short, I am using 4080 for memory allocation and keepfree 5.
Your miner is the only one doing that.
Thank you for letting us squeeze the last atom of full hashrate from our 4GB AMD gpus!
Keep up the good work man

It appears this must not be possible for me?  I attempt to use MPT.  I've backed up my current BIOS using GPUz, but when I attempt to load into MPT it states "not supported"
Each rig is:
Windows 10 x64
(12) AMD RX570 8G cards (current AMD driver 20.4.1, but 20.11.3 is available)
lolminer 1.16a
AMDTweak 1.1.0.3

Adding in a snapshot of my AMD via GPUz
https://josh.lindemanns.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/RX570.jpg

To load MPT is not need it, but if you want it. You have to open More Power Tool (MPT) and save the file :-)

Well, at the moment MPT doesn't seem to do anything for me.  I made a backup of my current AMD BIOS, but MPT can't open that kind of file (not supported).  The drop-down is blank and clicking save does nothing.

THe AMDTweak thread is pretty dead, so not getting a lot of help over there.

To have a MPT file, you should open first the software MorePowerTools, select a card and later make a Save of the file. That software will make the MPT you are saying...

I mine with Hiveos and I tried the new 1.17 lolminer. I lost 1.5 mhash (compared to Phoenix), that´s ok, and I saved 4 w per card...that´s very cool. So I wanted to switch to lolminer but after 30 mins stable mining my rig crashed...it just freeze. I had to pull the cable. I had same settings that always, just switched miner. what else do I need to setup in Hive to get lolminer be stable?

You can control temp of the gpus, to avoid and extra hot.

--tstop 75 --tstart 55 --tmode edge   -->  will mine until GPU arrive to 75C, then will stop until GPU is 55C to continue mining

--tstop 96 --tstart 72 --tmode memory  -->  will mine until Memory arrive to 96C, then will stop until Memory temp is 72C, but that is only possible for Navi's

If you want to put 2 wallets you should run 2 instances of lolMiner.

stopping mining is different than controlling fan speed .. we are awaiting for fan speed control and clock frequency setter in app....
running two different instance doesn't work well

Have you seen which card freezes?. If you have log-on, it could be one card that need and extra or something else. If you put it we will be able to see what can be done.

About the Mhs it is important to look at shares of a long time. It is well know other miner inflate hashrate... but at the end the shares are the same or less in others miners

normally when a card freezes hiveos shows which card and reboots automatically...but not when all is stuck. how can the miner freeze the whole system?

you can try to enter in console, be sure you have log-on activaded if not write "log-on" and reboot. If another time happens... you will have a log in /var/log/miners/lolminer/... it will be really easy to see where it could be the problem.

No worry, that will work Wink The miner is just no longer spamming to the whole 0.0.0.0 range Wink Or speaking differently: if you are in same local network you still should be able to connect your browser to your rigs, no worry.

Not all miners (especially big ones) have their rigs on the same subnet.
So it's a valid scenario ...
Now I'm stuck with using  1.16
Please add option to specify IP of network, along with the API port !
Thanks !
